Had an appointment for passport at 12. Standing in line with no directions or receptionist. 12:20, my appointment is over and still no one has come outSomeone left the office, so I went inside to be rudely told by a worker to "wait outside until I call you". My appt was 12-12:15! It's 12:20! Horrible office. Why make an appt if you're going to waste people's time

I made an appointment and showed up 30 minutes early. I did the following and my passport processing went smooth. post office to look around for signage for any information in regards to applying for the application and took pictures of all the information and instructions. They have posted in the area I went home and reviewed that information, if you don’t have if you can’t go send someone take pictures for you2. I download the application, but made sure in the right hand corner of the application the expiration date had not passed. Use an updated application.3. I filled out the application, attached attached, my required documents, (marriage certificate, passport- which wasn’t expired, I just needed to change my name on my passport and my passport card. )4. At my appointment, I told the Shereise, that I was there to have her review my application, so that I can submit it for a name change she checked it told me that I had everything, correct.5. I wanted my application for passport an card expedited, to do so you have to pay $220 + $19.53 for expediting and you will also need to write “EXPEDITE” on the outside of your envelope, as stated in the instructions. So I wrote it on my envelope that my documents were in as well on the outside of my priority, mail express envelope all over several times.6. I got to the post office five minutes before it opened and I met Chi, the clerk at the window. She was awesome. She was thorough. She even looked to make sure I had everything I needed for my envelope according to the fees that I was paying, walk me through the process took all of 5 to 10 minutes the extra minutes because I have write the following on the money: U.S. Department of State, my name, and my birthdate. I gave everything back to Chi and she checked it. $2.00 fee7. Expedite you application Priority Mail Express Send to National Passport Processing Center. PO Box 90955, Philadelphia PA 19190-0955 .$28.75 FeeI will keep you posted on the timing of receiving my passport and card. I hope this information helps make your passport process to change your name easy.To do it today is September 4, 2023 I wanted to give an update on my passport. I received my passport in the mail by priority mail express on September 2nd showing ship date of August 29, 2023. I think my four week expectation has been exceptionally good. Good luck to everyone else on their passport journey.

I've gone to many different postal services in Los Angeles county and this is the best one I've gone through so far. Unlike other postal services (such as the one in FairFax, Washington blvd and Rosemead), the service won't put you down, scoff at you or treat you like a little kid. They also have better customer service skills without much of the PMS and morning tantrums and if the line is very long, an assistant will come out to assist you in order to make the line move faster. Seriously it's tough to find a perfect postal services. But I will say this one is the one I'm satisfied with and prefer to go for my shipping, mailing and passport renewal inquiries.

This review is for passport services only.Scheduled an online appointment for 12:15pm. First available appointment was about 2 weeks from the date I scheduled.Found free street parking on one side of the post office. There were also metered parking spots around the building. Parking was not an issue.Arrived at noon and was the only person in line where a sign said to wait for passport services. Was allowed inside the office at about 12:20-12:25 and was done with the entire process for two passports in 15 minutes or so. Very smooth experience. Once inside the large office there is plenty of comfortable seating. The employee that processed our paperwork was fast and efficient. Was told the passports would be processed within 15 weeks or so.I recommend this post office for processing a passport application.

Walk-in tickets for the passports are handed out from 8 to 9am on walk-in days. After that, no walk-ins will be allowed to be seen. Getting a ticket doesn't guarantee that you get seen either. Wait times is 2-4 hrs and walk-ins get called after appointments are called first. Got here at 7:30. Didn't finish until 11:30. Highly highly highly recommend the appointment route.

Avoid for passport services. My family applied for passport renewals and these guys screwed up one of the applications. It was an administrative oversight. We had waited months for the appointment and had to cancel our family trip. If this happens to you, realize there is nothing you can do other than reschedule another appointment months later. There is no possibility of escalation and no accountability whatsoever. If your travel plans are important I would recommend going with another post office.

I came to this location to get FBI fingerprinting done. I was told I can walk-in to do it anytime at the passport department. Well, there is a locked door and I just had to wait outside it (with some other people who were there for passports) until an employee came out to let us in. I was standing there for 25 minutes just waiting for someone to come out. Once I got into the next room, I waited about 10 more minutes and then finally got them done. The good thing was that I got the results in a matter of minutes! Oh and there is no parking lot that I'm aware of so just street parking- be careful if you park by a meter because you don't know how long you'll be waiting.

This review is for their passport department. I made an appointment for a Saturday and was actually able to be seen 30 mins before my time. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I was done with 1 adult and 3 kid's applications, with photos, in 30mins. They take photos there for an additional fee. The only people that were unhappy in line were the ones that did not have all their documents and had to leave and come back. Having everything printed and photocopied before you go definitely shortens your wait time. Also, this building is just beautiful.

I have my appointment for my passport at 10.45am, it's 11.44am and I'm still here. There's not respect for people and their time. The supervisor came out only once to tell us they'll be calling us soon. Nothing yet.

I rate this above most post offices for two reasons:1. It's open much later than other branches. It's not super close to me, but it's open until 6:00pm so I occasionally end up here when I couldn't get out of the office in time to hit my local branch before 5:00pm2. It's a beautiful historic building. There are frequently long lines here (but they usually move fairly well) but at least you feel like you're in the 1940's!It's still USPS, so take that as 4 stars FOR A POST OFFICE.
