The breakfast was excellent, one step down from a full hot breakfast. Many options and good quality. The property is adorable, and features a well behaved cat named Smores. He hung out on my lap while we ate on the patio, elavting the experience. Staff were delightful. Coming back forsure!
They offer smores in the evening also, nice touch!

My husband and I stayed at Cottages on River Road were blown away by the experience. We booked a two-bedroom cottage and couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful, welcoming escape.
From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were a million miles away from the rest of the world. The grounds were clean and serene, and the staff, especially Cathy at the front desk, went above and beyond to make us feel at home.
The location is great! Tucked away in nature but still close to plenty of food options. One of the highlights of our stay was roasting s’mores by the fire pit in the evening. It was such a simple but special moment that made the whole trip feel even more magical.
Honestly, part of me doesn’t even want to share this review because this place feels like a little slice of heaven—but it deserves the praise. If you're looking for a comforting, quiet getaway in the Guerneville area, this is it.

Charming cozy hotel. Very clean with comfy beds. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would give it 6 star’s if it had been closer to the main (walking) part of town. I would definitely stay here again.

Staff was very attentive and friendly. The cabin was very clean with many extras: ice, pool towels. Complimentary: Continental breakfast 8:30 -10 AM , Swimming Pool 10 AM- 8 PM and Fire pit S’mores 7:00 PM. The cabins are enclosed in a beautiful well maintained garden complete with Redwood trees. There is a nice friendly cat named S’mores who will greet you as you enjoy the outdoor area. Although the Cottages are located next to a main road…once you enter the grounds the road noise is NOT noticeable. We were sad to have our stay end. Will be staying here again!!

We had a very so so experience here related to hospitality. We were told breakfast was served at 8:30 and around 8 an elderly couple went in the lobby and sat down for breakfast. We have a 4 year old son who was hungry and we wanted coffee, so we went in as well and got a few breakfast items and we’re going to sit outside. The elderly couple finished their breakfast inside and left. As we were finishing gathering our things to sit outside a lady came up behind me and my son and informed us breakfast isn’t served until 8:30, and walked us to the door outside then locked it behind us. This felt so incredibly unnecessary to me and so inhospitable, I’ve never experienced anything like this before. Quite honestly felt discriminated against because I had a toddler with me but then an older couple came in to sit down and eat before us, that was no problem. Cute place but not for families with kids.

Wow!!! Amazing place. Super clean and comfortable, well equipped room, beautiful common areas including pool and fire pit with s'mores kit. The lady at the front desk (April 16) was super helpful and accommodated our late check in. Breakfast was great too. Highly recommended.

This hotel is the best among all the places that we have stayed! The room was clean and neat and staff friendly including the resident cat (super loving and sweet). There was a bonfire and smore in the evening, which offers an opportunity to meet with other guests. The breakfast, yes the breakfast is the best with delicious quiches and homemade muffins and more. I cannot say enough good things about this place!!!

Had the pleasure of doing a one night visit to Enchanting Cottages on River Road. Room was completely updated, super clean, and comfortable. Had our dog traveling and there was a nice clean Dog area. Also a dog park nearby. Reasonable rate. Staff was very accommodating for an early check in. Great breakfast opportunity, beautiful grounds and evening S’mores.

the bed in our small cabin was soooo comfortable,
the staff perfectly accommodating and the atmosphere in the courtyard lovely,
walls are thin and neighbor noise can be a distraction,
however, for the charm we will return.

Exceptional experience from start to finish. Two welcoming local hosts ensured a smooth check-in to our cozy cottage, featuring a small bedroom, modern bathroom, and a combined dresser, Keurig coffee bar, and wine fridge. Each cottage has a spacious front porch for relaxing. Despite record-low temperatures and a heater issue on the first night, the outstanding customer service team upgraded us to a larger cottage at no extra cost—a rare and thoughtful gesture.
Located off River Road, central to Russian River attractions, this peaceful retreat is perfect for unwinding. The property offers comfortable beds, plush towels, premium toiletries, smart key entry, and complimentary Keurig pods. Daily continental breakfast with bagels, muffins, and juice adds a nice touch. Quiet, well-maintained, and managed with care, The Cottages on River Road is a hidden gem. Highly recommended!
