EDIT 3/7/24:Jorge contacted me after reading the review to ask if he could take another look at the receiver and make things right. This wasn't possible since I already took the receiver to another repair shop. Jorge refunded the charges for the repairs he did without being asked. It was kind of him to do that and I appreciate his willingness go the extra mile. I added a star to reflect his customer service.ORIGINAL REVIEW:My experience with Electro Tech and Jorge was baffling. I brought my Marantz receiver in to be repaired for an issue with the phono outputs. Sound was dropping out intermittently from both channels. I dropped the unit off on a Monday and he said it would be ready by the following Friday. I called 2 weeks later and he said it wasn't fixed, but that he'd have it ready in 3 days. This went on for 8 weeks. I'd call, he'd say he just needed a couple more days to fix the problem.When I finally got the unit back 2.5 months later, it had been cleaned, but the issues with the phono connections hadn't been repaired. Sound still drops out on both channels making it impossible to listen to records through the receiver.Jorge is exceedingly pleasant and polite to talk to, so Electro Tech gets 2 stars for customer service.

Sent my unit in to Jorge for a pioneer warranty repair. Before sending it in I asked Jorge how long it would take and he said maybe a week. I recieved my unit back a month and a half later and it still had the same issues... I sent it back in and then it took Jorge almost 3 months to get it back to me. During that time he was allways "almost done fixing it". At one point he even sent me a tracking number saying he was finished and was shipping it that day. A week later i checked the tracking and it still hadnt shipped. I called him and he said he was just double checking the unit and would send it that week. I recieved the unit back a month and a half later and it still had the same issues. He suggested that it was my laptop and I told him again as I did before sending it in that i tested it on 3 different laptops and had the same issue and that i also used an earlier model of the same unit on those same laptops and had no issues. I am 100% convinced that my unit just sat on a shelf in his shop for 3 months and no repair was made at all. Very disappointed in the lack of service and follow through and the lackadaisical attitude. The cherry on top is when he finally did return the unit he didnt include the power cord and then when i asked about it he tried to gass light me and say that i never sent it in with the unit. Then sent it to me in the mail 2 weeks later after pestering him about it.

Jorge knows what he’s doing! I came in with an issue with my DJ pioneer controller, and he knew immediately what the issue was and was able to help troubleshoot. I left with my equipment working new as ever. Thank you, Jorge!

Jorge from Electrotech is the GOAT ?Been coming to him for years to repair my Pioneer DJ equipment (CDJs + DJMs). It's never fun having to get gear fixed but if I do have to get it repaired, there's nowhere else I'd rather go, nor any other technician I trust more.Jorge is most of the most knowledgable + down to earth people you'll ever meet. When there was a missing part and my CDJ wasn't completely fixed first go around, he offered to deliver my CDJ to me direct.Class act - hands one the best you'll find in the area. Quick, professional, above and beyond.

Excellent service! I took my equipment here after getting a ridiculously high quote at George Meyer. Electro tech was almost a 3rd the price and much more knowledgeable about the equipment and how to get it repaired. He got my CDJs and A&H mixer running good as new. Highly recommend!

I don't understand why this shop doesn't have 1000s of reviews given the quality and professional services they provide. I shipped my DJ Controller to them for a warranty repair and it was the best experience. Jorge and his team are true professionals and he is the most knowledgeable technician I have ever worked with. If your still reading this and haven't contacted.... GET TO IT you won't regret it.

I've seen a number of posts here that say, "Jorge is the man." I would like to add to that by saying, "Jorge is the MAN!" I've taken two devices to him that others said were not worth fixing and he got the job done at a reasonable price and the work is stellar. He told me he's the kind of guy who can't relax til the job is done and done right, and that's the kind of person you want working on your electrical gear. If it's electrical and needs fixing you should give him a call. I'll be referring friends to him. Excellent work, communication and service.

I have a Pioneer NXS2 controller which got damaged over the weekend from a spilled drink. I called Jorge this am and he invited me to come in right away. I was pretty eager to get it repaired quickly before my son came home because they are his decks. He empathized with me and stayed later on a holiday to make the repair. We had a great conversation. It's hard these days to find someone so reliable, transparent and great at his craft. I'm very grateful and will be sending other friends there.
