Went to Grover Beach Wells Fargo to open up another checking account. I have been a customer since 1970 and have several accounts with them. I went in on a Tuesday to open up the account and was told I had to come back on Friday. There were NO customers at that time just me. I said ok I'll go somewhere else Their reply was OK!! Are these people just flipping lazy?? I drove to Santa Maria WF branch They opened the account, no problem. Very professional and courteous. Looks like Grover Beach WF needs better management!!

Wow! I merely wanted to open up a checking account with a $100,000 and iI was on hold forever while the male who answered the phone tried to determine if ANYONE could meet with me to open an account. He did not come back to the phone after telling me everyone was busy. Then another guy answered the phone and was equally as clueless and unhelpful. I will need to find a bank where the empty suit "bankers" who always seem to be standing around doing nothing - can actually do their job. Even for SLO county standards, this bank is really lame.

Probably the SLOWEST customer service I have ever experienced. Friendly but extremely SLOW. What happened to being aware of other people's time? I spent an hour waiting listening to the Mgr in charge talk about taking the summer off, time in Colorado etc. Looks like most reviews voice the same concern. Hope it improves before I'm forced to go elsewhere.

This is the bank I started at in high school. Not sure what happened but they went way down hill. At this point I haven't been in there in years and it's a couple blocks away.

5 years ago Wells Fargo used to be on top of their game but now they are more and more lazy. Their website doesn't update payments or purchases for a really long time. It makes it hard to keep up with your balance. I would avoid this bank as a new customer unless you have a balance sheet and keep it updated regularly. They will overdraft you into oblivion.

The Grover Beach Wells Fargo branch has the worst service and capability of any bank I have ever used. Even a simple function like doing a wire transfer is like going to the dentist and you have to make an appointment to go through the torture (in my case it had to be the next day). I finally gave up trying to do the transfer because the person helping me couldn't get the job done. While I have had good experience with other Wells Fargo branches in the Bay Area, this one is just horrible, and is bad enough to make me move most of my money to another bank because I don't want to have to drive all the way into SLO to find basic banking competency.

Anna Farmer is so great! Stopped in to open an account & get more info about credit. Left pretty much an expert on credit lol. She is very knowledgable! The store as a whole seemed very nice & friendly also!

Today's experience was the tipping point to write this review. For this branch (every branch, in a few major cities as well as small towns where I've lived this has been true) and for Wells Fargo Bank ... five stars for "as good as it CAN get ..." considering the stifling, mercurial regulations bankers now have to navigate. Having experienced two other banks and leaving them years ago for their lack of accountability or icy recognition of me as a person rather than a series of ledgers ... in the three decades since, Wells Fargo, no matter the branch, has had individuals there who actually CARE about ... well, me, a customer. The first time I experienced it was in the early '90s, when out of pure kindness a rep from the bank called me to give me a heads-up that I was about to bounce a few checks (I had added wrong and carried a 1 into the 100 column and spent it! Ooops!), in time for me to avoid fees or problems. No other bank would have done it, they'd have left me to my own mess. Now recently, along the same lines, different branch different city same bank, swiftly resolved a technical problem that in a way occurred in the first place BECAUSE Wells Fargo put me first. I suspect that now especially within ALL national and local banks is a divide of employees who see only "by the book," and true bankers who see "by the customer" and are there to HELP them rather than deflect them, as seemed the case at the other banks. Thank you Wells Fargo for having the "true" types so strong in your organization.

The short youngish chunky lady with the poofy hair is just straight up rude. Have you ever heard of customer service?! It really doesn't hurt to smile, welcome someone and say thank you, have a nice day. Horrible service by this girl. Needs to be trained on how to deal with customers. It is what brings your customers coming back in the first place. I know this as I have many years of experience in managing. This girl will be a loss of business. This girl needs to be let go. Or put in the back to where she doesn't deal with customers, she just shoves money your way. Than you gotta collect it and organize it cause she shoves it to you all sloppy. If you don't like your job do something else where your ugly attitude fits.

I have to be straight up here, I have been a WFB customer for 11 years now, and frankly this is the WORST branch I have ever experienced. Some of my issues are with the software (and advertising) on the ATM. Really people? DO you think we want to be interrupted with our transaction (because we use the ATM because we are in a hurry and don't want to wait in line in the branch) by YOUR ADS, or other companies ads????? NOT. I have had at least 4 interactions in the branch with the ATM not working outside, including one where it RAN OUT OF CASH......seriously? or doing some default thing that I DID NOT CHOOSE. The branch manager has an attitude (the one in her own office by the door) that is less than customer-friendly at times when you take YOUR TIME to share what is happening and hoping for some type of "service" or "understanding" or some type of resolution. If you have another branch near you, I would HIGHLY recommend you try them and see how their customer service is.

I've had the same issues as have others with trying to get things notarized there-- "Make an appointment". Right. I just go to the SLO branch where they don't require you to treat them as if they are more important than you. Seriously looking for a new bank after 25 years.

Drena Manzano was extremely helpful with our banking and financial inquiry. She was very professional and patient and answered each and every question we had. My wife and I are extremely thankful for her assistance.

As far as banks go this is a good place to do business. Every time I head in here there is a lot of people and business happening. The team here seem to take it in stride and very polite and efficient.

And and to no surprise Sandra at the Nipomo branch secured me a line of credit via the SBA. Don't get me wrong there are some awesome employees at the Grover Beach branch. I do handle most of my banking there. I would give more stars because of the other staff but it wouldn't reflect what I felt sitting at her desk.
