I have stayed here in the past it was okay could be better but this time as always I have my dog. She ada certified as a service dog and she still wanted to charge me $50. I will never stay here again hopefully I get my money.

I wasn’t expecting much after reading the reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised by kind front desk women, clean room, and overall service.
I couldn’t hear my neighbors at all, and I was in a clean room with a vinyl flooring and a very comfortable bed (the room was near the smoking area so there were some cigarette smell in the air outside, but it didn’t make it inside).
The shower has strong water pressure - although it look long to get warm, but it was VERY warm when it was!
The hair dryer didn’t work in our room but I didn’t bother to call the front.
Overall happy and will return again.
(Call ahead re staying w a dog - we were told extra $60 so we decided not to have our dog in the room)

My experience here was excellent, room was spacious, clean, warm (important for this area in winter) and unique. Originally booked a standard room through an app. Once I arrived the desk clerk ended up giving me a themed room (not even mentioned in the app). Staff was friendly and delivered clean towels shortly after I settled in. There were a few minor negatives like things not plugged in, the fridge could be leveled better and the wall between my room and the next could use some sound deadening, hence the 4 and not 5 stars overall.

Pretty basic local motel. However, Sam was the most excellent host! He made our stay very enjoyable. Always made sure we had what we needed. The location is near everything. We ended up staying way longer than anticipated and had absolutely no problems rebooking, several times.

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE A SOLO FEMALE! My friend booked a room here and barely got settled in when the “manager” started getting unprofessional. I get a call from my friend asking me to stay on the phone until they can pack get in their car and get away to safety.
In her words “ at first everything seemed fine and he seemed like a friendly/talkative front desk person. He walked me to the room by the office and unlocked the door and walked me through it. He offered to bring me tea if I didn’t drink coffee which I thought was very kind. Although some of his questions were a little much, I chalked it up to a language barrier and just different personalities. “Was there only one traveler staying in the room” (normal check in question) turned into “was I married” (yes happily), “did I have kids” (no) him asking who the “problem” was with and him saying he would pray for little babies for me. Ok whatever.
I dropped my bags off and went to grab food. It started to get really weird when I got back from eating dinner and heard what sounded like someone fiddling with the windows outside (I had closed the blinds and locked the windows). Then he knocked on the door and started asking if everything was going ok, offered me tea again. He said he loves to share their culture with anyone checking in and typically makes tea. I said no I was fine I didn’t want to stay up all night and had to be up early. He said he wanted to show me something in the office and as I walked over he motioned to a door, as I stepped in it was definitely not an office. He started saying he wanted to show me his “home” and put a cup of tea in my hands. He started talking about his family and his culture then started trying to get me to go to the bed, and started asking me about my work. Then my tattoos and how many did I have, could he see them, etc. all while keeping asking me to drink the tea, (which I was basically pretending to sip). He then mentioned not having many friends and how when it came to ladies, “his hand was good enough,” while motioning to his “regions.” I said I still had work to do and turned to leave and he started asking when I would be done, and did I have to leave, to come back. When would I be off the next day. Then he asked if he could hug me (no). Another customer drove up to the office door and I called my friend, packed, and went to a different hotel.

Would give 5 star if there was a place for me to roast some weenies. The severe lack of weenie roasting amenities put a damper on my trip. My lady was quite distraught about it as well. Think of the women and children and put a firepit somewhere for the sake of weenie roast culture.

DO NOT STAY HERE! I reserved/prepaid for a room on a booking site for some friends that came into town. The man at the night window refuses to honor the booking stating “you didn’t pay it to me so take it up with somebody else” and when he was asked to look at the itinerary number they were told he wasn’t going to give them the room and brandished a handgun then set it on the counter in the night window. I could not believe the treatment that was going on as I listened to the whole thing unfold as I was on the phone with them while they were trying to checking in. I live in this area because I like the small town feeling and how friendly people are. The last thing I would’ve expected was to have my friend treated in such a manor. The employee working tonight has so business working with the public!

From the outside I didn't expect much but when I opened the door to my room I was in heaven it looked just like a cabin in the woods, pot belly stove and all... Very impressed. I've sent pictures to everyone in Texas.

A disaster!!!! They wanted to make us pay for the service dog and when we said no, they didn't want to give us our money back. The attention was terrible! They slammed the door in our faces.
