Honestly I usually get great customer service from this place. They're usually no hassle and have been flexible with me about pricing and returns and things. And generally I feel like they've bent over backwards to be generous and helpful l1 less star for a singular negative experience: wouldn't recommend getting anything "assembled for you" and brought curbside though, they tried to offer me a weathered dented bbq and pretend they had no other stock. Thank goodness for actual good customer service inside and the magic of the internet telling me they had 45 in stock... it all worked out in the end after many hoops to jump through but with the return, price correction, retrieving it from an upper pallet boxed... it added 60min to the whole process kudos to the forklift driving lady, customer service and one of the in store guys who I flagged down to help 3 out of 4 of you were still exceptional.

I hate coming here and only do it as either a seriously desperate last resort or for the garden dept because of their return policy about taking back plants that have died up to a year later. I usually go to Miner's off of Fairview since they have much better customer service. Recently, I went to the Home Depot Garden Dept in the early am to get a few plants and some dirt. Walking in, I passed a young, heavyset, dark-haired girl sitting at checkout who was on her phone that didn't bother to look up and say good morning. I needed help with some things I was shopping for, but no one was around except for her, and she looked like she wanted to watch Tik Tok instead of work, so I just made a best guess on what I wanted to buy. After 20 minutes of being there, I checked out, and she was STILL on her phone, sitting on a stool at the checkout counter. I walked within 2 feet of her coming in and exiting Home Depot. Not once did she acknowledge my presence with a smile, good morning, or how can I help you?Hire people who actually care about the customers and not someone who would rather collect a paycheck to be on social media at work. I'm not shocked as I never get good customer service at this place.

Dane from paint was super duper helpful. He was very knowledgeable about the paint. Adjusted with information and how many rooms would get covered with the different amounts. Dane told us about the different brands. The carpet guy Juan was also very super helpful. He educated us about all the options and benefits s d details on the warranty.

HOME TOWN GO-TO: As Home Depot's go, this one is slightly better than average. However, I generally find that they have enough wandering associates nearby to ask questions when in need, which is always helpful. The store is clean, organized and has a great selection overall. The plant and gardening section has some very healthy, diverse plants, and gardening essentials, which always inspires me. They have a customer service kiosk up front for speedy returns, if needed. I wish they had more customer service agents who actually assisted with full checkout, as they have mainly self-check stations. I always prefer the one-on-one TLC of an actual person assisting me with checkout (versus self-check), and feel that supports human jobs in-general. I also wish their customer service agents in the "return" section were a little more jovial and customer-focused, as I have had more than one occasion where they seemed a bit abrupt. I do find that the general (wandering) associates are mostly kind, knowledgeable and attentive. There is plenty of space in the shopping aisles and this location has abundant, up-front parking, as well as a loading dock for large purchases.

Just spent 45 minutes trying to buy trash bags and a Mop. Their checkout system is so antiquated they only accept checks and credit cards (when their machines are working)! I have Apple Pay and my credit card info but they aren't allowed to enter cc numbers. I had to order on-line - while in store - which took another 25 minutes. Then I had to wait for order to process. I will hopefully never have to shop there again.

I was on a valiant quest for paint sample colors. Luckily Home Depot will mix any color you ask for, or bring in a sample of, and process it in small jars to test the paint/color/thickness etc. before buying larger cans. I was in search of both a coral and aquamarine color which I readily found on their epic wall of paint sample hues. The gallant gentleman in the paint department could not be more helpful! He brainstormed with me about the best gloss varnish to purchase as well for both my medium and base material. I went to check out but was promptly distracted by a display of an array of gorgeous rare succulents, which now have a permanent home on my windowsill! All in all, a triumphant shopping experience.

People are incredibly rude and will not help you. They have all of the aisles closed for no reason whatsoever in the middle of the day. Power trip.

Santa Barbara, CA 883 10/19/2022 Several weeks ago I went to Home Depot Goleta and bought a dishwasher. I paid to have it delivered, and installed. I also paid for a kit of hoses and other parts needed to install it. The dishwasher was delivered last week without the hoses and other parts required to install it. The technicians returned a week later on 10-19-23 to finish installing the dishwasher. They had some of the parts but not all the parts so they still couldn't install the dishwasher. Supposedly they are researching the problem but I can't get a firm date as to when they can install the machine. After two failed installs I am pretty fed up with Home Depot. I have paid for the machine, the installation kit, delivery and setup but my dishwasher sits in the garage useless. I also paid for an extended warranty. I hope that if I ever need warranty service, that what is going on now isn't typical of what I can expect.

WOREST CUSTOMER SERVICE! Tried to get help in the electrical department. Was told someone sent to help. Nobody ever showed. Asked again and was told they are on lunch. Manage Jenny was no help either. Walk out of store and went to SANTA BARBARA HOME IMPROVEMENT CENTER. I was helped immediately by a knowledgeable and friendly person and got a better price than Home Depot.

Home Depot does not have an online customer service request or comment page. you must phone the number given on the website. I wanted to purchase an item online to pick up in store. You also cannot make an online purchase without creating an account which is maddening. I have an account and forgot my password. I requested a password change which was supposed to be sent to my email address. that option never came through to my email. when I called the local store I had to wait and decided it was just too much trouble with all of the obstacles. I went to Amazon instead and located the item (for exactly half the price Home Depot is selling it for, and places my order. it will be at my mailbox on Monday. so there Home Depot. you lost at least one sale and probably a lot more.

Visited this store today. The manager standing guard at the self checkout was rude and completely unhelpful. I explained that my husband had been approved for the military discount. She told me he had to be with me, to honor the discount. I explained Lowes verifies information with phone number and ID. She told me no. Explained I needed his code. I was visiting from out of town moving in daughter for college, my husband wasn't with me. She basically told me too bad and next time have husband and code with me and told lady helping at self checkout not to give me the discount.

I don't do much home renovation because I rent and don't want to be the reason why my rent gets raised, but I'll always love The Home Depot. My dad owned a construction company so whenever he would need something would give me the company credit card and say I could buy whatever I want. I'd always buy a two by four. A six by six, if I'm feeling lucky. Come to think of it I should've bought power tools. Nonetheless it didn't throw a wrench in my plans. Slowly I accumulated enough wood to build a treehouse in my neighbors yard. I spent hours and hours listening to The Doors, Tool, The Sawdust Album by The Killers and an audio book on how to be a guy in ten days. Decades later I work for a construction company as an part time accountant, but anytime it's a change of season I find myself hypnotized by the orange logo yearning for that new stove to cook my TV Dinner in. With all the negative reviews this may fall by the wayside. However, this is the only Home Depot in the area, so it's the best Home Depot. Thanks for the self checkout!

I went there to get 2 things, a wide putty knife to help me cut in on a pending painting project, and a 2 foot by 2 foot garden border that was listed on the website as "2 in stock". Not only did HD have neither, but spectacularly so. There were only 1 size (unworkably large) putty knife on the array of 12 wall prongs for putty knives. The HD website stated the garden border was listed as 2 in stock both 90 minutes before I arrived at the store and 24 hours before. When I called to check on this, I was told that the website quantities are "not up to date". By listing them, the HD is indeed implying that they are there, and wasting customer time at $6/gallon making us drive to the store. This smells like bait and switch.
