The library is big and fairly well-equipped.
I'm sure they have their reasons, but opening a huge library at 1pm 4 days a week is shameful. And it was a mistake to combine the outside seating with the obnoxiously loud children's play area. They gave the kids the noisiest materials to play with. I really don't get it. They slam the materials around and it sounds like industrial work.
And they designed the internet in a way that screws everyone on the perimeter. They don't want homeless people using their internet outside, so they restricted the signal to the point where it doesn't even reach the patrons. If you don't want to sit inside and catch COVID over and over, you don't get to use the internet. Massive mistake.
There's a lot to like about any library- especially one as large as this- but they badly failed at some very basic things.

Horrible service from a Mrs. Sara. He attended very poorly and does not respect the Latin Community, I don't know why he has that type of job. I will never go back to that place to process an ID to use the library. Only four people were talking and they weren't helping anyone.

This is a small but beautiful library.
The staff inside are very kind and friendly.
Compared with other places in Gilroy, the surrounding environment

Beautiful 2 story facility. Stairs and elevators. Books, media, periodicals, reference. Children's area and teens, meeting rooms and quiet spots. Large, open building, beautifully taken care of. Very helpful, friendly staff.
