In a world increasingly dominated by e-readers and online shopping, Barnes & Noble in the Glendale Americana offers a refreshing escape for bibliophiles. This Barnes & Noble is a sprawling two-story affair, offering plenty of nooks and crannies to curl up with a good book. Lots of comfy armchairs and inviting nooks around the store, perfect for curling up with a good book. It's a haven to lose yourself in a story and disconnect from the digital world. Barnes & Noble offers not just books but also a curated selection of gifts, stationery, and bookish merchandise. It's a great place to find unique presents. And the best thing I love about this store, I watch all the festivities in the Americana from the second floor. It's the best view to see everything that's happening in the courtyard and fountain. However, staffing seemed minimal, making it challenging to find assistance with specific book searches or recommendations.

There's a young female employee here who is incredibly rude. The store currently has 50% hardcover items. There was a table where stacks of one popular book were displayed with a 50% various hardcovers placard right on top. There were no other books on display, just stacks of the same book -so no chance the book was misplaced. The book also had a $3 off sticker on top. 50% + $3 off seemed like too good to be true! I had a hard time locating an employee to verify, so I went to the other levels to ask -not at issue at all. But the lady I asked was so incredulous towards my question. It was super off putting. It was a simple clarification question, and I swear I was trying to be pleasant. But she also doubted the sticker on the cover. I feel like she was trying to accuse me of placing the sticker on top, even though the entire stack of books below also had it? She also didn't seem to believe the sign placement, even after I pointed it out to her from the mezzanine. I just called it a day and returned the book back to the display. Sigh, it's good to take your job seriously, but you don't directly own the books! Seemed like a simple, misplacement a sign. And again, why would I place the sticker on top and then chase down and employee to verify the discount? Bleh! Unpleasant interaction and easy to see why people resort to Amazon for purchases these days.

I loved the place, we visited the entire bookstore, it has everything; We also had coffee at the Starbucks inside and we even met an actor: Josh Hutcherson, very nice and kind

It's a place that I love to go to, I'm there for hours and it doesn't bore me. I really like books and they have many in Spanish.

I'm not a fan of book people but that's no reason to rank the business low ???

Good service. LOTS of books to choose from for a good price too! Just got a book there yesterday. I like how they put the books in their own sections.

It is great that it's still exists, the magazine selection is mostly special issues--apparently there aren't that many monthly magazines anymore. The cafe is one of those "proudly serves", can't take Starbucks gift cards. The place is huge and it seems like it has a well-curated selection of books.

Great service and massive store! I think my issues with this store is that it doesn't give off any book store vibes. It's so so busy that it feels like people are just walking through talking and having conversations. Not the stores fault obviously just a location thing. It was beautiful getting to see the holiday lights from inside the store on the third floor though!

My family was recently in the area and dropped by this location of Barnes & Noble. It was the first time we've ever visited this location. It's a very tall location; the escalators will play a big role here and for us the elevator also because we had our little one in a stroller...my biggest criticism of the location is the small (and slow) elevator. Particularly with many other families visiting (with strollers it was a long wait to move between floors). That said, the store seemed well organized to me...the cafe being in the top floor with lots of customer service people on the various floors to answer questions ( at least during our visit). My oldest spent a long time in the Anime section (first floor) and gave its selection and inventory an approving thumbs up. This location has the look and feel of similar B n N and the fact it was full of people shopping for books made our day!

Fun place to go. I found my books here. They've got games for all ages. Board games and puzzles or Lego kind of games, I mean. Traditional bookshops are becoming less because people shop online. Wish this place stay open till they can't hang on.
