I love the service that I am given by everyone at the Gardena branch. Starting with your security officer, tellers, MSR's and the branch manager. They are always courteous and attentive. There is one thing that bothers me. The branch always looks dirty. The floor always is dirty. It smells like old mop water. You need a better cleaning crew. Here are some pictures. LAFCU you can do better.

If I can give it a negative star I would. They say I owe them over 1000.00 based on something regarding "courtesy pay" that they provide. I never approved of it and never wanted it. In their words "we sent the approved form. Since you did not answer the response we started the courtesy pay". So with that said. They allowed transactions to happen when normally they would not. If you're a member watch your accounts. What they did is illegal and non-ethical. Would not recommend them to anyone. There provide a fraudulent service here to gain money. There worse than BofA AND wells Fargo put together. I am seeking attorney at this time.

Awful. They could not verify my identity even though I gave them all the documents they requested. LOL no wonder they have such a tiny customer base.

I was looking into local banks and wondering if this one had better reviews or didn’t have the phone service issues noted in City First/Broadway Federal Bank.. and no this bank seems to have those issues and more(comparing customer service issues generally applicable to the bank as a whole rather than specific bank locations). Of course I would still pick this bank over a larger corporate bank even with the customer convenience issues. Three stars for neutral in lieu of abstaining from star ratings.

Horrible bank. I've never had a good customer service experience with them. They have allowed multiple unauthorized transactions to my account with zero help in resolving it. Do not recommend.

If I could give this credit union a zero I would I’m African American and I never feel welcomed the same manager in corporate office keeps turning down African Americans loans they turned me down like 20 times but when I go to schools first I get a personal loan home and car each and every time don’t go putting your money in this bank if you are BlACK

Man I'll tell you , the bank is cool they do what they supposed to do but they got this new teller that has to be the most hard hard headed grown woman I've ever meet. to be working in customer service, no matter what you ask of her or tell her in what tone or manner she will not do what is requested even if you write it down .. she just has to do what she wants or thinks no matter what , it's really annoying & stressful I dread seeing her when I go in the bank because I always seem to get her. I miss the days when they only had one teller & we had to wait in line for 20mins , sheesh

After +30 years, service has greatly declined. Customer service reps are frustrating and not knowledgeable, simple services like ATM access have not worked for about 6-months with incomplete transaction with their malfunctioning onsite ATM requiring my time consuming attention and hold on my funds and unexplained ATM access holds that require 2-service calls EVERY time I try to use it. I have lost confidence in their security measures.

WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? Their new online bill paying interface makes bill paying (which used to be a breeze) a royal pain. Very easy to write checks to the wrong account. Difficult to edit things; for example if you have to replace a stolen credit card, you cannot just change the number you have to delete the entire payee and reenter all information. An interface that makes everything more difficult. I am thinking of leaving them.

This five star review is ONLY for this location and not for LAFCU in general. I'm upset with their new "rewards" program that is NOT rewarding. That being said, this Gardena location has lots of parking, a Peruvian restaurant, Asian market and McDonald's in the same shopping center. The LAFCU Gardena staff are always extremely friendly. They practice social distancing and enforce the masking policy. Anytime you've an issue, they take the time to call your branch to sort it out. Even the security guard knows you by site and welcomes you with a huge smile. They make banking not extremely awful.

I am very impressed with the sales and service skills Joanna C. Demonstrated while I visited their Gardena Location. I walked in to make a deposit, wasn't expecting anything and Joanna asked if she can assist me with anything else, or a question I might have. This opened a nice conversation and I ended saving thousands of dollars. I am impressed!
