Excellent for a short stay. Beds are very comfortable. Bathrooms are fine. Parking is great.

Fine, but for the price point in might be worth just paying a bit more for a nicer place. It is clean, the management is nice, and the bed is nice and firm. But it is very dated and does not have nice amenities (e.g., the lighting is harsh). We wish we had paid 20% more for fancier place.

The hotel is excellent. I have stayed here before and like it so much it is the only one I look for. You can walk to the beach. Great food right by the place, including The Barn. Great choices for the free breakfast with a great coffee machine and juice machine. Staff is so nice and helpful.

Nice FIRM bed! Usually my first concern about a lumpy mattress and getting a decent nights rest. This motel has GREAT beds. Also a nice little service yourself breakfast nook that had many of the basics one needs in the morning.

Room was clean, had all the expected amenities, and everything was in good condition. The owner and staff were very kind and helped us when we weren't able to find an Uber or even a local car service to get to the event we traveled there for which was only 5 minutes away by car. They went above and beyond and showed that they really care about their guests.Rooms: Spacious, clean, and has all basic amenities.Walkability: Can walk to a few restaurants and the shoreline, but really need a car in the area in general as even the closest other hotels/restaurants you cannot get there on foot! Very difficult to call an Uber or car service as they all must drive in from the city and may ignore your requests!!!Food & drinks: Simple complementary breakfast, coffee, and juice.

My husband and I stayed there for 2 nights, and the room was o. K. , the coffee pouches they left were just not very tasty, but we used them. The next morning, I got up early to have a break fast since my husband and I are diabetic, and I am lactose intolerant. Unfortunately for my disgrace, the only Danish they offered have cream, and I can not eat them because I would get sick since they contain milk. They offered cherrios, with no lactose milk, no bread what so ever, the coffee, tasted awful. I asked the attendant if they didn't have any other kind of bread , his answer was no, this is all we have, Continental breakfast, I had Continental Brakfast in other hotels, even when I stayed in the past 3 years at the Next door HOTEL, Quality Inn. They serve donuts, begels with cheese, eggs, a variety of sweet bread, waffles, etc.etc. of corse is $10.00 more, and that was the reason we picked Miramar, bad choice.On top of everything, they didn't clean our room at all, when we came back, the room was exactly as we left it. The bad was not even straightened up. When I called the front desk, they said we did not request it. No, I didn't request it, but I paid the same amount I paid for the first day, I think this is a hotel that does not have very good ,cleanliness, not very good hygiene. We were pleasantly surprised with the size of our room. Very clean rooms with friendly staff. Perfect for our short stay!

NOT WORTH IT, TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE! This is a low grade motel at best not worth the money. We were charged $100 extra for having two friends stop by our room and stay the night because it wasn't safe for them to drive. The breakfast was oatmeal and packaged cinnamon rolls. In total, I paid $300 for a room less than the quality of a Motel 6. The best I can say is the room was moderately clean.

I’ll start with the positive, they let us check in early, and the issue we had they corrected. But, the room was not very clean, hair tie and garbage by the bed, carpets were not very clean and when I pulled back the covers on the bed, they were disgusting. Called the main office and they sent someone down to change the bed. They offered us another room but all our stuff was scattered for the night. The door jams were all scuffed up, and needed paint. Going down to see what their continental is.

I would never write a negative review or comments about a small business without talking to the business about the issue. I live on the coast, I support coastal businesses and believe that is how we keep our community thriving. I am writing this so that others are aware of the lack of assistance or care at the Miramar Inn and Suites. I am not posting on Nextdoor for feedback for, or against, only awareness. I have spent a great deal of time searching their website and have found nothing to support the action they took the night of March 12th.Both my husband and I are ill. My husband booked an online reservation for 3 nights at Miramar Inn and Suites on Sunday afternoon for the grandson who lives with us and is a college student. Due to our illness we did not want him contaminated. He had been away all weekend, arriving at the Miramar Inn and Suites around 11:15pm to check in. They refused to let him stay at the hotel since he is only 19. The credit card was not an issue, my husband volunteered to go to the Inn to sign. They said absolutely he could not stay there under any circumstances due to his age. It states clearly any child age 12 or over is an adult. Nowhere does it say you must be 21 to stay. I called today and tried to talk to the manager. I have a very rough voice currently due to illness. I explained to him calmly and clearly (with a very scratchy voice) that I wanted to speak to someone who could make a policy change/exception. I asked him if the owner was local. He said yes. I explained I had a negative situation I wanted to talk to the owner about since they could make a policy exception/change. I told him I did not want to write anything negative until I could talk to someone in authority. He was not friendly but said I could talk to him. I advised the manager that I wanted to only explain this one time and I would tell him. He said he did not like the tone I was using. I was calm but my voice rough. I said he had a choice to either talk to me or I would write a negative narrative about the situation of last night, and that I did not want to write a negative review.He started yelling that he was listening but using a lot of angry words. I hung up. It was clear he did not care about the situation nor the reputation of the Miramar Inn and Suites. A business needs to know that they have an employee acting on their behalf as an adversary vs as an advocate for the business. This is even more important when a business is locally owned. As they say on the airlines you have a choice when flying. You have a choice when booking accommodations on the coast, so be aware of the lack of service of Miramar Inn and Suites when booking.

I'll start with a positive, they let us check in early, and they took care of the issue. But the main issue was when I turned down the bed the sheets were disgusting, there was blood and who knows what else on them. Management was called, they offered us a new room, but we had all of our stuff set up, in pjs and tired. She remade the bed. The rest of the room had some other issues with stuff on the floor, hair ties, candy wrappers. The carpets need to be cleaned, door jams were dirty, chipped paint on door jams, etc.Breakfast was coffee, yogurt, instant oatmeal, cereal, fruit and pastry and juice. All prepackaged, except for the fruit.

Out of all the hotels we stayed in on our trip to Cal. and back, this hotel had the best, most comfortable mattress's out of all of them. Would stay there again.

Dated and in need of a deep clean or ronovation. Large uncomfortable room, sitting area uncomfortable and mattress very hard. Would not want to be here on a hot day as the ac unit is very noisy.

Could not hear the noise from Highway 1 at all. The breakfast during our stay, which was during covid, was pretty bad, consisting of a sweet bun and yoghurt. Plan ahead if you want a sturdier meal.
