I can’t say enough good things about Lucas Auto Repair! I recently had my rack and pinion and power steering pump replaced here, and the whole experience was outstanding from start to finish. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and very straightforward about what needed to be done.
What really stood out to me was the timeliness of the repair — they had everything completed much faster than I expected, and I never felt like my car was sitting around waiting for attention. On top of that, their pricing was extremely fair, especially compared to some of the other quotes I had gotten.
It’s not always easy to find a repair shop you can trust, but Lucas Auto Repair really impressed me with their honesty, efficiency, and quality of work. My car is running smoothly again, and I feel confident knowing the job was done right. I’ll definitely be coming back here for future maintenance and repairs, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and affordable service!

This is the third time when I went to Lucas, becou it is a closer to my home.
So pro , honest and confident....I used to go at First Class Auto Center in Anaheim for the past 24 years. They used to be ok and fair on the prices, especially i was a good customer
Not anymore... I compared the prices, and Boy/z got me a very good estimate twice... I'm talking about hundreds, not peanuts...
So , guess what? I'm definitely switch over Lucas's.

I called and spoke to Lucas. He was quick and effective in his communication. He inspected my car as soon as I arrived and he found the problem immediately. He then showed me the problem and explained what could be done. I was in and out in less than an hour and his prices are very reasonable. Thank you Lucas!

I came by today to get a quote for brake & rotor change bc the manager from Midas told me i needed to change my brake and rotor for $450. The manager checked my car right away and told me I didn’t need to change it at the moment - that it’s not worth paying right now to change it. I appreciated his honesty & not pressuring me to change something I didn’t need. Built a rapport w me from this experience!!

I called this guy to have a pre-purchase inspection on a car. He said he could do that but when i bring the car to the place, he lifted the car up for 5mins and have a very quick visual inspection. When he did the OBD scanner, he only showed us that the TPMS sensor needed to be replaced, and did not tell us about DEPLOYED driver airbags, non functioning passenger airbags , NON functional ABS system, the rear shocks were leaking and that the hood was changed and the car had an accident. and when we asked why the airbag light was flashing he simply ignored the question and assured us the car was “Safe” to drive.
later on when we went to another mechanic after buying the car, and were informed about everything wrong with the car, we called and asked Lucas why he did not tell us about the problems, he said that he “didn’t lie and that the car was safe to drive, but yeah it had an accident before”.
We ended up buying a car based on his recommendation that we would have never bought otherwise and now we are stuck paying for it to get fixed and all is because of this shady mechanic.
TLDR: Shady, dishonest mechanic, never go there!

Never coming back here; I got an oil change from here 5,000 miles ago, and this time I decided to do my own oil change; not only did they over torqued the oil filter cartridge, but also put way less oil than they should've. My car takes 4.6quarts the oil, and I barely got 1.5 quarts of used oil out of it. My car isn't burning oil, and even if it was, there's no way it would have consumed 3 quarts in a 5,000-mile range. And why do you over torque the oil filter so much? The drain plug only needs 10lbs of torque, and the cartridge itself takes 28lbs of torque. The cartridge ended breaking from the ridiculous amount of force I had to put on it, and I swear I got a hernia trying to get the damn plug out. I knew it was suspicious when they gave me the car back in 10 minutes. Want it done right, you gotta do it yourself.
