I was moving out of a 1 bedroom apartment right after my mother passed away. They quoted me an $1800 estimate. Mod Movers requested that I send pictures; I guess to estimate the contents. When the movers arrived, they did not start right away because they said it was much more than they expected and spent almost two hours not packing while talking to the person at the office. Eventually, they sent out another man. Most of my stuff is thrown in boxes not packed. Additionally, they COMPLETELY FORGOT TO DO THE BATHROOM! Also, they won't pack any item from any drawers/spaces that have household chemicals. They did not inform me of that when I first contacted them or at the beginning of the move that they would not pack household cleaning products. They also left their garbage in the apartment. My husband had to go back to box and move the bathroom, three kitchen cabinets, and an outside storage closet. My final cost was $2236, which is almost 25% higher than their estimate. When I requested a partial refund for the bathroom, the office person said they will not refund because they sent out an extra third person, which was NOT at my request. An overall bad experience with Mod Movers. I recommend finding a moving company with experienced movers who know how to communicate and care for your belongings for your moving needs.

The worst experience I've ever had and I've moved 17 times. I'm missing half my belongings . I did not pay for insurance which doesn't mean they can steal my belongings. The workers were only concerned about tips. I honestly didn't have money on me since this was right after my home was destroyed in the January 2023 storm. I promised to tip when my belongings were returned. Instead they decided to go through my belongings and take whatever they wanted . I am missing 40% of my belongings. They even took my dead husbands cashmere sweaters and tea shirts meant for my children. I got a feeling because I'm a widow alone with a Downs child, they felt it was a free for all. I highly recommend finding a more honest mover. I have never written a negative review before but missing so much- they deserve thiis! Gloria

Javier G and Joe P were terrific. They showed up on time and pre-wrapped our furniture muscling some really awkward shaped and heavy pieces up/down stairs while being careful not to damage our stuff. The whole time the guys remained super friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend them and I recommend Mod Movers for the pre-wrapping of furniture before moving it. Few, if any companies, do this anymore! Plus the guys really sought to make sure we were happy & satisfied w/ the move. Moving is stressful, but these guys helped ensure a smooth move and reduced our stress.

We worked with Mod Movers to open two hotel properties in the Carmel area and used them for both their warehousing and installation services.Prior to installation, we coordinated with the warehouse team daily as they received, inspected and cataloged our items.For the installation process, the team showed up every morning with smiles on their faces and a clear set agenda. They were proactive about executing the tasks on hand and went above and beyond to get the job done in a timely manner.The entire team was professional, knowledgeable and passionate.We opened our hotels on-time, on budget, and enjoyed rolling up our sleeves and working closely together with the Mod Movers team to get the job done.

I like this company , I have used them 3 times and the first and last times were great ! Miles is the best mover there. So nice and thoughtful. Fast and all around great service. The office staff was very helpful when I ran into problems with trucks I was trying to reserve from u haul . Appreciate the help. They could offer better discounts on storage when you use them for two or more moves. Corrine and Sarah.

Maybe you're experience would be better than ours. Overall we are somewhat satisfied with the services we received. We hired Mod Movers to move us from one home to another and store our items in between the move, fairly standard services needed. When the items were first picked up the moving crew wasn't fully aware of what I had communicated to the office staff so not all of the items could be picked up to be stored. They did accommodate me and allow me to drop them off to the warehouse which was nice, but it also would've been nice to not make another trip. Then when the items were delivered to the new house the moving crew was smaller than it was supposed to be which increased the amount of time I had to pay for because less workers, about half of our items didn't make it to the house (the moving crew had to go back to the warehouse and find everything else), 2 items weren't brought back in the second trip and had to be brought a few days later, and they broke a floor lamp somewhere between them picking it up, their storage, and them dropping it off. They tried to lie and say the lamp was already broken but I know it wasn't because it was used to stage the house we sold as part of a pair... I'm not sure at this point if I would or wouldn't hire mod movers again.

I called about a week prior to our move and spoke with Stephanie. She helped me review what was needed, and sent over an estimate promptly. The pricing was about what we expected, and we only had to provide a $100 deposit. She also called me the day before to confirm everything, and was very friendly on the phone. One the morning of our move, two guys arrived at the designated time. We had requested three people, and the estimated time for our move was seven hours, but one guy said they were booked for only two hours! We had already moved a lot of boxes ourselves, but I knew they would take more than three hours! I called Stephanie and asked about the situation, and she explained that there had been some confusion because one guy called in sick, and the guy was quoting from different paperwork. She was able to update our quote, and said she would follow up after the move was completed.The guys who came were super nice and very professional! I felt bad that the weather had heated up on our moving day, and made sure to provide the guys with water so they didn't pass out! These guys did an awesome job with everything, and were able to finish within the time that was quoted (even with one less person!) Our realtor had stopped by just as they finished, and we let him know that these guys did such a great job and to be sure to refer Mod Movers to future clients. I highly recommend this moving company!
