Went in today (3/21/24) to pick up one item and saw that all 14 self checkout lanes were closed. I had been in about a month earlier and same thing. At that time I used regular checkout and waited 15 minutes in order to checkout. When I walked in today I asked an associate if the closure was permanent. He said, "Yes, at least for now." I immediately turned around and walked out. Walmart just lost my business. If you are going to close 14 self checkout stands, then you need to staff regular checkout lines appropriately. This is beyond ridiculous. About a year or so ago, they closed down some regular lines to open more self checkout lines and now after investing all that money and energy, they are closing them. Not cool!

Honestly if I could rate this Walmart zero stars I would. Never have I had this bad of an experience with any Walmart. I went in to get film developed on 11/26/2022 and on the envelope it says it got delivered 12/5/2022. Normally a Walmart will contact you when your film is ready for pickup and this Walmart didn't try to contact me in any way. When I tried to reach out over the phone for a few days because this Walmart is far from me no one would answer. I later on went to call corporate and even they couldn't get the store to answer the phone. It just goes to show the unprofessionalism this Walmart has because upon going in multiple departments just had people standing around the phone messing around or talking. Rosalee the coach had nothing to say upon me expressing the issue and a worker rudely asked me why I wanted a manager instead of trying to say something along the lines of "is there any issue I might try to help you with?". Overall the experience was horrible, I won't be referring people to this Walmart, I won't be going back to that Walmart, and I'm not even sure if I'll shop at Walmart in general after this.

They don't allow alcohol through self check out even though they legally have to check your I.D and make you go through the main line that takes 40 minute then they baby sit you like you are going to steal at said self check out. F*** this store.

********UPDATE: Honestly, after reading reviews below and realizing this is not an isolated incident, I do believe they have purposely disconnected their phone or muted the ring somehow. There's no way they're not aware of this issue. Which means they've actively chosen to avoid doing anything about it. I'm going to take this way further up the line, I'm going to get someone's attention that can actually do something about this. If anyone is interested in helping me do this, or has any names or dates of specific employees/incidents, email me @
[email protected]******END OF UPDATEHonestly.. I would give ZERO stars if I could. This place, in regards to just their customer service ALONE, is a joke. I get that it's WalMart, right? And honestly, no one likes working retail, I personally have promised myself I'll never work retail again, I do get it. People do suck, and dealing with their petty problems is not worth the laughable pay rate for any & all of the employees there. But.. for once I do somewhat agree with the sentiment of "Get a better job" in this instance. Although considering the current effort (or better, the lack there of..) level put into a job like WalMart Customer Service, I have a feeling that no one there would really be able to cut it at a job where you'd actually have to try. The date is Friday, December 9th, 2022. The current time is 7:01PM (Pacific). I am literally typing this minutes after spending the last 30 minutes trying to just get someone on the phone from this WalMart location. The store is currently open, just to be sure it was open, I drove by it real quick because I realize that the internet is not always reliable.. meaning, just because my phone tells me WalMart's hours state it is open right now, doesn't necessarily mean that is 100% accurate 100% of the time. But no, driving by, I see clearly that the store is very much open & really not even that busy considering it is the holiday season. "Not that busy" is rather important to note in this case because... I CALLED THIS STORE PHONE NUMBER(S) FIVE DIFFERENT TIMES STARTING AT 6:20PM, AND EACH TIME THE PHONE RANG AND RANG AND RANG FOR WELL OVER FIVE MINUTES EACH TIME AND BECAUSE NO ONE FELT COMPELLED TO ANSWER THE PHONE... THE SYSTEM EVENTUALLY WOULD JUST HANG UP ON ME!!! I FINALLY GAVE UP AT 6:56PM AND HERE I AM! I try really hard not to write negative reviews. I consider myself to be a very reasonable, understanding, and most of all EMPATHETIC individual. I do know how frustrating a job like this can be. And I will admit, my days working retail found me, at many times, wishing I could scoop my eyeballs out with a melon baller rather than answer a ringing phone.. God only knows who was waiting for me on the other end of that call, and what really d*** & annoying "problem" they had for me to have to pretend to give a s*^t about. But here's the thing.. I ALWAYS ANSWERED THE CALL BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT I WAS PAID TO DO. We all have to pay our dues when it comes to employment, we all have to suck it up & smile while the "Karen's" of the world got in our face and screamed at us for our "incompetence" because we couldn't process a return she no longer had the receipt for and was well passed the 30-day return period for, yet somehow it was still our fault, and we took it like f^%^king CHAMPIONS because at the end of the day.. that $8.25/hour was ALL WE HAD. I am someone who FIGHTS for the right of these employees to make $15-$16 an hour to be minimum wage, I fight for people to earn a living wage, and roll my eyes at people who make comments about how someone "flipping burgers" or "working at walmart", in their eyes, doesn't "DESERVE" to earn as much money as them because of whatever privileged a** reason they pull out of their arsenal on any given day... I know that working at WalMart probably sucks in all honesty, and it sucks that the way the world works is that someone has to d

I walked into the electronics dept and while waiting for my turn to be helped Cody approached the register and politely responded to me when I asked him if he is opening another register. But he was only attending to other duties. But when Îve asked him again about something else he immediately walked me to the aisle and explained to me what which item should be choosing. He is someone that you will appreciate and enjoy dealing with because he is naturally friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, professional and excellent. He must have been tired already for the day but he helped me all the way without making me feel that I was asking too much already. He even excused himself briefly to ask for another sales person to help someone else who was waiting for him. That right there is caring and what you call educated conscience. After everything: he rung up my purchase& helped with the carry out!!! He is simply great! An asset to this store by all means!!

I just had a horrific experience at the Walmart in Garden Grove on Gilbert St. 3 employees Kevin, Ashley and Pedro wasted an hour of my life for a product that was on the floor the whole entire time. These employees went in circles with lies after lies not knowing anything about where this product was. First I called to see if they had stock and they said yes. When I arrived there, they said didn't have stock and said if the shelf is empty that's all they had. Then I asked if they could check the back, employee Kevin scanned the barcode and confirmed they had 20 in stock. He goes back to check and said it's there but they just don't have time to get it now and I would have to order online. At this point I'm frustrated and confused on why I have to order online to sit and wait for it to be ready when he can just go back there and get it for me? So I asked to speak to a Manager and Kevin says there is no manager tonight but there's a team leader. Ok let me speak to that person. Then comes team leader Ashley, with an entire different reply. Saying both went back there again and it's not there but on a truck that would get there tomorrow morning. Now I'm furious with being lied to straight in my face and running in circles again. She now says she will call her manager to come speak to me. I'm literally baffled at this point. But why did Kevin say there's no manger tonight? So Pedro arrives, whom I thought was being helpful and would get to the bottom of this. And said he will go look for it. So all 3 disappears to go "try" to get it from the back. 5 mins later, Ashley comes back and says it's on the floor near the front. Wow, like really wow! This is how Walmart trains all their employees? They were taught to lie and not know where to find a product in their entire store? What happened to technology? Were Kevin and Ashley being lazy? Did they even go in the back to check? Or were they really that absent minded or simply just idiots? I'm baffled. Such bad customer service.

Lately it has become a local hang out for homeless people and security doesn't seem to do anything about it. While cleaning my backyard I found a syringe, and when we look over the wall we saw more syringes. I called Walmart on 10/20/2022 and spoke to the manager and it seems like nothing has been done.

The worst customer service ever. A young lady watching the cashier isles was yelling at my gf because she said they shouldn't have gone to self check out lanes in front because they were closed YET the lights were on & it was packed in front lanes so obviously we were going to go where it was empty. This is unacceptable & someone owes her an apology! If the lanes were closed turn off the lights Simple! The manager needs to re train the employees here.

The WORST experience ever!!! Didn't receive my full pick up order and have been calling for over two hours with either no response or being hung up on by an associate ON PURPOSE! I requested to speak to a supervisor and was told they all left at 6pm. Then suddenly someone comes to the phone CLAIMING to be a supervisor but refuses to help or give me her name. Then she too hangs up on me. Last week I had an associate refuse to help me enter a sku for an item without a tag. When I explained that I didn't have my contacts in she said "you can either go get the same item with a tag or. It get it at all. How hard was it to just help?!?'Damn Walmart, I didn't realize you were ok with losing sales!!!! Taking my business elsewhere since the value of a repeat customer is garbage. FYI, can prove I was spending $500 to $700 a month. Byeeee!

I want to personally thank the Pharmacy Department for motivating me to being able to get off of 3 of my medications.Because of their horrific customer service and inept staff, I have been able to make the necessary changes to be able to forgo 3 of my prescriptions. While waiting in my car, I thought to myself, "Is this how I want to live my life?" my answer was a resounding "NO".Curbside pick up is an absolute nightmare at this location. I wait no less than 30 minutes each time for the staff to come out and it's ALWAYS on the days that I am in a time crunch or that I need to be somewhere else, or it is MISERABLY HOT. The staff will literally take their sweet @ss time bringing your prescription out to you. The problem is, instead of putting the pharmacy pick up at the FRONT of the store, it is located away on the side where the other curbside pick up is and the technicians have to WALK a ways to get to you and they absolutely HATE doing this. There is NO way that curbside service should take anywhere NEAR that amount of time. I was so fed up with the service that I made the necessary changes to be able to drop those meds so I don't have to deal with Walmart Pharmacy Curbside ANY more than I have to.I still have 3 meds to go. My goal is to NOT have to have ANY prescriptions that I need to pick up.The service at this pharmacy is absolutely the WORST in Orange County.

I wish I can post my call log on here so people know I'm not lying. I've been calling for an hour made 60 calls to this Walmart and they never picked up. Called the next day 20 more times then they finally picked up, I asked to be transfer to a hiring manager then she had an attitude after I explained how long I've been calling and hung up in my face just like that. I don't even want to work here anymore they made me hate this store with a PASSION, this store needs to get SHUT DOWN ASAP!!!! But of course if they actually cared they would act like it, wish people would come together to close stores like this down!!!

Leadership in this location is sorely lacking It seems that the managers for this location have changed and no longer care about how the store looks, or how they treat their associates. The front end managers are easily the most rude, ineffective people I've encountered.

Terrible customer service. I tried to return some ensure. They said I couldn't return it there because the receipt was faded. Thats how it looked when I bought it. They told me to go back to the store I bought it at. Wouldn't give me store credit either. You lost a loyal customer.

Worst service ever encountered. There were 4-5 people waiting at the locked cabinet. We pushed the service button and waited as instructed. After 10' some people just gave up and left. We waited on the aisle to flag down staff but nobody could help. Eventually a young lady showed up. She seems angry at something and showed attitude. I was able to get my stuff but the experience left a bad taste. Walmart should educate the staff regarding their attitude towards paying customers
