10 months ago I rated this gym as garbage but at a great price. This is a corporation and they suck. The free weight are outdated, the machines are outdated except for the gramma circle of machines when you walk in, Tanning pods? wtf?, a shake machine that you stand on and it vibrates the crap out of you; that gadget came out in the 1920's! They finally fixed the sauna so there's my only positive. The staff could be friendlier but I get it, they work at a gym. My recommendation is to go to Linda Pulido's gym on 3rd and Monterey Rd Linda is a badass and a smoking hot lady as well! or if you're into crossfit Coast Range Crossfit box is next door to Evolution Fitness.

I canceled my membership months ago since I moved yet this place still keeps on charging me EVERY SINGLE MONTH!! I've gone so many times to talk to someone yet they still keep charing me despite this location being closed down! I've already spoken to my bank and they said they've gotten thousands of complaints from customers still being charged by Fitness Evolution. This is not the right way to run a business. My bank said they might have to give me a new checking account number if this place keeps charging me. Unbelievable. There goes $120 that I'll never see again. BEWARE!

fitness Evolution has stepped it up! Now the best gym in town, great squat racks, deadlift area, new Equipment! Employees are great , especially Donnie at the front desk, she is always positive, smiling while greeting guests and makes you feel at home!

Awesome gym! Great price and the Personal training classes are amazing! Miguel and Emily are some of the best trainers I have ever come across in my twenty years of fitness experience! The place is clean and well managed! I would totally recommend this gym!

For the price of $10 a month, it's a great gym, has all the equipment a power lifter would need like bench, squat and deadlift platform. I'm addition they have a pool, sauna and stem room, at least for the men I know.

Update on Review: 11/26- 30 minutes and nobody has shown up to open up the gym. Yet again, late. Always late. So unprofessional this place is. I have been coming to this gym for years. I come 5-6 times a week and I often don't complain because the price is right. I have been able to overlook the broken machines that will be broken for months and even the mold you can find in women's showers. It's absolutely disgusting. I was able to adjust my workout routine time because they got rid of daycare. Still, I would look past it and come wipe down my machines and do my workout. The thing that I have a hard time overlooking is all the days they open late. It's not just here and there..it's more often than it should be. This past weekend they opened late both Saturday and Sunday. Now being that they do not provide daycare, it is important to me that I stick to a strict time to go to the gym but when they do not open on time, that makes it difficult. On top of it, they don't seem to hold anyone accountable or apologetic because it still happens.

I truely do love this gym. But now that iv managed it I can give my opinion. Would I recomend this gym to anyone?,..absolutely not!! I'd like to think of this gym as what it was before. It was clean and people took pride in it. Now that it's under the current ownership. He's cheap and doesn't give 2 fucks about the members. All that matters is the amount of memberships sold. They hired a cheap ass outside janitorial staff that sucks. so nothing ever gets properly cleaned. Billing is always screwed up, I would advise you never trust this company with your info. They have a Very high turnover rate for managers, average 1 every 3 months for not selling enough memberships and are being sued by multiple people including myself. Yet at the end of the day I busted my ass for this company and ran this gym like it was my own just to be let go for not selling enough memberships. So would I recommend you work here? Fuck no! so you can bust your ass for them just to let you go? Like me and the last 2 managers. But I'm also very greatfull I was able to make a positive impact on my staff and the members while the time I was there they will be greatly missed.

Well, I was going to sign up for this gym...had high hopes....I went in to talk about the membership last week, no one was around I walked through the entire gym looking for an employee none to be found. I had to yell at the front desk to get anyone to come out....the young arrogant guy at the desk was cocky and not welcoming. I didn't get a good vib at all so I left. To bad i wanted a family plan....I then decided to read reviews on yelp....wow....I guess I will keep looking for another gym.

The gym is ALWAYS dirty and unsanitary!!! There is never paper towels or cleaning spray. Most of the machines are broken and filled with hair and sweat! I would not recommend this gym. I would rather recommend a public park than this gym.

There is a new batch of pool keys, along with the usual staff turnover. Hopefully patrons won't steal or lose these pool keys and they will last for a while. Now if we could just get Fitness Evolution to put in an adequate pool heater for the winter months - probably would cost less than a couple of the fancy new exercise machines that keep arriving. If only there was a long-term on-site manager with authority to respond to customer input! If only!

If you've had issues getting reimbursed for unauthorized charges or overcharged since Fitness Evolution acquired the gym please message me. I too have been a victim and it has been impossible to resolve the matter. I'd like to discuss what our options are. I've been a gym member for 20yrs (through various owners and managers), but have never experienced such poor customer service. No accountability. Displacing responsibility. No desire to make it right. I made the mistake of agreeing to a few sessions with a personal trainer over a 3-month period. I NEVER signed an agreement, but was charged monthly even after they fired the trainer (who was a no-show half the time). Technically if I didn't sign anything, I didn't authorize the charges. I'm not requesting full reimbursement; just one month! Nevertheless, it's been months and I still haven't heard from the corporate office. Apparently, gym staff doesn't have any authority to make decisions. For those searching for a gym in Gilroy - do your research.
