We usually rely on Amazon Pharmacy for all of my son’s prescriptions, but when it came to getting his first Omnipod 5 with the PDM, Amazon wasn’t an option, so we had to head to CVS. A word of advice: avoid the CVS on Redondo Beach and Western. I won’t go into details, but let’s just say it’s not the best experience. It feels like you’re on an assembly line, where the staff seems more accustomed to dealing with people who aren’t in the know, so they treat everyone like they don’t know a thing. They start answering questions before you even finish asking them. However, when my son’s endocrinologist switched all his prescriptions from Amazon to a different CVS, things looked up. This switch was inconvenient because we found things cheaper on Amazon, but the pharmacists at this new CVS were way more understanding about the situation. They even agreed that Amazon might be the better bet for us financially, which I thought was refreshingly honest. Then there was this weekend when we needed our flu shots. My son and I had appointments, but we didn’t book one for my wife, hoping they could fit her in. And they did, thanks to Hannah, the pharmacist. She was fantastic and made it work. My son, Xander, bravely volunteered to go first. I asked Hannah if we could use Xander’s Buzzy to lessen the sting of the shot, and she was cool with it, even though it was new to her. Xander asked for a ‘3-2-1’ countdown, and she obliged. My wife, seeing how well it worked, decided to use the Buzzy for her shot too. Before leaving, I handed Hannah some #SeeTheSigns posters from Beyond Type 1 in English and Spanish, because, you know, always advocating.

Jessica R. Is the most pleasant and efficient staff member that has worked in the pharmacy in years. Do whatever you can to keep her there.

Pharmacist Michelle is the most amazing rock star pharmacist, and human being I have ever met in to many years to count !! Not only is she as fast and expedient as lightning, but her precision is that of a grand pianist!!! She is laser focused on customer service & expedient care !! Michelle not only redials the insurance carriers when she sees an obvious mistake denial of prescription, but to my husband, who mentioned he forgot his wallet she offered to personally pay the small prescription fee and pay her back at another time. Yes my husband did have the money in his pocket. He just left his wallet in the car. I have to ask ask you : who still does that in this day and age ? Who gives such exemplary customer service? The pharmacist Michelle at CVS does every single day !!Michelle never lets the stress of the RX orders that are backed up 10 deep coming in from phone calls, faxes or walk-ins deter her from her standards of excellence !!! Michelle is an asset to CVS pharmacy and michelle is an exemplary example of a pharmacist calling is !!!Michelle we see you !!! And don’t you ever forget that for a second !!! We see you !!!Just 2 of the many many many very satisfied customers that you service with excellence !!!

I got there at a good time, because there was only two people in line in front of me. After I was helped, the line went down the aisle. I also had to purchase something in order to take the medicine I just picked up. The reason why I gave only 4 stars is that there was only 1 employee doing register. If there are 3 or more in line (I was third in line), they should get another person on register.

If only i could give a 0, i would. This location is always busy and they seem to always have no people working. I came in to pick up and waited forever to get help. This one tech named charlotte was not helping at all. She kept saying "be right there" but not really helping.

Cashier was rude when I picked up my prescription. I tried to explain I was missing one prescription and she insisted I was not. When I got home I called to speak to the manager and was on hold for over 15 min.

The employees here are slowwwwww. They have no respect for other people's time. Useless workers who have the personality of a rock. Time to hire better friendlier employees who want to do their job.

Pharmacy phones just ring and ring and take forever to answer also people look not happy to work or be there. Been here when they had their big boss and they right away attend and changed faces but the minute they're gone it goes back to being miserable looking. I'm sure they are some nice staff but the majority are like whatever I'm just here for the lay check sort of thing. I wish it wasn't like that.

If you let these people fill your prescriptions, you should get another RX for insanity. They are bizarrely lazy and fantastically incompetent. I was told that they weren't given any information on how to apply my two topical prescriptions, that they would not call my Doctor, and that it was my responsibility to get the information and relay it to them. I have never encountered a Pharmacist that did not feel that his job included telling patients how to take their medications. In fact, I thought that was his main job. When I picked up my prescriptions, got them home, and looked at them, it was very clear that the Pharmacy was supposed to mix the two prescriptions together. One is a powder, one is a liquid and there are multiple instructions telling the pharmacy to reconstitute the order. It is on several pieces of packaging including a giant paper attached to the entire length of the bag, telling them to reconstitute the order in huge letters. I'm stunned. No wonder they couldn't tell me how to apply it! They barely looked at it!

This review is of the pharmacy only. Before I set off to this website advertised 24 hour pharmacy I had my prescription electronically submitted by hospital personnel. Upon arrival I could see that the pharmacy was closed. I saw a pharmacist behind the counter, made eye contact but she continued to ignore me (for about 10 minutes) and put her head down. I checked for hours, concluded it should be open. Went to the front of the store, found a pleasant and helpful clerk. I shared with the clerk that as I was just discharged from a local hospital that had already electronically sent my prescriptions to this facility, what can I do? She advised me that the pharmacy was closed for a lunch break (3:30 am). I respectfully told her that lunch break should disclosed on the website and at the very least there should be a sign on the counter disclosing same. She agreed but told me she has no control of the pharmacy. I waited another 15 minutes. Pharmacy re-opened and the same pharmacist then helped me while wearing her mask below her nose. This from a company with entrance signs stating no mask, no service. I will not be returning anytime soon.
