Like always, I really appreciate the great wine and champagne selections at both at The Grape Tray and Vintage Reserve Wine. The weekly wine tastings at the Vintage Reserve will definitely not disappoint! They set the bar with great prices and are always rotating in the newest selections. And no matter what side of town you’re on, it makes it super convenient to pickup a few bottles. Thanks so much!!

Best wine shop in the Central Valley. They have the hard to find, best wines and will also make great recommendations at prices that meet your budget. He'll even search his sources if you're looking for a particular wine. He also is competitive with his prices.....I go here first for my cellar.

Dropped in this evening to pick up a couple of bottles of wine and while I've not uncorked them yet, I'm looking forward to doing so soon, and I'm confident I wont be disappointed.Owner and staff are friendly - no wine snobs here. Most of their selections are above my price point but I'm confident one who shops here is likely to get the best kick for their buckThis is not Trader Joe's, but the owner hand picks the inventory and given the limited space I'm confident he makes use of it wisely. I look forward to going back again in the near future.

This place is a little hidden treasure! COVID: masks worn by workers and required! The worker is very informative and really knows the wine! He was willing to show me a good Pinot and I bought it to try. They have tons of different wines. Just let the worker/owner? know what you're looking for and he knows exactly what to recommend! Appreciated! Great service and tons of great wines! Highly recommended!

The Grape Trays newest business, the VINTAGE RESERVE WINE store at 1552 E Champlain Drive, Suite 109, has absolutely everything and more if you're interested in wine. Stan did a beautiful job designing this business. It's first class. His knowledge of wine and his recommendations are always so appreciated. He gives outstanding customer service and goes up and above to make your visit the BEST experience possible. The Grape Tray on Palm and Bullard offers the same outstanding customer service. You are always greeted with a friendly face ready to help with any questions you might have. Steve Thorpe

I've known Stan for over 30 years and he just keeps getting the best wine for the best prices. Lately he has come across some very good close outs at 50% + off retail. Thanks Stan

Phenomenal location wine shop! I perused their selection on their website first, which is full of nice blog posts highlighting various wines. I love that they have a wide price range, from great deals on high quality wines to rare varietals. Honestly what drew me initially was the fact that they had an Elyse Merlot 2015, and at a discount too! Their shop is nicely laid out and very well curated. Can't wait to return to try more!

The Grape Tray is the best wine shop in the Central Valley. And that's not up for debate. If you care about quality wines and are serious about securing some pretty hard to find collectible wines, just as much as getting some fantastic daily drinkers, then look no further. Stan the owner and James one of the wine stewards there actually care about what you are looking for, not what will make some god forbidden metric. If you go in looking for a certain kind of wine, you can trust the Grape Tray to get you there, or closer than anywhere else will. Having been in their position a few times, the liberty of not having a pushy salesman is very refreshing and reassuring. You can be honest about your budget, and about your taste and be certain they'll find what you're looking for. I've secured some nicer wines from them, and thankfully they got some great connections so upon asking, you'll more than likely succeed. An example would be Beaucastel- I randomly asked Stan about them one day (well before it made a top 100 list) and he simply asked "what color and year?" I replied both white and red, and whatever the current year is. Three days later I got a call from Stan. The wines were there. Oh and good luck finding that anywhere in the valley, at an actual realistic price. I had tried for two years prior getting it from a larger booze shop in town. No luck there. Looking for affordable tasty wines? They got plenty of those. I'm an avid Riesling fan and I'll say that the Grape Tray for about the past 3 years that I've shopped there has always had the best selection in Fresno and the greater Central Valley. Many of them in between $10-20 and these are from very famous producers. Same goes for other imports and domestic wines. Many times I've sent people over there because they just got the wines people want AND will want in the future. Can I go on and on? Of course I can. Will I? Well you can't drink wine and read this simultaneously! Believe me, there are far and few people I trust buying wine from. Either they don't source good quality, sell bulky crap, store it inappropriately or have clueless "wine associates". I know I can walk into the Grape Tray any given day and leave confident that the wine I'm taking home was well taken care of, passed the Grape Tray vetting process and discussed with knowledgeable aficionados. The Grape Tray's my shop of choice if I'm out shopping for myself! Pay them a visit! They'll love to get to know you- oh and one other thing: after that they'll greet you by name. BY NAME. That's very important. They're not selling wine to another number. They're selling wine to you, a person with a name. And they'll remember you.

I love this store! The inventory is modest but the wine selection is well-curated. I have yet to buy a wine from this shop that is subpar and I'm always able to find a wine suitable to my needs. Stan, the owner, is quite knowledgeable and is always happy to assist in finding the right wine. Today I found the perfect wine for tomorrow's dinner.

Stan knows his wine. The big box wines stores only want to sell you wine based on the most profit they can make. Those little stickers you see at total wine with a salesperson picture are profit makers for them. Want good wine, go to The Grape Tray.
