Very bad customer service. I booked a car one day before. The pick-up time is 12:00 p.m. I got there at 12:15 p.m. There were 3 other people there who came to rent a car but only 2 of them besides me got a car. When it was my turn, the same thing happened. An hour later, there was still no one to tell me whether I had a car or not. Because my time was running out, at 1:30 I walked up to the desk and asked, Please help me cancel my car rental reservation because you don't have a car for me. They disagreed and sent me a phone number to call to cancel. according to the rules, I have to pay $50 to cancel, even though it's not my fault. That was the worst day I've ever seen at this car rental place—wasting my time and money unreasonably. It's so unfair.

Worst customer service. I was hoping this location would be better than renting at the airpot, I was mistaken. From the moment I arrived, it was an unpleasant experience. There were people there arriving for their rentals and there were no cars to give them. The woman working there was not welcoming at all, She didn't even acknowledge me until I had to repeatedly ask if they had my reservation (more on her later). She was however having a fairly loud conversation with another customer about purchasing some marijuana which I found very unprofessional. Finally I was greeted by whom I can assume is the manager, a nice taller guy who ended up setting me up with the dealers choice EV. He made up for the unpleasant woman who works there (she's middle aged, has long hair, and acts like she does NOT want to be there). I returned the car a few days early, luckily the gentleman was there to assist me. After I finished with him I was waiting in the office for my Lyft as it was pouring rain. The same unpleasant woman told me rudely that I had to leave as they were closing, meanwhile the office was still full of at least 5-6 other customers, all this after I just paid over $400 for a 2 week rental. That lady (who is written about in other peoples comments) should be fired. I'm going to contact corporate about my experience. This was not OK.

They didn't hold my car for me and didn't seem to want to help find solutions. The woman seemed pleased to turn folks away rather than help.

The Hertz auto rental can’t be trusted, don’t trust this company, the story behind is this:On 01/02/2024 I reserved a cargo van for 01/25/2024 to 02/02/2024 and they ask me, if I pay now the amount online I will get the discounted price and I paid online and hope I will be e a van for 8 days for doing my business, a week before I got a email and and asks for check in and I thought I have to go to that location and do that, I went and the manager of that location told me I can’t tel you if it will be available or not right now, told me to go back 2 or 3 days before the pickup date, I said ok, I went on 01/22/2024 in the morning and he wasn’t there, someone told me leave information and he will. All yo, which he didn’t, I called that location on 3:30 pm and he answered, he told me he not sure he can’t Garantie the availability of the van but he offered me a box truck and I told him I have a parking problem and can’t accept the offer and after my question why they charge me when they can’t provide the car, his answer was let call you back tomorrow morning, I say, on 01/24 he did not call me and I went there to see what happens and he told me he doesn’t know if he can get the car at all, I what should I do, the answer was cancel it, like he doesn’t care that I planed for this and have to use it for needs, so I left and called customer service, after 10-15 minutes someone answered and was talking to that person, I got another call from that location and was that manager and told me if you wait until 2 hours maybe the car will be ready, but it wasn’t and so and so until 4:45pm he told me he can’t provide the vehicle and have to cancel that, when I asked him to send me an email, he say sorry can’t email me to confirm the cancellation, I called again the customer support and they cancelled it and told me you will get your money back 7 to 10 business days, if it is not a money stealing and putting you in such a situation, than what would you call this, from January 03 to February 2024 if I get my money back, they use my money for about 30 days and they don’t care that my time is wasted and all this and even they don’t send you a confirmation email when you ask them to send you.please read and think what would you do.

Been renting from Hertz for years,but never again. Customer service is terrible. Reserved a car 5 weeks in advance and when I arrived,no car available. They tried to get me to take an EV,but that didn't work for my driving distance and time. The only two gas vehicles they had available were large, but they would charge me more for them. I left and went to Avis up the street and got a nice Jeep truck for less than the price of Hertz. Customer service was great too. Get your act together Hertz!

Update - My previous review was for the wrong Hertz. It was meant for the Hertz in Atlanta. This Hertz IS 5 star and provided prompt service and was friendly. My bad.

I bought a new car two weeks ago, and it had to go to the dealers. Across the street there was a hertz rent a car.I had the most amazing experience with a woman that works there named Ryan. She was extremely helpful and made that experience so easy!

Worst rental car location I've encountered. First helped another customer who came in much later than me without a reservation and then proceeded to tell me that they will not accept Mastercard (go figure) - please be warned if you are planning a rental. (I only have this two stars so my review wouldn't look like a fake one - I'd give zero stars if that was possible)

Hertz Rentals has become SO corporate that individual locations have been stripped of ANY customer service capabilities except take your money and rent you a car or take the car back at the return. If a renter has ANY other issue with a rental, they are funneled into a confused maze of phone numbers and people who only appear to exist in order to further the confusion. My opinion (only) is that Hertz has lost a customer permanently!

My recent encounter with Hertz and their car rental circus left me seething with discontent. Opting for a Chevy Cruze for a cross-country jaunt turned out to be a lesson in enduring mediocrity. The vehicle's appearance might have barely passed muster, but the true gem of this debacle was the laughable excuse for a stereo system.Oh, the stereo – a masterclass in dysfunction. Departing from Los Angeles, the stereo begrudgingly offered a semblance of functionality. Yet, as the first day drew to a close, the car's speakers collectively decided to engage in a symphony of silence, punctuated only by the cacophonous chorus of hissing static.Summoning the patience to address this farce, I dared to ask for a smidgen of compensation – a laughable attempt to mend the irreparable. What did I get? A measly $50 voucher, a slap in the face from a company that clearly thrives on treating its patrons like mere inconveniences.If you harbor any desire for a rental experience that doesn't double as an exercise in exasperation, do yourself an immense favor and cast your gaze elsewhere. Hertz has mastered the art of disappointment.
