My recent experience with Bank of Hope found their services could have improved. The customer service could have been better, and their options are severely limited. I encountered a particular instance where I tried depositing some checks from my friend, who had written "CASH" in the pay to the order field. However, the bank refused to accept the checks because my name was not present on them. They informed me of a waiting period as they contacted the original bank for verification. The inconvenience of this situation was frustrating, especially compared to my experiences with Bank of America, where such check deposits were never an issue. As such, I strongly recommend against banking with the Bank of Hope. There are much better options available in the market!!!

The CSM is unhelpful and rude. All I wanted was to cash my weekly paycheck from my employer who banks with them and they acted suspicious and were downright rude. Also, policies need to be clearly advertised and not hidden in a corner.

This is one of the worst banks you could go to. I know most people that use this bank are Korean folks who are more comfortable using a bank with Korean-speaking employees, but this bank is terrible. Every form of administration they do is by paper. This bank might be the most technologically inept bank in this entire country. There are tiny credit unions have have better functioning websites and mobile apps then theirs. That is more of a knock on the Bank of Hope as a whole, and not this specific branch. I mean look, this is a bank, there's a certain amount of bureaucracy that you're going to have to expect when walking in any bank with the intention of getting anything resolved. But this bank takes weeks to solve any given issue. Your experience is entirely dependent on which employee you get because there is no standard protocol here that they work by. One employee might tell you one thing, then another employee will tell you a completely different thing. Banking sucks, but this bank makes it suck even more.
