This is from The UNNOTICED, An Autobiographical Inquisition:
It's near Halloween, in the pet store they have two bags on the counter with question marks all over the label and a $5 price tag; one bag is marked DOG, the other, CAT.
Mockridge asks the clerk, “What are those about?” and she explains that they’re mystery bags; that each contains over $25 worth of stuff, but she can’t reveal specifically what.
“It’s a surprise,” she says. Wiseass Mockridge asks, “Do you have mystery bags for birds, fish, and reptiles also?”
She brightens and answers, “We do!”
Mockridge says, “Oh, I thought I was being clever.”
And she responds immediately, “Yeah, we were prepared for someone coming in who might think he’s clever.”
It's that kind of place, everyone on the staff is very well informed, always courteous and cheerful and -this I find especially nice- clever.

Bought a beautiful bed for my Mal girl....the Mastiffs loved it!!! Went back next day and bought 3 more. They got a great deal on beds and passed the savings to us...UNHEARD OF!!!

I wouldn't recommend buying this product that contains potatoes, which is poison to cats. We threw it away after reading ingredients. Also it's very watery.

Unreliable at best. They only have the dog food I need every once in awhile. Plus the employees aren’t very helpful with this.

Very nice people to deal with. They are knowledgeable about the products they carry and take their time listening and advising about them. Their self service doggie washing stations make bathing your dog super easy at a very reasonable price.
