Nice store, crowded parking lot, rude cashier. She wasn’t pleasant at all, pushed my purchase away like it was contaminated or something. It was blue painter tape. Lame and uncalled for.

This is for the delivery service…If you use this service, the associate on the phone said to make sure and write to Ace on their online form’s notes *deliver out of view of traffic.* I had no idea a business needed me to explain that “package pirates” go after items in clear view.
The delivery person on 8/21/25 thought it okay to leave my items on driveway…clearly seen from street. Not only that, but they also thought it okay to leave my personal information on the receipt flapping in the wind. Not cool!!!
Trying to support local business should not mean having to lower my expectations. I expect deliveries by my front door without having to explain that it’s safer.
PS the phone associate took no accountability and while I got a “sorry,” it was quickly followed by “but it was your fault for not specifying”

This is one of the larger Ace hardwares . Hassett stores also seem to carry more of a selection of products. They had everything I was looking for and you can actually find help from employees that know their store. So much better than that orange box place. If they had cheaper prices and carried lumber they would put all other hardware stores out of business.

Disrespectful and Unhelpful Customer Service – Long-Time Customer Disappointed

As a long-time customer and Coastsider, it really pains me to write this review about Ace Hardware. I have supported this location for years, but after my recent experience, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
I recently made a purchase, and afterward realized I had forgotten to present a coupon that Ace had sent out. I went back to the store and asked if they could make a quick adjustment, which is a standard practice at most other stores. To my surprise, I was pointed to a sign saying “no adjustments” rather than treated with any semblance of customer service.
When I asked to speak with a manager, I was directed to Jody (or Judy, as I was told), who was not only unhelpful but also downright disrespectful. She spoke down to me, dismissing my request without even attempting to resolve the issue in a professional manner. Her attitude was condescending and, frankly, unacceptable.
I understand store policies are in place for a reason, but the way I was treated over something as simple as a coupon adjustment is why I’m now rethinking my loyalty to this store. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, but unfortunately, I will be careful in the future and look elsewhere for my hardware needs.
Very disappointing, Ace.

Usually has what I need, in & out no complaints for me other then maybe need a bigger parking lot for weekends but good prices for in town
