Sam's Chowder House offers excellent food and service with stunning ocean views. The chowder is a must-try, and seafood dishes are highly recommended. The restaurant is always packed, especially on weekends and dinners, making it wise to call in early. Parking is available in the lot in front of the restaurant, although it can fill up quickly. The friendly service adds to the experience, with many guests noting the kindness shown by the staff. After a delicious meal, diners can enjoy a lovely walk on the beach. Great desserts, including key lime pie and bread pudding, are also a highlight. The oysters are very fresh, and the lobster roll is robust and flavorful. The seafood spaghetti is often called absolutely delicious, and the broth in the cioppino is marvelous, making it possibly the best one either guest has ever had. Overall, Sam's Chowder House truly has it all!
Every time I visit HMB, I stop by Sam’s. This time I didn’t have my dog so I sat inside. The food was wonderful, as usual. The chowder is a bit celery-heavy for my taste, but delicious nonetheless.
