Once again, strange delivery system by Granite Bay Post Office. We ordered two 16 oz. bottles of a health supplement the first week in December. Package never came. I finally contacted the company to find out why; the company claims there was an attempted delivery, but didn't know why the delivery attempt had failed. The package was sent back 3 days after I ordered it. What kind of service is this? Is this post office understaffed, suffering from dementia or orthopedic problems, or what?
This is not the 2nd or third time. Once the post office made a delivery to the end of our driveway in the rain, and one of the two packages was stolen. When we re-ordered, some of the items were no longer available.
Another time, a fragile package in a very small brown box was delivered half way down our drive way - off to the side; just happened to find it one day on the barren soil on a Sunday while driving to the street - the package blended in with the soil, and the plant died. What's the matter that the package couldn't be delivered to the door just a few yards away? Is this how UPS trains its people?
Often, we get other people's mail, and whoever is sorting the mail, needs to get some stronger glasses. Please do this immediately.

A very kind and cheerful woman who quickly helped me get done what I needed. And a lollipop bowl too.

Lady with the grey hair has the worst attitude and is rude and sarcastic I'd rather drive farther to another location than deal with this lady again

Horrible post office. The front desk lady is extremely rude. I was trying to get some information on the costs for sending a package overseas, and all I got from her is attitude. Unfortunately this post office is very close to my house. I wish I had alternatives ... if I could I would NEVER go to this place again.

Today 04/02/24, I was dropping off a package and paying for shipping. Sonya was extremely unkind and condescending towards me.
I accidentally hit a wrong button that said I had hazardous materials in my package. She said, "What are the hazardous materials? You just hit the button that said Yes." I said, "Oh I'm sorry, I meant to hit No."
Sonya scoffed and said, "That's why it's important to read."
I apologized again and explained, "I'm sorry, I have a newborn baby and I'm running off 3hrs of sleep." Sonya did not take this chance to apologize for her callused and nasty comment, but remained silent for the rest of the transaction.
I proceeded to fight back tears until I left the post office, where I broke down sobbing in my car. I am a working mom, newly postpartum, and doing the best I can to get through a day. All I did was accidentally hit the wrong button because I was exhausted from my new baby's lack of sleep, and I was met with an incredibly rude and hurtful response for a simple, easy-to-fix mistake.
It takes no effort to be kind and compassionate, and it saddens me that Sonya thinks it's acceptable to make nasty comments to people who simply hit a wrong button.
Sonya, if you read this, I sincerely hope that you reconsider how you talk to people. You don't know what anyone is going through, and a nasty comment such as the one you gave me, can be the breaking point for someone who is already going through a lot in their personal life. It's genuinely not hard to be nice to those around you.
I am disappointed that the Granite Bay Post Office, which is a place that so many community members go to regularly, chooses to employ such a heartless individual to interact with members of the community.

The woman working at this location could not figure out her computer and she was incredibly rude and impatient. I don't know why they insist on hiring senior citizens who are not computer literate, but this is ridiculous!

I first went to the Sierra Gardens location in Roseville, the line was so long I elected to go to Granite Bay location since I was heading in that direction anyway. Walking in, there was only one customer in that store, and I understand why it would be preferable to stand in line in Roseville rather than be treated by the equivalent of the Seinfeld "Soup Nazi" at this post office. This woman, who, from reading the other reviews, should have left customer service a long time ago, told me I could not write the address at a specific counter. But rather, I had to go back to the other counter, not to congregate in front of her. Mind you, there was no one waiting other than me.Then, when I brought my envelope to her, she told me in the most condescending tone that I had to write my full name in the return area, when I have simply put my last name for years without any issues. In fact, there was a customer at the folsom location I ended up at who simply wrote mom, and the worker there didn't say a word and took her package. This woman is obviously in the wrong line of work and has a huge power trip about her role with the Postal Service.I will admit not handling the situation in the most mature fashion, for what it's worth. It's no wonder most people choose to use UPS or FedEx nowadays. I don't assume the US Postal Service read these reviews, but I would strongly recommend to consumers to go out of their way to go to other locations, rather than to be treated like crap by this extremely rude individual.

The Granite Bay locals love this Post Office. Excellent location and good hardworking employees. Sonia is one who rocks it over there and makes it happen. Thank you for doing a great job.

Always appreciate the efficency and sincerety of service at every visit! Regardless of when the masses hit with their yuletide demands, the wait is always appropriate. I have never waited long.

I read a review of another person complaining that their mail was stolen out of the Granite Bay Post Office. This happened to me as well after I dropped off a box into the indoor box. I asked the older woman (Sonya?) if she could find it in the back. She was the rudest and most condescending so called customer service person. If you have a problem with her or this post office, contact the main post office or file a complaint with the Inspector General or look up online for a complaint phone number. If any post office needs to be shut down, this one is it! AVOID this post office!!!

Horrible. They don't pickup mail anymore. They started a vacation hold one day sooner than requested so an important vacation document wasn't delivered. I went to the PO to see if I could pick it up and their posted opening is 8:30. There was a hand made sign saying they opened ar 9:30. The place looks scruffy and ill kept and disorganized.

I made a post regarding my visit earlier this month giving this post office and just checked and it's REMOVED TODAY.So real quick - the woman who talks over people misleads you to over pay for postage and says when it is deduced "everyone knows there is a book rate" as she "has known this for 30 years after the exchange of she didn't know it was a book. Why would she? So, rates are a riddle and if you ask for the least expensive rate she will give you what she deems until you question it as overprices ($9 for a simple book vs. $4 book rate = cheapest) as well, she will continue her stance talking over you all the while you are in the lobby trying to do your other business. RIDICULOUS - keep her in check manager!!This employee is a DREAD, who's tone is so down talking to people (in my first post I told the story of the older man she made go back and forth for a pen, as the COUNTER pens had a long story, and were under her authority.Completely bizzare. These people are public servants, I expect them to be HONEST (she admitted their training was to charge the higher rates) and polite as am I. I laugh all the way back to my car she is so ridiculous! This is all of our post office to use that we pay taxes for as Americans. The employees here are NOT ABOVE REPROACH.
