Two experiences just today. I frequent here at least five times per week. I visited at noon to grab lunch items. Lady who I've known for at least 7 years took a woman through express lane with $500 worth of items. Not only did she she not care, she tossed my yogurt at me. Like it was darts. Fast forward 6 hours, and a some tall super high dude claimed I was an asshole who didn't believe in Jesus in the express lane. He was clearly not right and a black woman bagging his groceries sided with the trippy dude. So here's where we're at in 2025.

Clean. bakery people need to pay attention to the customer waiting to get service . The girl looked at me twice and stayed in the back of the bakery

Was asked if I wanted bags I said no and yet still got bags even though I had my own bag right in front of me, then preceded to give me a stink eye cause there was one other customer who sounded like her friend. Not coming back

This Save Mart is better than all of the Save Marts in Fresno. They have a great deli and bakery.

It’s currently 11:55 pm on Sunday night. My husband got home a few minutes ago, he was at the store at 11:44. Doors were locked & staff inside ignored him. Store not supposed to close until midnight. City ordinance says must be open the hours that are posted. Not cool. Oh and some dude rode up on a bike and helped himself to one of your pillows and took off.

Convenient local grocery (& misc) shopping. Used to be moderate priced. But over the last year or so has become less competitive compared to other supermarkets. To be clear, I am NOT taking about inflation generally. That has affected all markets (that I am aware of). ABOVE the general inflation, it seems to me that SaveMart prices have risen more compared (for example) to the price rises at Food for Less (which I find also has better quality produce than SaveMart).
