I highly recommend this place. I initially took My Dog Gemma ( 3yrs) to Redlands Emergency Vet Hospital, where they claimed Gemma was poisoned.I brought Gemma here for a second opinion, and these Docs did their due diligence, ran all necessary tests, spoke to poison control, and found the culprit. Turns out my Gemma had a tumor that was bleeding out. Unfortunately, there was nothing I could do other than to make her comfortable at home until the Uthanesia specialist arrived. I'm glad I got a second opinion before blowing another 6k at Redlands. This team was nice , hospitable. And friendly. They made me feel like they cared. Dr. Rios was amazing ! Thanks again for all your hard work & helping me figure out what was wrong with Gemma.

I will never use this facility again. My impression of Animal Emergency Clinic is that they try to bleed as much money from you as they can, make you wait without checking on you or letting you know why there is a delay, and punitively make you wait if you refuse to follow their expensive recommendations. We brought our 12-year old dog to this ER at about 8:30 Saturday night as we weren't sure what was wrong with her and were afraid to wait until the appointment we had already scheduled with our regular vet for Monday. We waited in a cold room with hard chairs for two hours even though we were told only one animal was ahead of us. I went to the car to get a blanket for my dog to lay on. I finally asked why it was taking so long and was told "an emergency came in and one of the doctors was in surgery." (I guess the other doctor was taking a really long time with the dog ahead of us?) Shortly after, Dr. Hilvy Cheung came in and attended to us. We asked for her recommendations with costs in order to make a decision on treatment as our dog is at the end of her expected life span. Based on the options, we decided xrays would be the least invasive and most informative option. So they took our dog back for xrays. Over an hour later, we still did not have our dog back, so I asked the front desk what was taking so long. Shortly after, the Dr came in with a syringe of fluid she had extracted and said she recommended that she remove as much fluid as she could, sedate the dog, and keep her overnight for observation (it cost $75 for that one syringe extraction, btw). We said no, we would take our dog home and decide what we wanted to do. Dr Cheung threatened us that we would have to sign an AMA form for them to release her against their medical advice and that she would be calling the city to do a welfare check on our dog... because we were not willing to leave our dog and pay over a thousand dollars for a temporary treatment, or let her put our dog down right then??? I WILL credit Dr Cheung with a thorough and accurate evaluation of our dog's condition, though, even though her approach to us was offensive and accusatory. I told her that I would sign the papers and never use their facility again. We waited another 25 minutes for her to bring the form to sign, and I finally went to the front desk AGAIN to have one of the assistants pull it up on her Ipad. While at the desk, I watched them trying to guilt another client to pay $65 for a 24hr pain shot for their dog even though they already had a bottle of pain meds in hand for him. We finally got our dog back at 12:30 am. She walked out, jumped in the truck and we took her home. There was no way I would leave her alone or put her down in that place with those uncaring strangers (and an incessently yapping dog for a roomate)!! I resent the implication that we didn't have the best interest of our dog in mind, especially when we spent 4 hours on a Saturday night and over $400 trying to find out what was wrong and get a prognosis! Sure enough, the dog equivalent of CPA showed up on Monday morning... our dog barked and had to be held back at the door as the very kind evaluator admitted that the dog was alert and not showing distress. [Unfortunately, we made the difficult decision to put her down later that morning at our scheduled appointment with the very caring Dr. Nicole Bogh at the 4.2-Star (I'd give it 5) rated VCA Northside Animal Hospital in SB as her prognosis was confirmed bleak and there was no cure. Our sweet pup kissed all of the workers there who had all petted her and given her treats before her passing.]

I had a great experience on a what was already a horrible Christmas Eve. My fur baby was attacked and needed emergency medical care. I'm glad I came to Animal Emergency Clinic. Everyone was really nice from the receptionist to the nurse. Dr. Carter was extremely nice and handled my fur baby with care. I definitely recommend! Thank you everyone!

Beware going to this Animal Emergency clinic! They charge a $130 fee just to use their services. I took my dog there today to be put asleep. When I got home I looked at my invoice and saw a Consult Emergency charge for $130. I did not have an office visit and saw no veterinarian. Also had them do the cremation. Called them and they said it was fee to use their services and pay for the techs, doctors medical equipment. Find a different place they prey on you emotional trauma when you have a pet emergency!

I want to start by saying yes the wait is long but from what I seen there were really hurt dogs who needed to go first so we didn't mind. The ladies at the front were so very friendly, they took great care of my baby. The prices here are amazing I wish they were a full time vet not just an emergency one because my babies would go here!

Unfortunately our pup had another allergic reaction and had to be rushed in. Again the staff was amazing and assisted right away. The bill was less then expected and treatment was quick and effective. I'm so grateful to this place!

I want to thank the staff with all of my heart. Sparrow, my beloved Boston Terrier was shivering and panting so I opted to take her to the emergency, Yes we waited but that is due to the very ill dogs that needed emergency medical care. The staff brought my dog a blanket, were kind and upfront, and the veterinarian diagnosed her problem quickly. I thought the price for the emergency care was reasonable. I will always bring my loved fur ones here in an emergency at night. Sparrow had a deep earache and is recuperating. Thank you so much for caring for our loved ones with care and compassion!

I highly recommend this facility for your pets Emergencies. Friendly Front office. Prices are reasonable. Regardless of the time I waited, I have to understand it is an Emergency facility. As long as my pet gets proper treatment I am happy.

Cocoa, our German Shepherd mix, had not been eating for 36 hours. She was drinking water, but she vomited her water this morning, so I called this place because it was a 24-hour emergency clinic open on Sundays. We were told that we could come in at 8:00 and get on the waiting list. Parking was easy, but we didn't know the entrance was on the north side of the building, so we parked on the south end near the entrance to the parking lot. The waiting area is large. We signed in as the second patient on the waiting list at 8:00 and sat down to wait. There's a humidifier in the waiting room. We were assigned an examination room at 9:00. The assistant took Cocoa's temperature; she was running a fever and there was blood on the thermometer. At 9:30, Dr. Rios suspected an intestinal virus and ordered blood work ($250), which we were told would take about an hour. When the results came in, she went over the results and determined Cocoa had an inflammation in her intestine. She gave me the choice of an outpatient treatment ($800) or a hospital stay ($1000). I opted for the hospital stay because there was no guarantee that I would be able to administer the meds and get her to eat in the next 20 hours. I'll be picking her up tomorrow morning before 8:00 am. I gave a four-star rating because the place is open 24 hours a day and was pretty upfront about the cost, but it sure seems expensive for an intestinal infection.

My dog was neutered for a bleeding prostate infection (with a different vet). He did pretty well recovering but on day 4 he suddenly loss coordination, he recoiled with every touch and his eyes were glassy and unfocused. To me it looked like symptoms of a stroke. Dr Linde was rude, dismissive and unhelpful. She decided, without testing, that my dog was having a reaction to post op meds. I told her, he was fine in the morning for hours but then started with the symptoms so how could it be his meds? Wouldn't he have woken up with symptoms if his meds were the problem? (he hadn't had any meds since 12 hours prior). Dr Linde was done with us. We were in the waiting room waiting to check out and I was crying. She walked over to me and said, You're not helping anyone by crying. I said, I don't understand what is happening to my dog. She leaned in and said, me neither. What???? Such disrespect to a scared pet owner. No compassion whatsoever. I'll never take my dog, cat or even an imaginary pet there EVER again!! I'm so disappointed! The nurses were very sweet so I'm so sad they have to work with someone so horrible. Also, I was charged $110 for them to basically take my dogs temp.

ZERO FUCKING STARS! This place is a joke and a waste of time. In total my husband and I probably wasted 8+ hours of our lives here simply W A I T I N G. 4 hours to be seen, 2 hours to get pricing, 2 hours to finalize pricing and now probably another 4 fucking hours to just PAY and pick up my dog. I cannot believe they let people waste this much time. The only answer we got is "we have emergencies". So you're telling me the 4 people in the front sitting on the computers can't help all these poor people waiting. Do yourself a favor and don't come here. All these poor animals waiting in pain and agony with no help. D I S G U S T I N G. And the student vet and vet here don't care at all. They don't even bother to actually look at your animal till you promise to pay their fucking bill. Listen to all the one star reviews. I should have.

Apparently they triage at this location. I don't think they know what that means or how to triage. My dog is unable to walk and hasn't eaten in days yet I saw dogs walking in to get their nails cut. Must be a bad ingrown! They take our money and keep us waiting while others come and go. I don't know what's going on in this facility. But it's definitely bullshit. So I got my money back and left, all the while my dog is suffering and these people didn't help me. I believe their names where Buffy and Franny. Super rude and don't care to be bothered with your pet. I would think twice about coming to this place to treat your pet. Don't waste your time coming here. Not sure how there are other good reviews. Such a terrible experience.

First time here and never again!! By far the worst vet experience I've ever had! Took my dog in after a seizure, got put in a room about 45 min after check in.. after 1 1/2 hrs sitting in the room went to ask if we were forgotten. She says another Dr just came on and we didn't forget about you. Another 2 hrs I go out and ask how much longer, they say 3 more hours. I totally understand vet emergencies but if they would of just communicated with us we could of left and went to another vet before wasting so much time sitting there. Asked for our money back and left. Lady at the front was rude.
