The store might be fine. The owner is a dangerously loose canon. Having reserved a Uhaul truck only to get there to learn they didn't have it I was forced by time constraints to accept a smaller one. Upon returnig it I asked to speak to the manager. While addressing the elderly man as "Sir" I quickly learned in brutal fashion that Mack's was his safe zone where he could exercise his demons on innocents. Upon realizing I was not happy at receiving no curtesy call so I might locate another truck or that I now have to make a second 250 mile/$400 trip to retrieve what didn't fit in the smaller truck and was hoping to discuss options "Chucky" appeared. His voice immediatly went to a near scream, spittle flying around the jabbing finger in my face (both things he seemed unnervingly practiced at) he berated me with lies that I HAD called him an idiot that Uhaul wouldn't EXPEXT him to hold a truck if the opportunity arose to rent (so much for the term "reserve" and which isn't true) and literally yelled at me in the for 20 minutes in the middle of his store in front of customers.Thankfully a clearly subservient yet reasonable employee found an opening and interjected himself providing the lifeline needed to conclude my return of the truck and get as far away as possible from "Mack's". The most bizarre, humiliating, unprofessional and, frankly, disgusting behavior I have seen or experienced in my near 70 years. He promised to further punish me through my credit card he now had ("YOU SIGNED THE AUTHORIZARIONTIONAND THAT'S ALL I NEED!) and have me "banned from ever using uhaul". Thankfully, I have a years-long track record with Uhaul but I'm stunned at the irony. MACK'S was the one to rent out my reserved truck and then fail to provide a curtesy notice costing me hundreds in a second trip and and then for fun berate, humiliate, overcharge and the man can't be satisfied there; he has to see me "banned for life". Wow...The above does not come close to fully depicting the depravity of the man that I encountered that day. I will pray for him. I won't further patronize his business.

Wonderful customer service. Love this place. When I was burned out of Paradise, they gave displaced fire victims free propane (because many of us were living in RV's and campers). 5 years later, I still drive out of my way to patronize this store. They represent why local stores are needed and truly benefit a community. They are always super helpful, have what I need and have great prices on propane!

Favorite store in gridley. Good prices. I usually go for their fishing supplies, and drink mixes, but they have so much more.
