1st time customer and very happy. I understand other customers didnt have the best time with fullerton hertz, but I had an amazing time. I was given a 2024 toyota and was very pleased. I did an online reservation and did noticed it states nissan rogue or similar, so I was not 100% expecting that very suv. I was a bit discouraged that nowhere online hertz states a 500 holding fee would be done, I used my vacation money which that was a bummer, but luckily I had emergency money. Other than that, the person who returned the car took good care of the car, everything was perfect. Closing contract was fast, no hidden fees. I kept my word, returned on time. Will do this again.

Terrible service all of this time. I went there three times to rent a car. And always there was no car that I reserved in website. They said I should pay more to rent another car, and there was no discount for that. So I have no choice to pay more, I understood, they said that is policy. And they said wait, because even that car was not there lol. They was not sure the car will arrive on time. They said just wait until they call me. So I said okay, and I waited 1~2hour.And the worst part was here. They said that 24years old can't rent a car with debit. But I can't understand why did they tell me after three times I visit , and after all payment . So right before renting a car, they refund it.What the?I'm curious this is problem of hertz policy or this place.I strongly suggest that you should trust below reviews.

They didn't have the car I reserved so they tried to put me in a smaller car that for some reason costs more. After that they went to sanitize the car which took like 30 min. Only giving them an extra star because the staff was nice and patient but seems to not have everything ready to go which is annoying. I don't think I've ever had to wait for a car to be cleaned after I book it. Usually that's something that would be done ahead of time

This Herz is badly managed. I arrived to pick up the rental at 10 and didn't get it until an hour later. Car wasn't clean so they had to clean it. They didn't have anything other than electric for an airport drop off, which makes no sense because you have to charge the car before your flight?! It's a Herz policy in California, be forewarned.

They charged me for full charge because when it was short 10%. The employee failed to mention it when I got the car. It’s no where mentioned in the contract about the fee.

Great experience. Booked with Hertz Fullerton HLE via Auto-Europe. Friendly staff, quick assistance with both pick-up and return. The car (Ford Escape) was new and comfortable.

Trust all the 1 star reviews. Don't ever rent from this location. They tried to double charge me as my reservation was already paid through chase with whom I booked with. Now I have to dispute with Chase because they charged me again after I returned the vehicle. When I returned the car, I also over heard them lying to their customers about the possible performance of a ev car and how far it could possibly go on one charge. Avoid renting from this location at all cost.

Horrible experience. After a car accident, I had a rental car for almost a month. I receive a call from the location, saying that they need to take the car in for a "mandatory oil change". Mind you, this was not scheduled in advance. They told me that the car would be available by the end of the day. They rushed me to take out my things out of my car, only to have the manager accuse me of having dogs in the vehicle after they checked it into the rental facility (I haven't had a dog in years). Then told me that i wouldnt get the car back until monday (I took it in on a Thursday). They asked me condescending if I wanted to clean the vehicle (waving the key at my face) or they'd charge me $200 for a cleaning fee. Because I have no transportation, am 65 years old, and have physical health issues, I had to proceed with what they said. They charged me for another rental. I am in tears. I feel like my dignity has been ripped. I will be editing this with names of the manager as soon as I can.

My transmission blew so I had to get a rental car while it was getting fixed. After shopping around different places Hertz had the cheapest so I went for it. I picked up the car and didn’t have the physical card that I paid with, not a problem I could change cards after I, not the workers, had to call their customer service. After listening to 2 minutes of an automated message, pressing at least 3 different numbers that took me to more automated messages I was finally able to speak to someone. After all that, an extra $500 later so $900 total to rent the car that I didn’t even ask for. Thanks!

Worst and horrible service. My recent experience with Hertz was nothing short of disappointing, and I feel compelled to share it with others to prevent them from enduring a similar ordeal. I had reserved a premium sedan a month in advance, as my family and I were traveling with a child and required a comfortable and safe vehicle. However, Hertz failed to live up to our expectations at every turn.Upon our arrival at the rental location, we were informed that the premium sedan we had reserved was unavailable. To our astonishment, we were offered a two-door Camaro, which was entirely impractical for a family with a child. This made no sense, considering our initial reservation.Reluctantly, we accepted the offer of an SUV, which was not our preferred choice. We inquired if the price would remain the same, but the agent, Leo, informed us that the SUV would actually cost more than the premium sedan. This goes against the industry standard, where customers are often provided with free upgrades when their reserved vehicle is unavailable. What added to our frustration was the lack of empathy displayed by Leo and another employee named Nat. They seemed disinterested in addressing our concerns and repeatedly claimed there was nothing they could do to help. After over an hour of waiting with no reasonable solution in sight, we were informed that we could travel to the Hertz location in Santa Ana, which was 30 minutes away, to rent a different car. This was a significant inconvenience, and it felt like Hertz was not taking responsibility for the disruption they had caused. This experience with Hertz Fullerton was exceptionally disappointing.I would advise potential customers to think twice before choosing Hertz, as the lack of consideration for customers' needs and the subpar service we received was unacceptable.

It's okay... Not great; not terrible. - Very spartan office. Basically just four walls; four chairs; a counter. One or two dusty pictures. - Lightly staffed, Two most of the time we were there, with a third guy appearing now and then. So given the apparently inordinate amount of time it takes to enter the necessary information into the computer, expect to be waiting around for quite awhile as they process the people ahead of you. We spent ~1 hour each time for both picking up and dropping off.- When we had completed processing the rental agreement they told us we could wait outside and one of them would bring the car around from out back. For some inexplicable reason this took 25 minutes at least (on top of the hour of waiting and processing). - They seem to have plenty of EV's if you'd like to rent one of those.

Beware! The other one star reviews are warranted. We had booked a car 1-2 months in advance; we get there and no was car available. The young man at the counter did not care enough to make it right. He said he had good news though, they have an SUV, it would be twice the price. He said "since you only are renting for one day the price is not that big of deal." He didn't seem to understand the issue was an agreed upon price and vehicle. So I asked if there was someone he could call to resolve the issue, such as his manager. His reply "no, he is going to tell you the same thing." Now sitting in Fullterton (not the best area to just hang around in) We tried to explain again we did not need an SUV, and it really is not our fault that you don't have the vehicle. At this point he just said "sorry" and stared at us. 30+ minutes later the manager was somehow available for him to talk to and they finally gave us the SUV for the price we reserved the car for. There was only 1/4 tank of gas and had not been cleaned. One more CAUTION they had me "sign for the rental" what you are signing for is the damage that has been previously pictured, NO walk around to agree where damage is. We took a video all the way around and also picture of the 1/4 tank so we would not be blamed for any issues. If you like having blood pressure raising, money sucking experience go to Fullerton Hertz.

This place is really shady. Offered me a longer range Tesla for “35 more” but never thought they should tell me it’s per day. Also, how am I able to book online with no issue but when I get there they charge me an extra “19 more” for being underage (23) and guess what it was per day as well. Didn’t sign any paperwork so there was no way to check the details, I was only told to sign on the keypad. I don’t know how this company can keep getting away with this. Got stuck paying almost double than what we budgeted for. This place ruined my trip and I will never come back again

Literally every customer before and after me was also having problems picking up their cars. The original car I booked was not available and they offered a Chevy Bolt which was electric and didn't work for my long road trip (now I honestly doubt that car was even there). I was forced to upgrade to a Corolla which was almost double the original price of what I booked (and more than I remembered seeing online). Very shady business practices. When I would go to Enterprise car rentals, if your car is not available and better one is, the upgrade was free. Here, I spent almost double what I originally booked online. I will never come back to this Hertz.
