We rented this apartment about three months ago, and it has been a nightmare from the start. The unit was not cleaned before we moved in the bathroom and oven were dirty, and all the cabinet doors were broken. Management couldn't fix it like it is what it is. Despite being advertised as smoke-free, the place constantly smells like weed and cigarettes. People smoke every couple of hours and start barbecuing every night after 10 PM, filling the air with smoke and strong odors. It’s made us feel sick. The apartment is full of insects, and the neighbors are loud and inconsiderate. I regret ever moving here it's a complete waste of money.
Avoid this place at all costs!

I was there for a job and staff were so helpful I asked where can I park my car and they directed me to guest parking for free. I was there for 3 hours and when I got down to their offic

I’ve been living at Altana for a while now, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best places to live in the area. The building is modern, clean, and beautifully maintained.
Special Shoutout to our amazing security Mike who is always friendly, helpful, and makes us feel safe. He really adds to the good vibes here!

The front desk people are all amazing but the security guard with long hair, looks middle eastern, was as racist and rude towards me, all because I wanted a parking pass. I asked for his name so I can tell management but he walked away as fast as he could. Please get rid of him

Avoid This Place — Not Worth the Stress
I’ve been leasing here for several months and cannot wait for my lease to end. I will absolutely not be renewing, and I feel obligated to warn anyone considering this place: do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
The management is truly awful. They don’t reply to emails, they never answer phone calls, and they certainly don’t return messages. Good luck finding anyone in the office — it's like a ghost town unless you’re a new prospect. During the tour, they’re friendly, helpful, and responsive. But once your lease is signed? That’s the last time you’ll feel acknowledged. From that point on, you’re completely on your own.
On top of that, every single week the fire alarms go off — sometimes at midnight, 2 a.m., or even later. These are not short or quiet incidents; they are loud, jarring, and completely destroy any chance of restful sleep. Management has done absolutely nothing to resolve this recurring issue or even communicate with residents about it.
Living here has been a frustrating, stressful experience. Don’t be fooled by the initial sales pitch. This place is not managed with care or professionalism, and residents are treated as an afterthought.
Fire Alarms went off on 2/26/2025 at 3:40 AM was turned off at 4:10 AM....
Forget about the email address provided... No one ever checks the emails....

I am very satisfied with Altana! Love the apartment, the amenities, the security, and cleanliness of the building. Move in was smooth and Salina was so helpful through out it all. I highly recommend Altana to anyone looking for a lovely, spacious, and safe environment.

Both Ana and Jessica at the main reception were kind and helpful. While we toured with Jessica, she was very patient, and very generous host showing us the premises. Them were one of the main reasons why I have Altana higher on my list of the potential rent places I have seen in Glendale.

Mos terrible Employees in the office , if you’re not someone in this building office, then you can get an apartment with paying the money on the side! They’re using government program approving only people they personally know or getting paid under the table. I’m going to call and complain, housing department, terrible experience, and terrible employee.!

I’m deeply disappointed with Greystar’s handling of my recent lease termination at Altana. Due to a job relocation, I was forced to end my lease early. The apartment was quickly re-rented, which should have minimized any fees, yet I’ve been hit with an excessive four-figure charge.
Even more alarming, Greystar initially sent me a bill in the five-figure range—talk about a heart attack! Only after I reached out in a panic did they admit it was a “mistake.” They provided an itemized statement after the 21-day period required by California law, and that statement was incorrect.
I believe these fees are unfair, and the shockingly high mistaken bill has shattered my confidence in how Greystar handles finances. I’d much prefer to settle this matter amicably, but I’m prepared to pursue my rights—including small claims court—if necessary.
I hope Greystar will address this issue promptly and fairly. If they do, I’ll gladly update this review. As of now, I’m sharing my story so other potential renters know what to expect. Transparency and compliance with state law should be the norm, not the exception.

Just moved in last week and honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. Jessica was by far the best and most helpful leasing agent I have worked with and was awesome from start to finish in helping us get the exact unit we wanted. Would give more than 5 stars if i could

I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to Jessica, who has been my leasing agent since 2022. Throughout our time working together, she has consistently demonstrated professionalism, helpfulness, and outstanding support. Jessica is always willing to assist with any questions or concerns, and she provides clear, accurate information every time. She has a remarkable ability to accommodate different situations and adapt to my specific needs, which has made my experience in this apartment seamless and stress-free.
What truly stands out is her responsiveness—she consistently replies to emails promptly, making it easy to get the answers I need quickly. Jessica is also kind and approachable, always maintaining a positive attitude that makes working with her a pleasure. I truly appreciate all the support she has provided, and I feel fortunate to have her as my leasing agent.

I’ve been living at Altana for almost four months now, and I really enjoy it so far. The apartment is modern, well-maintained, and offers plenty of storage space, a spacious bathroom, and a lovely balcony (we’re lucky to have one with a mountain view!). We had a few issues when we first moved in, but they were resolved very quickly.
The leasing office has been fantastic, especially Jessica! She has been incredibly helpful and responsive, going above and beyond to make our experience at Altana even better. Her professionalism and willingness to assist have truly stood out.
During our time at Altana, we’ve attended a few residential events, which were super fun—like a movie night with popcorn on the rooftop :). The common areas are consistently clean and well-maintained, and I haven’t had any concerns so far. The gym is one of the best we’ve seen compared to other apartments we considered.
Overall, my experience at Altana has been great, and I would definitely recommend it for a comfortable and enjoyable living experience.

I've really enjoyed living at Altana these past few months. The property is always clean, well-kept, and the amenities are great.
What really makes a difference, though, is the staff—especially Jessica. She’s always friendly and makes an effort to remember residents’ names, even months after moving in. Whether it’s answering questions or just making sure everything’s running smoothly, she goes the extra mile to make sure you feel at home.
Altana has been a great place to live, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-managed community.
