The RiteAid store itself is fine, but avoid the pharmacy if you can. The pharmacy is poorly staffed to the point where they may not even answer the phone, lines to pick up prescriptions can be 20-30+ minutes long, and some of the staff clearly do not want to work in customer service. The pharmacists are good and friendly, but you will rarely get to speak with them unless you specifically request them. The Grass Valley location has had consistent problems with staffing for several years now. If possible, try using the Brunswick Basin CVS or Walgreens, or Raley's, Target/CVS, if those are closer to you. I've heard from multiple doctors and patient's that Dokimo's is the best in town, but they aren't always accepting new patients.

The staff at this store complained about each other constantly. Every time I go there is alot of one staff being angry at another and they stand around talking about it. Meanwhile the customers are waiting or need help. Absolutely the most unprofessional people manning the store.

Customer service, availability of timely refills and wait times has improved so much in last 4 months. For at least a year before that I would barely give one star. Whatever Rite Aid has changed it is working and I now have no complaints.

The cashier's and staff at this place are the best, and because of it, I'm considering working there. Prices are more than fair always. It's a great place to shop.

Unkempt store. Huge pallets block the merchandise during 9-5 business hours. No service. Employees on the sales floor scramble to stock instead of helping customers find items. Even if you ask for help, you won't be helped. Store associates know little about their store policy and instead openly tout their personal political beliefs. Instead of saying "thank you for shopping," you may get a sloppy, wet, grandma-kiss, "MAGA!" MAGA this b*****

This store is so convenient i'm going to miss the wide variety of items, especially their seasonal goods, and the pharmacy. They always have everything i need, and employees are helpful. Sad to see it go, does anyone know when it is slated to close for new housing development?

Well, like any customer service business there will always be customers in a hurry, showing their impatience with rudeness.I switched to Rite several months ago because my previous vendor was not particularly up to snuff. I did not rail on them in the media or rate them with a one star. Giving everyone the benefit of the doubt in the kind of economy and circumstances we live is the customers first responsibility to their local business, and acting kindly with the same character we expect of our over worked, under paid workers is second. My experience with Rite Aid is top notch. I took responsibility for shopping at hours when I knew the number of customers would be few, both at the Pharmacy and at the main checkout station.I took responsibility for checking out the online ads, or the ad usually available at the entrance to see what was on sale, and what was not.Once in a while a clerk may have been on their 10 minute morning break, or lunch break. It is not their fault they went on break at the time I arrived and had to wait a few more minutes to receive help. One of the many Christian virtues is patience, a virtue very lacking in our narcissistic "hurry up, I'm in a hurry on my lunch break" society. When was the last time a customer remembers when they were behind the counter as a newbie and got ragged on for something they did not do, intentionally or otherwise. I have very rarely seen or heard a customer service rep be lauded for their diligence, slow as some infer. Thanksgiving should be more about our neighbors then about the amount of Turkey we ate and who won the football game.Thank you to Rite Aid for providing a super clean environment to shop in, to have isles of products we can choose from, and prices that are competitive with everyone else. If you don't like the store and service try CVS, the last place I left... :)

This store is in need of an intervention. Their pharmacy and overall customer service were excellent until about six months ago. Since then the pharmacy has been in shambles, they’ve closed the drive-thru and shortened their hours, and lines to pick up medication move at about one customer every 15 minutes. I’ve had to come back several days in a row to pick up a refill. Each day, I wait in line until I have to go back to work, and the line has barely moved. The amount of time and gas money wasted driving here to pick up medication I need, only to stand in line and leave empty-handed, is beyond frustrating. I hope they can get their act together.

I had an emergency room at Stanford University Hospital in early September and a prescription had been called in for medication. I could never get through on the telephone as it would constantly reset to the greeting message. I had asked a friend to attempt to pick up my medication in person. She had waited in a long line of people for 45 minutes. She indicated that when she finally was able to speak to a staff member she was told that it was not ready, after 4 days from being submitted, and it would take about and hour, perhaps a bit longer, to fill it and could wait in the waiting area that was already filled to capacity with others waiting. She called me to tell me and I told her to skip-it. I then called a CVS store to have it transferred. CVS had called me back and told me that they were told it would be quite problematic to have it transferred and was told to tell me that I should contact the prescribing doctor to resend it to CVS. This is your forewarning of what to expect from this store.

I'm absolutely disgusted with the service my mother received from this location. She's 72 years old and has problems getting to town. She hasn't been able to pick up her medication in weeks. She's tried calling numerous times to see if she could have her medication mailed but no one answers the phone. On Friday she came to the store and waited in line for several minutes. When it was her turn in line the pharmacist turned her away because it was time to close. I've worked in customer service over 20 years and you simply DON'T DO THAT! If you have clients waiting in line, and it's five minutes til closing, you need to either tell those clients in line that the pharmacy is closed, or take the extra two minutes to grab their medicine and ring them up. She waited in line and was turned away at the register. AWFUL. Now she's even sicker because she doesn't have the medication and can't get to town to pick it up. You blew it rite aid. This is not how you treat your customers. Shame on you.
