Ive had the home service now for over a year. Haven't had any issues, once it went down for about 4 hours or so, but days before they called us and informed us they were going to be doing work at specified time for work they were doing. Cheaper and faster with way less interruptions than other service providers I've had in the past.

Absolutely Terrible Customer Service
GigabitNow is, without a doubt, one of the worst ISPs I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with. The internet went down after only 3 weeks, and when I called customer support, I quickly realized they have no real support staff—just a rep who was utterly useless. The only thing they could do was tell me to restart my modem, as if I hadn’t already tried that.
There was zero urgency on their part to fix the issue. No estimated time for a resolution, no offer to send a technician, no actual troubleshooting—just a generic “we created a ticket, hopefully someone gets to it soon” and nothing more. It’s infuriating to pay for a service that doesn’t work and deal with a company that clearly doesn’t care.
If you’re considering GigabitNow, do yourself a favor and stick with Spectrum/AT&T. Their complete lack of customer support and accountability makes them an absolute nightmare to deal with.

Super bad the wifi doesnt work half the time hard to connect via phone whole family had issues and when i emailed them about the issue the tech wanted to run a bunch of bs test like unplugging the router for 10 seconds and refusing to actually help cause they don't know the answer what a joke ... ps this isn't isnt 2008 stop using that generic line to unplug and pray

Had it about 2 months in Simi valley. No issues. No outages. Speeds are adequate for my son’s playing. Can’t get on portal to save my life but I’m sure I’ll work it out. Better than spectrum so far. Hope it stays that way.

When the service works is great. When customer service is needed impossible to get a hold of. Service goes off when ever there is a power outage unlike other service providers.

Horrible company!!! Service is down as much as it is up. They don't answer the phone. My internet box was not working. They told me they would have someone show up in two days!!!! Two days??? A week later they sent an email and Said the box is OK. It wasn't. BS!!!! Good thing that I never cancelled my AT&T. I have tried for 3 months to cancel the service. Always ignored and they continue to bill me. Never again with these guys

So far horrible service.
We signed up months ago to get service since they just added it to our area.
They show up, dig up the lawn to run the line and once theyre done they say theres something wrong with the signal and that the city contractor needs to come out to fix it.
Waited about 2 months, they finally come out and they do all the testing and say the lines are working fine. So we call and they finally came out today and say that there is still an issue with the signal.
Now we have to wait again for the city to come back out and check the lines. Its pretty ridiculous that they send people out that don't know what they are doing.
So far not off to a great start!!

**Buyer Beware** - Gigabit Now, Placentia. DO NOT BUY!!
So today was our second negative experience with Placentia’s Gigabit Now internet provider and we’ve cancelled our service. Sorry for the lengthy post but hopefully this is helpful to potential consumers.
We’ve had their fiber internet service for about 5 months, until cancelling today. Obviously internet service for many people has become essentially a necessary utility service that so much of our lives depend on, but Gigabit as a service provider does not understand the basic expectations and reliance of their customers.
First, a little over a month ago Gigabit had a city-wide outage that impacted both all of Fullerton and Placentia customers when a physical line break occurred by a construction crew. That’s understandable but Fullerton’s service was restored within hours, while Placentia’s service was out for over 2 days. The extended Placentia outage I learned was due to the lack of redundant infrastructure that had not yet been put in place. The service is still very new and lacks a lot of infrastructure but customers are paying full price. The customer service was horrible on keeping customers informed, and the resolution to not having service for 2 days was a credit of $7. Two days of no TV, Security system, music and not being able to work was a lot bigger deal than I felt they were treating it as. Fortunetely I was able to fire up a Starlink and get my house back online but other customers were not as lucky.
Then today, the final straw was a billing issue that led to our service being put on hold in the middle of the night (Saturday night). Out of fairness, when I called I found out it was due to an outstanding balance, but their lack of being able to resolve it is why I’m done. They’re able to turn our service off during the weekend but can’t turn it back on apparently.
When I called customer service all they were able to tell me is there was a billing issue but the billing department was not available until Monday. We have always been on automatic payments, so I was surprised that was the apparent issue. I logged into their customer portal and I was able to find out that the credit card on file had expired. No problem, I updated the card on file but there was no way to process a payment and nothing showing an outstanding balance. I went back to my emailed invoices and found my last invoice that had an expected monthly amount due, but no outstanding or overdue balance, so I was still confused. Mind you we received no notice of our credit card expiring, there being an outstanding balance or that a payment was not able to be processed, nothing!! Like I mentioned our last invoice looked just like all the others and there was no warning that our service was going to be suspended.
After calling back customer service they recognized and had seen this issue before and weren’t sure why the company hadn’t fixed it yet and were sorry but couldn’t do anything. Gigabit now needs to have the ability for simple payments and billing info to be processed 24/7 if they’re going to put peoples service on hold in the middle of the weeekend. Their customer service agents need to be able to handle billing issues if their website is not able to. I’m completely frustrated and have now cancelled their service and gone back to Spectrum. Was able to sign up and have Spectrum turned back on within 30 minutes, on a Sunday.
If you’re considering Gigabit Now, DON’T!! Their infrastructure is not built out, basic customer service is terrible and their customer portal is worse!!! Save yourself the headache.
Placentia should consider other service providers besides Gigabit now to provide service with the infrastructure (Sofi Nettworks) that has been installed. Don’t use Gigabit Now!!! Or ever!!

Stupid customer service. I called customer support four times after signing up for gigabit fiber, and each time they didn't know anything about my question and clearly stated that they didn't know. Also, I scheduled a new service installation, but no one showed up, meantime I disconnected my previous service so that I wouldn't have to pay two bills for service and they didn’t show up for next 4 days and I go without internet.
Update : Account number I received on my email is 8792580848
Also, I called you several times and was told by the support team that someone would contact you about this issue, but I have not received a call back from you.

I used 2 months of this service, when it's working, internet is very good, but it always have problems, like always, so it's always down.
I am back to Spectrum now.

I patiently waited over a year for the installation of your service, and I was initially enthusiastic about the switch. However, the frequent outages and the lack of responsiveness from technical support, who repeatedly promised callbacks that never materialized, have left me deeply disappointed. Consequently, I have decided to revert to cable.

Pleasant experience with Gigabit now. In the time I’ve had it, there has been one outage but was quickly brought back up, contrast to what I used to have. Their technical support, when needed, is very quick to answer and/or send a technician over. Much more happy with fiber vs cable that I used to have. Would totally recommend making the switch. For the price of other providers, why would you not switch to fiber at the increased speeds both up/down.

It’s great when it works, but I’ve only had the service for a few months and there have already been several ”system-wide outages”, one lasted for more than three hours. Not acceptable with WFH being the norm.
Might be switching back AT&T. Speeds are a lot slower but the service never dropped.
