Our driver was on time for pick up and at time of delivery 1900 miles away in spite of the winter weather. His crew for loading and unloading were very polite, careful (especially with our Heritage Classic Softail) and accommodating. No scratches and nothing broken. Great experience once again, used same moving company in the early 70's when moving west to California.

We moved from California to Florida. After reach, I chose this company to move us because they had good ratings. From the very beginning, everything was smooth and their customer service was excellent. Communication was great! Great company and we highly recommend!

They came in our numbers on the boxes . Didn’t loose or break a thing. Brought in all the boxes and lined them away from the walls. Rolled carpets to avoid stains on the floors and carpets .

This company lost about $2,500 worth of my goods. My items were mixed up with other deliveries and Margie from their insurance carrier denied my claim. It appeared to me this was the easiest thing for her to do, rather then find my items that were lost or stolen I don't know which.

Very disappointed.. moved across country. They were late and lost a piece of our main dining table which we now can't use at all. Not willing to compensate...

Pedro and his teams were courteous, professional and caring. They arrived on time (both in LA and West Virginia for the delivery) and took their time with our items. I would absolutely hire North American again for future moving needs.

All aspects of our move were great. Initial quote at our home, moving day, storage and office staff, move in day crew and driver were all perfect.

Excellent cross country move, from the first contact to the delivery. On time, checked in en route, solicitous and helpful, NOT A SINGLE THING was broken or scratched. Thank you and Kudos to Kim at the LA end and to Harold who got everything here on time in perfect condition!

Booked an appointment to get an estimate. The person never showed up. Was hung up on when I tried to call about their not showing up. Wasted a half hour of my day.

What a nightmare. My first red flag should have been Gust, the appraiser for the move. When I told him I was researching a few other companies for quotes he berated the other companies and said his company was the highest rated and he'd never even heard of some of the others and had been in business for 20 years! Although they provided the highest estimate (International Van Lines quoted me $2k less) I thought 'you get what you pay for' so decided to go with North American Van Lines and their partner, Nelson Moving. The packing crew was great and asked questions regarding packing that made us feel good about our decision. Due the size of neighborhood, a small transit truck was loaded then driven locally to be transferred to another truck. This was July 1. For some reason they then packed our belongings on a truck that wasn't registered with the DMV, or so they said. We saw our move was in transit July 6. We contacted North American and Nelson to get an update the following week so we could be sure to be home. They informed us they couldn't reach the driver (Ricardo). For FOUR DAYS. I was worried the truck was hijacked at this point but now realize the company was just stalling. Once I called and emailed for the 6th time they finally told me our items had not even left the packing destination (15 days later) because the truck they put it on had no registration. Comical and confusing since their website said "in transit" and to me that means the truck is on the move, not still sitting at the packing destination. Why on earth would you pack a truck that can't transit!? Three weeks later we still had no items in our new home. Obviously we would have pushed our pack date had they told us they couldn't actually move us yet. If our stuff was just going to sit on a truck it might as well sat in our home and been packed later. A representative from the company said our belongings would have to be moved yet again to another rental truck to transit. Anyone who has moved knows the wear and tear on furniture is significant the more moves it makes. When the truck showed up it was the North American Van Lines truck that clearly wasn't the new, unregistered truck, so I'm not sure what the problems really were. The driver called after he was on the road to ask for our street address on two separate days which was another example of their disorganization. He also told me he was in a different state, farther away, than the online tracker showed his truck at just two days before his arrival. The pic shows their website claims 2-5 days for cross country moves but don't be fooled by this. The movers told us 10-15 days which was understandable. The estimate said the first day of delivery could be July 10. Our truck didn't leave packing destination till July 16. Either way it took 23 days to get our stuff across the states. This isn't my first cross country move so I know that time frame is totally ridiculous and the company is not upfront. You DO NOT get what you pay for (which was almost $11,000 for a ONE BEDROOM HOME) with this absurd operation.

Used North American Van Lines (Allied) for a coast to coast move from Los Angeles to Florida. When they picked up my property, I asked if everything stayed in the same truck. I had also asked the same question to the person who came out to my house when the quote was given. Both said yes. Almost three weeks later, the truck arrived. Everything was in the complete opposite side of the truck from when they picked up. I asked the new driver if this was the same truck that my property was picked up in. He said no and didn't know how many times my stuff was moved from one truck to another. That being said, when unloading, I noticed damage to my son's desk top. It was brand new since he had to attend school from home due to the pandemic. It was noted and they said we would be reimbursed since I paid for the best insurance they offered. Several weeks later they send us a check for $66.00 lol.... The desk was about $250.00. They lost hardware for chairs that were taken apart, my daughter's bed was put together backwards, my son's bed was also put back together incorrectly, my son's computer monitor was broken and my daughter's class ring was missing. Beware of this company. I definitely will never use them again or would recommend them.
