Smoothies! Im a big fan of smoothies, esp good smoothies. New Leaf Com. market definitely has some yummy smoothies! Service was great! Ambiance of the store feels like a cross between Whole Foods and safeway?

I was there a few weeks ago. It is a very nice super market. Almost look like some other upscale supermarket started with W. Basically the bakery area, there is a glass or plastic transparent shelf, you could choose your own cookie, just like the other upscale supermarket Whole F. Supermarket look very clean. Near the entrance has "restroom". I look at the glass shelf that hosted the cake. The cake look pretty good. I did not look at the price. It look very appertizing.

I am an expert on speciality grocery stores. I like the whole shopping experience. I am a bit of a foodie. I was shopping for a very very special meal. This all combined to bring me here. I had not been in years. The store is a nice size, not a super you know what mart. The produce section was fresh and well-stocked. The cheese selection (always of key importance) was well stocked with high end products. I was looking for a particularly fine cut of beef for a luxurious roast. I found a beautiful tri-tip, which the butcher tied up properly for me. Some creamy little potatoes, some fresh whole carrots to roast with the beef, and we found a lovely Pinot Noir. The meal was a huge success! The service provided by the staff was of a very high standard for this day and age. I will shop here again!

When I heard about Big Tony Alcabbrea passing away, my first thought was to send flowers to the family, but I remembered how he ate lunch every day at the New Leaf Community Market and they had no idea about his affiliation with the mafia. I was impressed with him eating at the same place every day, so decided to go see what all the hoopla was. He always said it's the food but I think it's a skirt that caught his fancy. The sandwiches were delicious, 5 stars. ☆☆☆☆☆

This place has a management problem. I have gone several times to get desserts. They are behind a counter. The problem is the counter is shared with the coffee bar, which shuts down at the wrong time for when people may want to pick up a dessert. Think about it, your going over to friends for dinner and you are bringing dessert, so you want to pick it up on your way @ 6pm - 7pm on a Friday or Saturday night. You have to track someone down and they have to find the manager. Here are my recommendations for my return visit. 1) Station is open during all business hours 2) Someone other than the manager can assist when it is needed, eliminating a bottle neck (I have had to wait on mutliple occasions 20 minutes for the manger to become free. 3) Put a sign up when drinks are not being served on how to get service for the desserts. The last time this happened to me there were 4 people who wanted service. That is 4 lost sales in just 10 minutes. Bad business management.

Oh my goodness! First of all asked for the restroom and was directed to a filthy out house outside that hadn't been cleaned in 3 days according to the chart on the wall. Next we go to the checkout area and we approached a register with a young man behind the counter. As we approached he just walked off without saying anything. Next we go to a register that has 2 young women standing off to the side playing with a phone and laughing. My husband asks if they are open and neither one of the women says anything. One goes to the end of the counter while the other one is still fiddling with her phone. So we stand there a moment at which time the cashier totally flexes on my husband and says "what.' I said very loudly. "Wow " Then she changes her tune and greets us. Damage done, I'm looking for a manager. Obviously these people can't be trusted to do work with integrity on their own. No one responded to my request to speak to a manager. I'm never going back to this particular location. We have a couple of New Leaf markets in Santa Cruz where we are from and the workers are always engaging and helpful. I thought it was a store wide policy. Obviously not!!!!

Really cute store, pretty expensive for a grocery store, but then again this is in Half Moon Bay! Very similar to Whole Foods if you're into that sort of thing!

New Leaf has become one of my preferred spots for grocery shopping, primarily because of its commitment to cleanliness and sourcing local products. There's something reassuring about knowing you're supporting local while getting fresh, quality items. Service is commendable - the staff are friendly and always ready to assist, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience every time. The only caveat is the pricing. While I appreciate the premium on local and fresh produce, it does feel a bit steep at times. That said, the quality and overall experience make it worth the occasional splurge. A great store for those who prioritize fresh, local goods in a clean setting!

I usually like coming here. Now I realize it's because there's really no choice in the area. I came in today after 10 am and while I was standing by the cheese section with my cart, a younger guy with glasses and a black hoodie passed by, stopped, yelled " Asian" and he and the older employee who was stocking produce started laughing. I AM Asian, one out of almost 5 billion people in the world. How funny. That exchange plus the quality of what I came home with is enough. Mold in the food, nice job. Not even worth going back for an exchange.

Stopped by here on our way to the beach. Would say it's similar to a Whole Foods. Got some fancy thin sliced truffle beef jerky, banana chips and dried mango slices. Read the label on the banana chips because it's salted not sweet. Got some ginger candies too for a car sick passenger.
