This was a nice little quiet place off the beaten path and very private. The room was clean and the water pressure in the shower was excellent.

Needs better management that understands the English language. No hot water. AC worked great at night but struggled during the day. Grounds need to be cleaned up. Very loose board on deck. Heavy person could have fallen through. Very restful night away from the fireworks.

Hidden gem. It's a bit out of the way and the rooms are old school, but the location is peaceful, every room has a large patio facing the golf course, and the value and second to none. Highly recommend!

Quick two night family stay. It was perfect for our needs. Very good with great price and super low key location. First night there was a very loud and annoying couple fighting and yelling at their child with profanity next door but that wasn't the motel's fault. Deer on cue each evening at dusk. Dated so don't expect the Hilton but clean and refreshing for a very nice laid back experience. My bed was very creaky so much so I though I'd wake up my family just if I turned over. Otherwise all were in working order (a/c heater microwave refrigerator). Better views than you can get at a Hilton so there's that!

As a guide, I love to find places for others and I don't recommend this place. They halfway remodeled but several things are missing from being comfortable. There is no nightstands so we moved furniture on deck to accommodate. No luggage rack. Cramped toilet. I like what they done with fridge. It was nice to have balcony with views of pond from golf course but the trash dump ruined that with recliner. Nice ceiling fan . Has adjustable light. Love the area. The person at desk needs work on people skills. He got snappy with wife. Must add slider door on bathroom was broken and wouldn't close or lock. The 2 chairs was 2nd dirtiest chairs I experienced on travels. The room was really hot . Normally that wouldn't be problem but we reserved room long time ago. Last is illegal electrical outlet that took photo of. Thank you for reading and I will always try to give you honest reviews

A little off the beaten path, Alta Sierra Village Inn provides cozy rooms, and beautiful views. Our room had a full kitchen, comfy beds, a spacious bathroom, and a back porch with a gorgeous view of a lake. Highly recommended if you plan on staying near Grass Valley.

I have not stayed here nor do i plan to. I was visiting a friend staying here and saw first hand the following things i mention. Very small rooms, rude management with a serious powertrip. Micro manages and yet still run a low rate, nothing special establishment.

I really like this place. Alta Sierra Village is a home owners association I believe. The Inn is on the golf course overlooking tha greens and a lake from each rooms personal balcony. It's quaint if you like that sort of Inn, which I love.

The only thing that seemed real clean was the sheets. The heater is the air conditioner which is fine if your told ahead of time. I would not stay here again.

Do not stay in room #11 i was bit over 50 times by bed bugs in this room. Nothing about the room seemed right and i should have left immeaditley. The carpet and entire room was filthy the bed sheets were dirty and discusting, little did i know the place was infested with bed beg bugs.

Room was very well managed, clean and comfortable. With a porch giving a great view of the golf course.Would have gladly given this place 5 stars if the front desk was a little more put together about simple inquiries.Very nice people but a bit scattered.

Ken, who fielded all our calls previous to our stay, was very knowledgable. "He knows everything". The check in was efficiently completed by a very friendly and helpful young lady. I had made a mistake in reserving a King size bed and she changed our room to a two queen room. The area is beautiful with views of a golf course and large year round pond.

I stayed for a month . The first week I put a "no maid service do not disturb" sign on the door as I had legal papers to write which were complex and I needed to concentrate. Not only was i not disturbed but no other guests were placed next to me . I very much appreciated that. Also the staff were all very considerate and competent. And it's a rather lovely setting. One thing though. Alta Sierra can be very confusing and it's likely your device will lose GPS signal. WRITE DOWN THE DIRECTIONS FROM HWY 49. Otherwise you'll be asking someone on the streets how to get there. I should know.
