Overpriced, below-average food. I can't believe they dare to charge the prices they do for a burger patty that is thinner than In N Out! Do not come here!!

I've been going to Garlands all my life. They use to have another one in Nipomo and I use to eat there all the time. This visit to Garlands was a little different. I didn't taste the peppery taste, but that wasn't a bad thing. The burger was cooked great and the new buns are good. The fries are always good and the milkshake is even better. They also offer a lot of non mean items and chicken burgers for anyone who doesn't eat meat or beef. The service was great. I am already craving it again. It is pretty pricey. That is probably the only downfall.

Where do I start? I will say the staff was friendly enough. We ordered 2 Ortega burgers, 1 onion ring and 1 soda. $37.25 later we received our order. The burger was as small as they make them. The burger so thin there was only one side. The rings were ok and the drink was cold. The burger was more like a lettuce sandwich. I don't see myself ever going back for this overpriced not so good meal. I've been eating at garlands since they were in Nipomo. Any remember that? Also no prices anywhere, why hide them?

Located at almost the end of Grand Ave, is Garlands. This burger joint has its own parking and street parking. Next to the parking lot is a fenced in area to eat with tables. Inside, there are about 5 tables. You go up, look at the picture menu on the wall or menu in front of the register. I was greeted and ordered the Turkey Burger, Lg Fry, Onion Rings, and a coke. Self served coke and the guy brought the food to our table. The turkey burger seemed homemade. It was thicker than any turkey burger around, huge plus. Flavorful, well seasoned, with fresh veggies on top. The fries are thicker than the shoe strings, but not that thick. Seasoned well and cooked well. The onion rings were crunchy. The ranch complemented the rings well. They were good. My daughter had a strawberry milkshake that I snuck a few sips, it was Great! Overall, will keep coming back to this South County staple. *I'd like the fries a little more fried/double fried and the onion rings could've been a little grittier(crunchy/roughness), almost perfect.

The team are friendly and efficient in getting your food out hot. The burgers are steamroller mass produced flavorless patties-giant slab iceberg lettuce, you have to reassemble to eat it. We remember ay back when first opened it was THE burger joint-now, just another boring burger stand. Prices way high for the quality.

WAY OVER PRICED!just for a hamburger or cheeseburger is like close to $20 it's ridiculous! food was good places with a little run down atmosphere was chill and service was great very laid back but get your pocketbook out if you want to eat here for sure!
