Super fun to visit and very informative. Howard gave a wonderful tour and you could just tell how passionate he was about alpacas and natural dying. All the puppies were a hit too. Definitely worth visiting on a day they are open or setting up an appointment if you are in the area.

What a fun and interesting tour! Howard and Cynthia were friendly and very informative. The alpacas and their guardian dogs are just beautiful. Not to mention their beautiful farm…and of course their store. Impossible not to make a purchase ~ my granddaughter picked an adorable alpaca, my husband and I couldn’t resist the socks. Thank you again for a wonderful visit!

We had a wonderful visit here! The owners/guides are very knowledgeable and friendly, and the alpacas are adorable and really fun the feed. In the gift shop, my daughter got the softest alpaca-fleece teddy bear that she is absolutely in love with, and I picked up some beautiful and fabulously soft alpaca yarn. Also, I messed up and showed up a week early for our reservation, and they very graciously accommodated us anyway.Such a great, fun place!

Out of all the bachelorette activities I could think of, hanging out at an Alpaca farm was far from what I thought we'd do. However, our incredible bride LOVES animals and so did all the bridesmaids. We were lucky enough to stumble upon Sierra Rose Alpacas. We called to make a reservation which was easy and quick. On the day of the reservation we ended up being late and we called to let them know and they were kind and understanding. When we arrived we were greeted and everyone got to use the bathroom and refill water with some ice. It was a hot day! The tour was informative and hilarious at the same time. We learned a lot about the species and got to pet some and take several pictures. We also got to learn about what to do with alpaca wool and how to craft it. We all went home with awesome souvenirs. It was great to visit this farm and learn about these precious animals. We can't wait to go back the next time we're in the area!

Loved our tour of Sierra Rose Alpacas! Cynthia and Howard provided a comprehensive tour of their alpaca operation, from a meet and greet (from a respectful distance, as the alpaca are shy) of both the boy and girl alpacas, to fiber prep and processing, all the way to Howard's hand dyed (with natural plant dyes! Amazing!!) yarns. And when the tour concluded, they were also kind enough to recommended a beautiful spot for a picnic lunch on our way back to town.A wonderful, educational experience all around! Thank you so much for making our day!

Couldn’t have asked for a more amazing time!Cynthia and Howard were awesome, genuine and thoughtful hosts and treated our trio to a time so much better than we imagined — and we thought this trip would be great anyways.Loved our hour tour with the alpacas. Cynthia hosed off the lady and fella alpacas and we enjoyed learning about how hard these two have had to work to make their dream come to fruition. Howard makes his own alpaca yarn dyes from plants — which is amazing! — and Cynthia showed us how fiber is initially cleaned and processed. It was such a low-key, thoughtful and sincere experience and I really enjoyed seeing the happiness and care these two put into this operation. I’d visit again in a heartbeat and recommend this to anyone. I’d say as a reminder, though, that this is not a petting zoo; the alpacas are very cute and fun but also they’re not interested in being pet by people and that’s okay. We really enjoyed learning about them and learning about Howard and Cynthia. Don’t hesitate to visit!

We had such a great time at Sierra Rose Alpaca Farm. You can tell the Alpacas are taken well care of, loved and adored. We booked a tour for my daughter's first birthday and learned so much about these interesting, intelligent animals. After the tour you can browse the shop which has many beautiful handmade gifts and supplies. At this moment the tours are limited to one car/family at a time which made for a very nice one on one experience!

We spent a wonderful Sunday in alpacas farm. Couple of days ago my kids (4 and 7) told that alpacas are either goats or baby camels, so we had to make a trip to alpacas farm. The scheduling was easy and i like online payment system. On the arrival we were greeted by Howard and Cynthia. Everything is very clean wit had sanitizers on the tables. First we visited "girls" - the female alpacas. Kids enjoyed feeding them from hand and roaming around them. Alpacas are such friendly animals! Howard gave us a wonderful tour and explained to my talkative boy about alpacas, what do they eat, how long do they sleep etc. etc. etc. We had a little issue when my 4 year old fell down running and hit her head. Cynthia is EMT and helped us immediately by disinfecting the little wound and putting a band aid. We are so thankful to her! At the end, kids got little gift and i had a chance to shop in their store. The wool is very soft and so many items to choose from. We will definitely be back with some other families to visit us. This is so much fun both for adults and kids!

What fun and informative experience. The girls are beautiful and the boys quite handsome. Purchased some lovely fiber and can't wait to create a wonderful shawl.
