“About 80% of our house has hickory flooring so when we wanted to replace our carpet with hardwood, we had to match the hickory. I don't love the contract of hickory so I was looking for a stain to darken the lighter hickory pieces. I came across Birchwood water based stain at SW and my flooring guy picked up a sample in San Jose, put it down on the hickory and I LOVED it. So we moved all the furniture out of the rooms and got ready to finish this long project.

NO problem...until it came time for us to buy 9 quarts of this stain. My flooring guy went to 4 Sherman William stores in San Jose and got 4 different stories of "we don't even carry that stain" to "that is special order and 1-2 weeks" I called up Andrew in our local MH store and he said he didn't have the water base cans to mix the stain, but he actually checked the computer system (what a concept) and Watsonville had them. He placed them on order for me and my flooring guy picked them up, put on the stain and my house will be put back together so soon vs. 1-2 weeks. Andrew is the best and very knowledgeable! Highly recommend the team at the MH store and especially working with Andrew!”
