Was hoping that when BMO purchases Bank of the West things would get better, but it seems worse. Glendale CA BMO 1 Bank Teller and a very long line up, the Bank's ATM is down. The login authentication is not robust, sometimes it works and sometimes not, the password is stored but is randomly rejected at times and then suddenly starts to work again. Typical BMO Login Error: Error code: AK_DNY - 172.113.44.112 I thought I would give BMO a chance but its not looking good a few months in, seems worse than Bank of the West.

This bank has gone downhill very quickly. Staff is rude. Managers are ruder, female mgr Ajheko is probably the rudest employee there. Take your money elsewhere. These people need to be trained on how to be professionals and treat customers. Completely dissatisfied with the contact of the manager and tellers, they are unprofessional and disrespectful. Their attitude is unbelievable and unacceptable.

They deserve every bad review they get. I was arriving for an appointment I made a couple of days ago with Rita and I was told that I would have to wait at least 45 minutes to an hour to be seen. No apologies, nothing. Wow. I made an appointment for the next day but I ignored it and went to their Little Tokyo branch, which has a much better rating... 4 stars instead of 2. On top of that Rita called me at the end of the day to tell me that I missed the appointment! Ridiculous. She asked me if I wanted to come in the next day, apparently she didn't realize I had rescheduled already. I told her no and she simply said okay thank you and hung up, she didn't even try to reconcile...?♂️

This bank is a joke. I've tried to setup Automatic monthly payments for double the minimum and they don't allow it. You just AP the minimum. I did pay over the phone 2 times with my checking account which they check back the account and route number with you add son as you give it to them, and BOTH times they reversed the payment saying that they couldn't find the given checking account. 15 days after the last payment I received a letter confirming the payment which has not been taken from my checking account. Now I'm been harassed with calls saying my payment is overdue. They had to reimburse the reversal fee they charged for the first reversed payment but now for sure they're going to charge reversal fee again. When I called they kept me in the phone trying to solve the problem for more than 3 hours by clock. I went 3 times to a brunch in Glendale just to be told they have limited access to my info and I have to call again to solve the on going problem being in trying to pay double the minimum! I want a manager with authority to call me and solve this ridiculously situation. Again, this bank is a joke!

Tried opening a checkings account on Saturday or Sunday. Filled out an application and had to wait till Monday to be accepted. Got a call @ 330 to come in to ask a deposit to get my account officially opened, only to be told by an unenthusiastic employee that my account was opened AND shut yesterday. Uhm should have mind the terrible reviews. Terrible experience.

I dropped by this Bank of the West to pull cash from an ATM. I visited around 8 PM on a weekday (April 7, 2022). I'm unsure why there are so many cars parked in their lot and I feel uncomfortable why it is so dark. I didn't feel super safe. The ATM area is lit and I have worked at a bank before. I am aware there are cameras watching the area - but I would have appreciated it if it was lit so i can better see my surroundings. Commenting on the overall Bank of the West Experience: I signed up because they had a bonus on their checking account. Generally, I expect everything to be online these days or be resolved over the phone. I couldn't transfer funds from one bank account to another. The website said I needed to call their customer service phone number. Every time I called, it was over an hour wait. After several attempts, I did get connected to one representative and she said she couldn't help me because her supervisor wasn't working. The messaging service - you have to wait about 5 business days for a response. I'm not sure if there was a labor shortage or they've decided to cut the number of customer support representatives - but it wasn't working for me. I eventually was able to close my account by having my other bank request funds from my Bank of the West Checking Account. You have to get the BOTW checking account under $1000 before sending them a message to close the account online.

Best bank of the west Cindy is awesome so rest of the gang they are always quick and polite best branch so far everyone has a great attitude keep up the good work

Earns the nickname Bank of the Worst. Bounced a check I wrote to a vendor with no explanation, the branch blamed the corporate office, who blamed the local branch. No accountability. This cost us $25 in a canceled check fee from the vendor. Turned out after they dug for weeks, it was because the bank didn't have our signature on file, which they never notified us that they needed. Then noticed a $3 monthly charge for paper statements, which we were never made aware of and never opted in to. Branch staff is so apathetic they literally let a dude straight up vape (obviously maskless) while waiting in line. Am now canceling the account after ~2 months. Wanted to like them and make them our primary bank, but not willing to put up with the relentlessly poor business practices and invonvenience at every turn.

Went to withdraw money from my business account for 15 k they tell me they can only give me 10k. Can you imagine that ? As a business your being told sorry we cant give you the requested amount ? Angry clients missed payments on time for what ? because this cheap bank doesnt even let you withdraw half of the available balance ? anybody with a pulse please dont waste your time on this bank we too are in the process of closing our account.
