About Orchard Springs Campground
Orchard Springs Campground is a rugged and aged campground on Rollins Lake, noted for its beautiful location and amazing, clean water that is very accessible for swimming. It is considered by many to be the best place to swim at the lake, being kid-friendly with no quick sand-mud, and is also good for paddle boarding. Visitors may see wildlife like a cute, chill gray fox. The staff is really nice and works hard to take care of the place, gathering trash and cleaning the bathrooms. One bathroom is noted to be very clean, while others may have issues. The campground has a shaved ice stand that is a hit. However, the campground has been declining lately. A significant issue is that the noise ordinance is not followed, with reports of loud parties, music, and yelling all night long disturbing sleep, as security has quit. The store has very few items and its posted hours are often incorrect. Some facilities, like showers, may have only one working stall. Boat docking is sometimes closed, and the lake can be low. The private cove area is fun but can have a lot of bees. While the Peninsula campsite swimming is difficult, Orchard Springs does accept its parking pass to avoid a fee. Some visitors feel it is now way overpriced and note a lack of courtesy from some guests, like smokers leaving butts. Despite the problems, many would still return.
I’ve been calling for weeks to book our families usual camp dates and sights for this summer and the phone number is disconnected! Did they suddenly close down??

Gorgeous and quiet here in the fall & winter- no one here: one of my favorite places to hike and (fish). Parking fee is $20.
Oh and if you’re loud and want to party, don’t come here please, good people want to keep this lake quiet and clean: the losers who leave bad reviews - stay away!
