The vets at Animal Clinic West were very patient, kind and really wanted the best for my baby kitty. She had an abscess on her jaw and needed to get spayed, they did the surgeries at the same time and she came out perfect. She is very healthy now! Thank you to the entire staff for helping us during a very difficult time.

They are wonderful people that truly care about their patients. I have been taking my pets there since 2007.

Dr Choo, not sure if he is new at this clinic, likes to sequester patients preventing us from buying medication at other places, especially the internet, where we may find cheaper prices, very rude,, unprofessional and careless

I just called to ask a question if they are taking in new patients and what the fee was for the first consultation. I was cut off by the rep who said that she was the answering service, that the doctor was in the hospital and that they would leave a message so I could get I call back. I said thanks and she hung up on me? Sooo I wonder who is going to call back when they don't know my name, or number. Hope the doctor is ok, or the patient they are helping. I am writing this review to just let the clinic know that your answering service is rude, not helpful, and condescending.

I think this place is great for low cost, routine services or minor pet health issues. But if your pet needs extensive care or more complex treatments, I don’t think this is the right clinic for you. They close super early and even though they claim they have someone “checking in” on hospitalized pets, that someone is not a vet and if your pet has an urgent issue while there overnight, they won’t get the needed help. There is also no way to check in on your hospitalized pet outside of their 8-3 working hours. We really regret leaving our dog here overnight, he didn’t make it and we’ll never know if that wouldn’t have been the case if he was in a clinic with actual 24 hour vet care. We’re devastated.

Very unorganized. The women in the front (Maria and Louisa) are rude and defensive because they know they’re trying to scam you. The vet barely touches your animal and tries to sell you a ton of other vaccines/products. Do not trust them, the doctor is too old to be doing this and it seems like he’s taking orders from staff rather than him giving the orders.

Went to get my dogs ears cleaned and later got a call that he had passed … showed no sympathy and refused to give me or my girlfriend records of our dogs , instead informed us that we would have to get a court order or attempt a law suit in order to receive my dogs medical records. Then later compared his job to being a cop and also later went off topic and talked about school shootings and agreeing with officers not entering the school during a school shooting. Locked the doors on us and told us to not call back again.

If you love your pets don't bring them here. We asked multiple times before coming in if the exam would be included with their "5 in 1 vaccine". Dr. Woodward himself told me so, before coming in and that I'd only be paying $55 for it. I was very specific when talking to him because I knew that I could have just gone to the local animal shelter and get it for $10 but the exam included would have been a good thing. When we get there, Louisa the apparent new assistant, kept cutting us off when going over the prices and rushing us to the doctor's office for treatment. Saying "no I don't know about that but we're only doing vaccines today" and that we'd "have to pay extra for the exam." I don't know if she's new to this but as customers we like to know what we will be paying BEFORE hand. I honestly don't know what this sad lady's purpose is here besides losing customers. Of course when I complained, the manager covered for her saying they've never had problems. Well neither have we...until today. I had to remind the doctor about our conversation and his response was "Yes I did say that you would get the exam free, let's take him back out" Let's talk about the "exam" We suspected that our cat had another eye infection and the doctor just prescribed the antibiotics. No flash light used to look in his eyes and ears. And we were hoping the doctor could have administered the medication so he can began to feel better. Instead we were told "you know what to do" and had to drive home with my cat untreated. Oh the best part? We ended up being charged $55 PER vaccine. I think it's time to retire.

I've taken my cat here twice now and I will not be going here again. Both times I went in for an exam but specifically to check my cat's eyes. The doctor would only check the eyes even though I payed/requested a full exam too. I had to remind him about it and even remind him what to check. "How's his heart rate? Did you weigh him? How's his teeth?" Things that I would assume that he would check on his own. I understand he's an older man but I need yo make sure everything is ok. Overall, I felt extremely rushed. They kept putting my cat in the carrier, saying "we're done" before the exam was even over. There's about 2 other staff members there who also rush you through the whole process. I couldn't get my questions in. I tried to ask for pricing at the front desk but they rush you to the back and quickly do the treatment. I need to know what I'm spending before I agree. The assistant especially was incredibly disrespectful and dismissive. If I met her the first time I would have never went back. Tbh the entire staff there will tell you different information and confused themselves. If you do decide to go, I recommend have everything in writing from the doctor and get clear information at the front desk.

I recommend this clinic, there's a lovely couple who have been together for so long, we got my dog vaccinated here. I see various reviews that the veterinarian will ignore your questions, he just can't hear too well due to his agehat's all, otherwise very informative!

When I called in it's a old person answering the phone seems a little too old for the job he couldn't even answer the questions I was asking would act as if he didn't hear them . My dog don't need shots he's up to date the old man kept talking about shots . Then asked what kind of dog do I have and said he needs to be muzzled before they see him .he's a pit bull they haven't even seen him in person yet . Worse place ever needs new staff and to not bully my bread that's ridiculous he needs a Dickensian muzzle for that slow a** speech
