My review is nothing to do with the Island Pacific market but the Phil's House inside the market. We live closer to the Canoga Park branch but wanted to try this new location in Granada Hills. After grocery shopping we got some food from Phil's House--we tried their sisig, bopiz and dinuguan and they were delicious. So for Christmas Eve instead of cooking , we decided to order one of their party packages. It came with Pancit Bihon, Beef Caldereta and Chicken Adobo. Everything looked good when we picked them up. Here's my comment for each dish: 1. Pancit Bihon- it looks good from outside but when you taste it , it was dry and no flavor--it only had noodles and no meat or veggies inside ..the only veggies that came with it was the toppings. None of my guest liked it. 2. Chicken Adobo - it smelled like it wasn't cooked yet and none of my guest wanted to take it home or eat it.3. Beef Caldereta- it was so soupy and does not taste like Caldereta. Seems like they just added additional meat on top. Such a waste!! I'm glad I ordered some other food from other places and those were the only food that everyone enjoyed. For sure, we're not going to order party packages again from this location unless it's just the combo meals. It seems like their party packages were just rushed and not well prepared!!

I drove across town to get garlic peanuts, it said they closed at 9.I guess the garlic peanuts are technically from the resturaunt inside that closes earlier than that. I stood there and grabbed peanuts and looked around and they just looked at me like I was dumb. I stood at the register and they told me that they were closed and I couldn't by them at the front. I understand that they are two seperate entities but definitely sucks. Won't be back.

This new Island Pacific in Granada Hills has definitely garnered a lot of attention in the neighborhood. Other than it being new, there's better food options and food stalls compared to the island pacific on De Soto and Roscoe. We got really good deals here for their meats and seafood. The bakery inside is also my fave spot to get pan de sal and Buko pie! The parking can get crowded but there are plenty of spots. It's shared among other businesses like Trader Joe's.

Store was packed and it's got to be my third time there. I didn't care for the food last time I went there but to each his own.The store was fully stacked from the bottom of the shelf's to the top. It was well organized and had plenty of items to chose from. I bought some ice cream, crackers, cookies, and candy: yes I swear I'm on a diet lol. I like to have random food items in my house. 12/17/23 I'll return soon. I wish they had this drink made by Dydo with a peach flavor. If anyone knows where I can find it in the SFV please let me know. I want to surprise a co worker who enjoyed this drink when she was traveling. Yes it might get me brownie points (maybe she'll laugh if she ever finds this review) and I'd like to try it too.

The Sans Rival cake we ordered for Thanksgiving was absolutely magnificent. It's a seemingly simple dish but after reading the recipe, it's very labor intensive so it was great to have your professional bakers make it for me. Everyone raved about it and it was fun for this old white guy to tell a bunch of non-Filipinos about the history of this delicious concoction

Yes! We finally have a Filipino market close by. Plenty of parking spaces. Organized and well stocked at a reasonable price. Grabbed mainly veggies and ingredients to make lumpia and they had everything I was looking for. Good to know that there is a Max's inside the market as well as a mini food court where you can buy Filipino food to go or enjoy there. Staff are friendly. Welcome to the neighborhood Island Pacific! I will definitely be back.

Pork Barbeque is disappointing and meat was tough, same with the meat on their Caldereta. The cook at their Sta. Clarita branch does a better job.

One of the newly opened Filipino grocery stores in the Valley with a huge parking lot although it get pretty crowded. Has lots of options produce, fresh fish/seafood, meats along with your typical Filipino grocery options. They also have Max's chicken, Crab place, a bakery with pandesal (baked bread rolls), precooked Filipino dishes where you can see and choose what you like (turo turo).

1st time here, went to get food at the PhilHouse. the food was good to look at. i ordered kare kare, papaitan, pakbet and tilapia na may sauce. everything looks great until i ate it.pakbet was lots of eggplant, crushed squash, 1 thick slices of bitter gourd (ampalaya) and looooots of okra.the kare kare was a bummer too! the meat on top looks good (about 2 pieces of it) and then when you dig in on the bottom of the container, the beef part was the yucky part. i mean, the meat mataba na malitid na dikit na dikit ung kakaunting laman. in short, something that shouldn't be served on a meal that you are paying for.the papaitan - okay, that was good. but i hope they cut the tripe a bit more bite size next time.the fish (tilapia with black sauce) - i thought it was fried so i ordered it. the fish was really fishy (malansa) so i should have not ordered it.over all, i will go eat here again (only because it is the closest to our place)

Never met a cashier who tells a customer what to do with her goods and her preference how she wanted my things to be bagged... .other than that, I go hear for the products.10-07-2023 6pm not very pleasant.

Came back here again with my family, curious to try out the Filipino-famous Max's Fried Chicken joint inside of the food court. We wanted to know if the food portions and taste here would taste similar to the branch in Glendale we grew up eating at.So far, our verdict says YES!!The chicken had the wonderful soft crunch of flavor we knew and love and the lechon kawali was deliciously fried! According to my mom, the kare-kare was great! (Can't eat due to my peanut allergy)The joint serves all their orders in to-go format and they also do catering. So for anyone curious, the good news is that:- price is the same as Max's restaurants and same portion size- taste is exactly the same- consistent with the standards of Max's- great to go to if you ever crave the taste of Max's!

I am so glad to a location in Granada Hills. I always enjoy shopping here with my wife as they have fresh fish as well as other fresh items. The availability of a varity of items for Asian cooking is on point and will not leave you disappointed. They also have Taho which is one of our favorites and a must have if you go to this location. The staff is great and is always helpful. Parking is in their lot.

Bought oyster mushrooms the morning of Labor Day and began making a dish for that lunch. The mushrooms smell sour and there is no date on the package on when it was packed or Best Buy. It was a 2 hour window. I called and they hung up on me after I said hello. This is disappointing as I deliberately didn't buy mushrooms from Trader Joe's next door because I've been anticipating to visit this new market.
