I'm so grateful for The Loft existing in this small corner of the Earth. Laurel is a treasure. She helped me find everything I needed for basket weaving with foraged materials. I'll definitely be back for more craft supplies soon. They have more than quilting and strung materials.

Although I am a long time Sea Rancher, it was not until my son Adrian visited this winter 2024 and needed some knitting supplies, that we made a visit to The Loft and met the owner, Maryse. We were very impressed by the quality of the supplies and the selection in this store, and also impressed by the genuine welcome and helpfulness of the owner. She spent quality time with my son, guiding him with his purchases, answering his questions and even showing him the steps he needed to put the finishing touches on his first scarf! Our community is very fortunate to have a store like The Loft, and especially to have Maryse in charge. The experience was perfection! As she is French, I can add that elle est exceptionelle!

I'm just getting into crocheting and thought I'd hit up any yarn stores I could on my way up the coast this past Friday. I loved the yarn selection here and picked out a couple different kinds that I'm excited about. The lady working here was very nice and gave me some helpful suggestions on how to better my crochet skills and some things I could make with my yarn. All in all a great experience and I'll definitely stop in again if I'm ever passing by!

Cute little art supply store. Given how small it is, they have an amazing selection. They have a little bit of just about everything: quilting (tools, supplies, fabric, batting, thread, books), knitting, drawing, painting, dying, needle felting, watercolor, sculpy clay, rubber stamping, and lots of children's craft project kits. I'm sure there were other art forms represented, I'm just going off of memory. There are some locally made jewelry and crafts for sale too. They even have quilting classes. The owner was very friendly and offered to cut fat quarters for us out of their regular bolts if there was something we wanted. What a treasure this place is! I wish I'd brought my sewing machine on vacation!

Spending time at The Loft was one of the highlights of our month-long visit to Gualala. Both Laurel and Maryse were warm and welcoming. Laurel was kind enough to help me with a knitting project and now I feel like I am a “real” knitter. I looked forward to my many visits to the shop where I felt I had a home away from home. The shop itself has a cozy feel and has quilting, knitting, art supplies.... I highly recommend The Loft to both out-of-town visitors and locals alike. Much success to Maryse in her new endeavor. With her enthusiasm and warm welcome, I’m sure she will succeed. Looking forward to our visit next year!
