I love this bank. Best customer service. Never going anywhere else. Also to note, it's a couple dollars a month if you have less then $1500. I've rarely had more then that in my account, and it still does not bother me in the least. Their level of service is well worth the small charge.

Very impressed with this bank's customer service. I am not an account holder, but a client, who is an account holder, needed to wire funds to complete a purchase. I arrived at his home at 3:45pm to get some paperwork signed, and learned he had to get to the bank in person to authorize the wire. (He doesn't drive.) We raced to get to the bank before they closed at 4:00pm and arrived at 4:04pm. The staff unlocked the doors to let us in after hours, and patiently spent the next 30 minutes assisting with the wire instructions, updates to the client's account, etc. Neither of us expected this outcome. It was such a blessing that the staff went the extra mile!

I am not a customer but I had the opportunity to do business with this bank and specifically, Tomee Crabtree. This man went way over and above to help me with my dilemma. I drove an hour to get to Grass Valley to pick up a check and get it cashed. This was on 11-23-22(the day before Thanksgiving). The business that wrote me the check made an error. I went back to the business only to find they were closed until Monday. I went back to see Tomee and see if there was any hope for my situation. Tomee saved the day and got ahold of the right people. Between the business and Tomee, all was fixed. Tomee is definitely a huge asset to this company. Thank you so much, Tomee!!!

Absolutely LOVE the staff! They are like family. They call me by name when I walk in ..even if they are helping another customer! I got 4 bank accounts there and wouldn't go anywhere else!

I wanted to open a basic personal checking account. I was told I needed to have a $1500 minimum in my account at all times, or suffer a penalty fee. Could you imagine standing in a food bank line for hours, because you can't spend any of your $1500 without being fined. As I told the manager, "you clearly cater to the wealthy". Westamerica you should be ashamed.

I've been with Westamerica Bank for many years now. But I've also had longtime connections to other banks like Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Chase Bank. A few of my banks have been merged into others - thus my experience with Wells Fargo. But it was through my horrific experience with Wells Fargo that brought me to Westamerica Bank - and I have never looked back. I like the wonderful people and service of Westamerica - and I've worked with various branches in various locations as I have moved a lot in the past 20 years. I want to give a shout out to the branches in Sausalito and in Grass Valley. They have always treated me with respect and (in a word you don't often associate with banking) generosity. Westamerica hasn't been the quickest bank to get into digital. Yes, I was with them before they were fully online. And there are still some cumbersome aspects to their digital presence, but their high quality service out-weighs that aspect of their organization. If you wanted to be treated well, I'd recommend you look into them. They are West Coast centric, but I live part time abroad and I've not had to change banks. The only proviso in being an expat with them as your bank is that their rates aren't the cheapest and you'll be charged ATM fees from abroad. Still, I've kept them as my main bank and added applications that defray the costs of ATMS and transfer fees, because I know they have my back. Good work, Westamerica!
