Don't go to this bank. They don't even try to help. They just make you call customer service, and then customer service tells you to go to the branch. Everyone wants to push the responsibility of helping the customer on to someone else.

My parents endorsed their car insurance check to me for deposit so I can take care of their wrecked car. I have had savings & Checking accounts with Citibank for more than 25 years. On March 18, 2022, a teller at Cypress Citibank said that my parents' signatures are needed to be verified before the check can be deposited into my account. Since my parents live in Garden Grove, the next day, March 19, I drove them to Garden Grove Citibank to have the check deposit. However, the manager at Garden Grove denied the deposit because my parents don't have an account with Citibank. I told her that I have a Citibank account and my parents have endorsed the check to me for the deposit, but she still denied the service. According to the manager, I could not deposit the check because the endorsed party does not have an account with Citibank. I wonder if this is really the Citibank policy or just the false information from the unknowledgeable manager. I have never had encountered this problem in the past from Citibank or from other banks. Overall, I'm really disappointed with the service. Each bank provides the customers with different information, which is really wasting customers time.

I was very much dreading my visit due to a previous phone call with a representative with no resolution. I needed to come in to activate my Citi card that I did not use for a long period of time. I spoke with Huy at the window and he was so helpful and understanding. I learned that my account was actually marked as "unused" due to inactivity. He was patient and all smiles the whole time which made me feel better when I couldn't answer some questions or took a while to check on some things. I appreciated the service and I wanted to give recognition where it was due. I was in and out in less than 5-10 minutes. Thanks Huy!

Been using citi for a decade now, been to many great branches, but for this location only, I get odd and cold interactions every time. I went in this morning for the first time this year and teller gave me attitude for no reason. And I thought about she gave attitude on the client before me as well... Some people should consider working in the back if you don't want to be in the frontline assisting people. I'm just going to avoid this place altogether.

Trying to open a new account I wish they'd answer the phone! Been trying to set an appointment online and that doesn't work and they haven't answered their phone since last week!

5/1/2020 BIG shout out to the friendly security guard, easing tension and helping patrons standing outside patiently in Line, then told they were NOT allowed in to do simple business transactions! Presumably my regular branch was temporarily closed, due to Covid19 issues. Soooooo frustrating! Thank you kind Security guard for assistance! Infuriating that the manager of MY branch was running this one at the time, and I couldn't do business as usual!Thank you Security Guard for being more thoughtful than the institution you work for! I hope my payment isn't LOST again!

I visit this branch almost everyday. I make deposits for my job and such and my favorite teller is Liliana. She's incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. She's quick and finds a solution on the spot. Makes my work trips a whole lot easier.

This is the WORST bank and branch. Citibank chose to close my account for whatever reason, alright, great, i don't care. But when I came in to withdraw my fund's they won't let me, i first talked to Helen, a banker, she told me to talk to the branch manager (picture attached) she wouldn't give me my $ either telling me I have to wait for a check. Are you kidding me? I never knew a bank can tell me when, how I can get MY $. I came back in today, talked to a banker named David, he was able to help me and get my $. It's funny how a banker knows more than a "manager" that sits on her a** and doesn't do s*** but sit around talking on the phone.

This branch did so many tings wrong that no other bank had. I haven't any difficulty as this as I have with any other bank, the service were terrible, even the Assistance Branch Manager were unprofessional. Logged into my Yelp account, search them up to review them, seeing they are only a 3 stars rating branch. I came to open a basic checking account, first thing I asked if they issue debit card on the same day, she say yes, so I proceed with the process. Personal Banker Helen Ha Nguyen, NMLS ID:725323 told me of their promotion if I make large deposits amount, I only need a basic account to have use of a debit card as they issue it on the same day because I lost mine of a different bank, it takes 5-10 business days to receive it. She collected my information then told me my address can't be found, I verify it, the address was correct and she still say she can't locate it, so I gave her another address, she also say the address can't be locate either. During the process she asked me if I own my home or rent, I didn't answer her because its personal and is non-relating to me opening a basic check account. After a while waiting at her desk, she then ask for 2 forms of proof of address. I have had banks asking for 2 forms of ID, not 2 forms of proof of address when the address is already on the ID. Was she not happy that I didn't want to open a promotional account? Or is it because I didn't answer her if I rent or own my home? Or is it both? AND the information she gave to the customer that she served before me was wrong, if we have a checking account and with a debit card associated to it, the card will no longer work if the checking account that associated with that debit card is closed, but she told him the debit card will still be work, hello? Anyway, the Personal Banker went away for about 10 mins or so to speak to someone as I patiently waited, she came back with the Assistant Branch Manager, Neelam Ralput NMLS ID: 726227, this woman gave me a handshake, tell me who she is, then tell me enable for me to open a bank account I need to have 2 proof of address. But as I know, the customer only need to show proof of address IF their ID have no resident address, which mine has. She then told me that because I first came in with a different address then use a different address on the ID, and for that reason they can't open an account. They are a bank, to serve customers base on their guideline, they are not an investing facility to investigate if my address is correct or is incorrect, and I have everything that was needed base by bank guideline. After I told her that, she then agreed to proceed with opening a bank account for me, she took my ID, went somewhere for about 15 mins, then came back and told me she can't because I started out with a different address. Almost an hours of my times went wasted. I contacted their customer service department requested to be transfer to department that deal with situation as this, got transfer, the representative contacted the branch, but both the personal banker and the assistant branch manager went to lunch? The representative then told me that their bank don't issue debit card on the same day. Almost 2hrs went wasted with no result. I drove 30 mins to a different Citibank branch and got a checking account open with friendly greeting and with no difficulty at all, AND got the debit card right after the account was open. This branch does almost everything wrong, banks in general needs 2 forms of ID, NOT 2 forms of proof of address while the address is already on the ID! Any debit card will NO LONGER work when the checking account that associating with it is closed, DON'T go telling your customer that the card will still work! I wonder if their Branch Manager is also an idiot, I requested to speak to their Branch Manager but the person was not in that day. If you don't want a bad banking experience, don't go here.

I came here to reopen my old account, that I closed years ago. When I walked in the teller told me I had to wait to talk to a banker, I waited about 15 mins. Once I sat with the banker she was extremely rude, felt rushed and I was told I had to have over $1,500 to open a basic account. I have banked with different banks in the past and never heard of anything like this. Just felt like the banker didn't want to help. When I asked her why did I need such a high amount she couldn't explain. I'd understand if I owed the bank some money but I didn't. Worst experience with a bank I've ever had.

Was it the random service charges they always used to "gift" me with? Possibly; or maybe it was the ridiculous overdraft charges and minimum balance fees.... It's really hard to pin down exactly what's the worst thing about banking here, but apart from a couple of friendly tellers, there's nothing keeping me here so it's time to vote with my feet! Life is too short to deal with the kind of banking experience I had here :-(
