Okay, lets start with a breakdown of the review. Its really a 3.5 but I felt giving it 3 would be unfairly weighted in the downward direction. 5 stars for the price, $10 a month is absolutely unbeatable. 4 stars for the facility. Its clean there are a lot of machines, especially cardio and the place still looks fairly new and so do the machines. The locker-room (mens at least) is still in nice condition but is a bit short on toilets. And I only say this because the whole, locker-room, shower, toilet facility is Continuously in use in the AM. Why? well it took me a few months to figure this one out but the super low price apparently makes it really attractive to anyone who only wants to use the shower/toilet/sink facilities. I've been in the gym there for 90+ minutes and gone into the locker-room to see it full of folks I didn't seen in the gym but who are showering, shaving and dressing. So back to the gym, its great with a huge main machine and dumbell workout area as well dozens and dozens of cardio machines. There's a stretch and gravity work out area, special area with Smith machines and a semi-separate circuit training area as well. I like the ethos here with their "Judgement Free Zone" slogan, and they have a lot of catchy, inclusive sayings printed big on the walls pushing back on the stereotypical gym culture. One of them mentions that they disprove of "slamming weights", "grunting loudly", "wearing bodybuilding t-shirts" and "carrying around gallon jugs of water". Sadly though, many of these things sill happen there with no consequence. In fact, though the staff are friendly and keep the place quite clean, there seems to be no enforcement of any rules whatsoever. People regularly camp on machines, don't honor the circuit training policy (its written on the wall in that room), and use their phones continuously all unabated. SOme folks go as far as to set up their own "mini-gyms" with dumbells, kettlebells, fixed barbells etc drug from all over the facility so they never have to move! Part of the problem is (sorry kids) is that they let HS kids in for free during the summer. Don't mean to be that "get off my lawn guy" but I left a great facility at nearby UCSB for the exact 3 reasons I just listed here. Overall PF is a good facility, with a little policy enforcement it could be fantastic.

Either actually make it 24 hours a day, five days a week or stop advertising 24/5. 5am Monday to 9pm Friday is 24 three.

Planet Fitness truly lives up to its reputation as a judgment-free zone! From the moment I signed up, I felt welcomed, supported, and motivated. The facility is always clean, the equipment is well-maintained, and there are plenty of machines and weights available, even during peak hours. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful -- they greet you with a smile and are always ready to assist. I especially appreciate the 24/7 access, which gives me the flexibility to work out on my own schedule.The atmosphere is relaxed, positive, and non-intimidating -- perfect for beginners and experienced gym-goers alike. I also love the variety of workout zones, stretching areas, and the hydromassage chairs that make recovery a treat. If you're looking for a fitness center that's affordable, clean, friendly, and empowering -- Planet Fitness is the place to be. I've never felt better! Thank you, Planet Fitness, for making fitness fun and accessible!

I use planet fitness to shower at and I was nervous based on other reviews but the showers seem to have improved quite a bit in the last few months. Water was hot and stayed hot! Showers were also clean and nice changing rooms. The shower head could have been better but I'll take it! I would come back for sure

Most planet fitness are kept clean. This one the machines and workout areas were just fine, but the showers were absolutely disgusting. Everyone had Band-Aids and garbage in the shower, on the floor. Worst one I've ever seen. They should be cleaning the showers every hour.

Great gym but the handicapped showers for women suck. The hand held nozzle sprays all over the place instead of coming out of the actual shower head and if you're like me and wheelchair bound, standing up under the side that has a standard shower head is entirely unsafe. The water pressure is less than being spit on about once every five minutes and why isn't there a locking door on the handicap shower, but locking doors on all the other showers!? A curtain is swell if you have limited hand/arm mobility, but there should be a second layer of an actual locking door for those of us that do have upper body mobility. The staff at the front door are very friendly when checking in and the guests are full of smiles and ready to help. Please upgrade the broken hand held shower head in the women's bathroom and put a way to lock the stall.

I use planet fitness locations to workout and shower while I travel. This location never has hot water in the showers and there's also clumps of hair on the walls. Disappointing because this is the only location in this area. Just wanted to write a review to warn people looking for a warm shower!

Great place to workout always super clean and very good communication if something is under maintenance. Matt upfront is super friendly and helpful. I’ve been a regular for like a year and his happy attitude always makes me come back ??

I would give 0 stars bc I was in the shower and the cleaning guy came then would not leave while I was changing it was so inappropriate! What a lack of privacy! He could clean it any other time. Also why would he willingly walk in seeing a girl in the shower is in anyway??!!! Will NEVER go back. I feel taken advantage of. He should be fired now
