If you love your pets do not take them here!!! Go to Princevalle Vet instead! Way better doctors and WAY more compassionate!!!

Love this place, friendly staff, reasonable pricing, and people care about animals. I take our cat in for various health issues from time to time and board her for our vacations.

We took our dog Lexus in to put her down on October 30th due to her old age.and received her ashes back yesterday November 13th. This review is for the experiences that i went through with Gilroy Vet from the doctor to the whole entire staff for a wonderful experiences that they gave me and my wife. The staff was compassionate. They let me take my time without ever make me feel rushed doing this difficult time. We received a card in the mail with the staff at gilroy Vet signed with everyone messages of condolences. It was very touching for us and greatly appreciated. We have had many dogs and had gone through a few of this experiences but Gilroy Vet have for ever earned our business from here on out and i fully recommend them. And when i received the Ashes back it was well packaged with the box inside a nice bag and a card from the cremation place. Everything was handled compassionately with the upmost professionalism which are rare now a day. Job well done Gilroy Vet.

We have gone to Morgan Hill animal hospital for 15+ years. However, we had a bad experience there and happened upon Gilroy veterinary hospital. They have always been wonderful to my animals, prices are fairly reasonable, and the care that they exhibit is amazing. Jamie is extremely patient and I love the doctors because they do not try to upsell you. I had a cat that I thought had his eye torn out and it turned out to be an embedded fox tail. The doctor took it out and prescribed some medicine and he was healed for under $100. I highly recommend taking your animals to this Veterinarian. Also if you bring in two animals, I think that you get a small discount on the second animals exam. Handy with multiple pets.

After moving to Morgan Hill earlier this year, I was looking for a new vet for my dogs. I decided to try Morgan Hill Animal Hospital based on Yelp reviews and was greatly disappointed with the attention and care my babies received. Someone recommended Gilroy Veterinary Hospital so we gave it a shot. The receptionist was very sweet at check-in. I filled out the new patient paperwork while chatting with a couple of people in the waiting room. We were taken back to the exam room by a lovely vet tech named Brian. He was patient, friendly and gentle with all 3 of my dogs. When Dr. Harrigan came in, he engaged with my pups straight away which put them at ease. He was gentle, warm, and FULLY present during each of their exams. I am confident that my babes will be safe during their upcoming dental cleaning procedures. The young lady who handled payment and scheduling at check out was lovely. As far as pricing goes, this establishment is extremely reasonable. I was paying twice as much for veterinary services in Palo Alto.

I'm so happy that we found this place after moving to MH. We used to live in Evergreen San Jose and take our four-legged furry family members to a vet clinic in Berryessa Rd where you will need to wait longer for your turn even if you had an appointment. The staffs at Gilroy Vet Clinic are very snappy and caring. They actually followed up to check on our dog after he had a surgery. Price is reasonable as compared to where we came from. I'm a happy dog/cat momma!

They were so kind & compassionate to our family in the worst moments we endure as pet guardians. We're incredibly grateful. Thank You.

Been there twice and both times had the best experience. They don't try to push a bunch of extra things on my dog. Was understanding of our situation and helped my old dog. I moved to San Jose recently but will continue to drive there to use their services. Thank you to your team!

Veterinarian Dennis Harrigan killed our Pug due to his blatant incompetence. We had authorized ONE surgery and he decided to perform a second surgery at the same time, most likely to save him time and money. The combined surgeries on our dog's belly side and back side left him in horrible pain, which killed him shortly after bringing him home. We had normally seen Dr. Greg Martinez, who is a great Vet, and was horrified to learn that Harrigan had taken over. If you love your pet, go elsewhere!!!

Top drawer veterinarian! Dr. HARRIGAN has tended to all of my animals: coyote-German Shepard, Turkish Van, and mutt Tabbie (12 plus years each). All have lived long lives thanks to being checked periodically by Dr. H. The nurturing vet staff and staff handling boarding have kept my animals as happy as being at home. Couldn't ask for better vet services! The earlier partners Dr. Throgmorton ? and Ebaugh were great prior vets at GILROY VET HOSPITAL

Really appreciate the staff, they have treated all my pets with love and care. Dr. Harigan is knowledgeable and gentle with my 3 fur kids even with 1 of them being super sassy. Highly recommended.

Amazing Service. I would recommend going to this Vet. They are strict about masks, so if you voted for Trump this might not be the place for you.

My husband and I had to make the difficult decision of putting our dog down and we were so concerned she would have to be alone for the process because of the COVID restrictions. We are so thankful they allowed us in the room with her. Dr. Hoyt was amazing! She explained the process and was so compassionate through the whole thing. The whole staff was compassionate after everything was done and we knew we had made the right decision by taking her there. We've gone there for many years but on that hard day, they made it a little bit easier.

I called in asking if my puppy's symptoms were considered an emergency as I am a new dog owner. Got transferred to the vet, told her what was going on, all she had to say was "are you a client with us?" i said "no, i have an appointment with someone else next week" i was thinking if i DID have to come in, they would help me and i would just switch over to them for the rest of my care... what did the vet say? they weren't taking any new clients. she was ready to hang up without even giving me any reassurance or an ounce of information. i understand if they can't take in new people because of COVID but i would THINK they would care enough about animals to give us at least a tiny bit of guidance. i ended up asking her if it was an emergency or not and all she said was "i can't tell you that." okay thanks a lot. they don't care about animals unless money is involved.
