I dont believe I've ever had this bad of a shopping experience! Walked in with the full intention to get a new phone and plan and so happily walked out with nothing. The salesperson i delt with was like a terrible shady used car salesperson! He had no facts, told me lies i seen right through, and even tried to talked me out of what I wanted!

Review for Verizon Store – River Park Fresno
I want to begin by acknowledging that there are truly exceptional people who work at this Verizon store. Supervisor Daniel stands out as one of the kindest, most intelligent, and knowledgeable Verizon team members I’ve encountered in Fresno. Associates Bella and Seth have also been incredibly professional and helpful during my visits. Cody, and a woman with glasses whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch, both provided 100% top-tier customer service. Their support should be recognized and commended.
However, despite these positive experiences, I feel compelled to address one of the most disrespectful and demeaning interactions I have ever had in a retail environment—an experience that left me hurt, humiliated, and deeply disappointed.
During a recent visit, I was assisted by an employee named Caleb. From the very beginning, his approach was condescending and dismissive. He began our interaction by saying, “Don’t interrupt me, I’m speaking”—completely inappropriate, especially when addressing a customer. He then questioned my decision to purchase a Gizmo device for my daughter, even after I explained I had a specific plan. Instead of supporting my choice, he undermined and disregarded it, saying I should just order online, despite my stated needs
For the record, under California Government Code § 11135 and the Unruh Civil Rights Act (Civil Code § 51), it is illegal for businesses in California to discriminate against or harass individuals based on gender, veteran status, or housing status. As a protected class under both federal and California law—including the Fair Housing Act, California Military and Veterans Code, and local anti-discrimination policies in Fresno County—I deserve to be treated with respect and equality.
I share this not to shame, but to call for accountability and training so that no other person—especially someone already facing challenges like housing insecurity—experiences this kind of treatment. Verizon, please invest in customer service training that aligns with your brand values and California’s protections.
To the amazing team members who do their jobs with integrity—thank you. You are the reason I return.

If you’re buying something like a new phone the store staff fall over themselves to help you and provide good service but if you need anything else they won’t do anything to help you and just tell you to call customer service. And Verizon customer service is beyond horrible. The call centers appear to be in other countries and the staff are very poorly trained and just keep transferring your call from one incompetent person to the next. I’m very disappointed and am considering switching carriers. I’ve been with Verizon for 22 years but loyalty means nothing to them

Jules Beneke is an absolute rock star and a true asset to Verizon. I had a complicated problem with my phone and she was able to pinpoint and solve the problem expertly. She also made sure to explain each step and although it was closing time, she made sure everything was perfect before I left. She even helped me pair my Apple Watch! During the process she was friendly and very professional. If I had a business I'd definitely want a person like Jules working for me.

Awful customer service, old man with grey hair extremely rude. Came in on Saturday to upgrade my iPhone 13 Pro to a iPhone 15 pro. Refused to offer a seat, or to upgrade me due to my phone not being backed up. Drove 10 minutes to Champlain and Perrin Verizon. 100x better customer service. Got a new phone and was out the door within 10 minutes. Don’t waste your time coming to this corporate location.
