GET A SECOND OPINION! I went to inquire about getting a patch on my tire (2/12/24). I showed him a picture of the tire that had the nail in it. I was then told I would need a whole new tire and they could not patch it. For some background when I had my spare put on I was informed by the AAA agent the hole was repairable and only needed to be patched. Later in the day I went to Pep Boys in Carson. I showed him the same picture, and was told immediately that the tire is repairable, and only needed to be patched! He then stated the salesman's at this location was just trying to get over on me! I didn't get his name, but he was a tall slim African American Man. DO BETTER!

Really poor customer service and greedy. The one on the front named Joe can't even communicate well and looks high as a kite. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING HERE

Came in today hoping to get a diagnostic on my car and Darnell was of such great help he helped me thru the whole process and explained everything to me he went above and beyond not to mention he has amazing customer service thank you again I will definitely be back !

Overpriced work and cheap parts. Get your vehicle serviced at another shop. Avoid Pep Boys unless you are trying to get scammed. Took my car in to get serviced and got it back the same day. After a few days car kept making noise. Took the car back several days later to get that checked out and I get told “everything was okay” and they couldn’t replicate the noise. As soon as I drive off guess what I hear the noise.

Recently got tires installed at this location, car shakes around 40-80mph, I've consistently returned several times to explain my issue in great detail, not only to the service writer, but as well to the assistant manger & manger (Which they did nothing). I was told every time that they would "take a look at it" only for them to tell me "oh, we ran out of time, cause we overbooked our customers" Okay cool, you overbooked, so why not make an appointment so 1 can be a priority right? Wrong, even after scheduling TWO appointments on my behalf, they still didn't even "look at it" even though I had an appointment, I was told they overbooked again. I recommend anybody to please read the reviews before giving them your money, cause clearly they only care about how much money they make off the customer not customer satisfaction (I even got an alignment which still pulls to the right). Definitely, will not-be coming back here ever again & I advise anybody to do the same, they wöuldn't even be my 2nd or 3rd option.

Great Service. Very Welcoming and accomodating!!! Big Shout out to the Manager Darnell!!! He's very honest and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this location and ask for HIM!!! KUDOS TO THIS BRANCH, TO DARNELL AND HIS TEAM !!! I will definitely come back for other service!!!

I had to get my brakes replaced. I was advised to get them changed for $500. Crazy price for aftermarket brakes. They aren't so detailed when it comes to explaining the situation with the vehicle. I did need them changed so I ended up paying it. Now my car just screeches every time I put my foot on the brake. I took it to a Honda service center and they said my brakes are fine, I can get them replaced OEM for $230 half the price for what pep boyz wanted. Don't get scammed by them and trust your OEM service center no matter what. It's so wack no I have to drive with screeches now. I would not recommend this place at all. My car would never screech, smh it's just disappointing how people can charge so much and do a poor job. Amen

I think the whole team working here was high the day of my visit not just because of the way the employees acted but by the smell of what seemed like a ran over skunk. I told the cashier not once but 3 times to leave one tire on the rim and that I brought a brand new rim to put one of my new tires on so I could keep one as a spare. After about an hour and a half he says I'm ready. Only to find out my new rim was in my trunk and he didn't leave the old tire on one. His response was, "oh I was kinda confused about what you wanted". I told him specifically and asked if there were any questions just let me know. He said it was too late to put my old tire on the rim and that I'd have to come back. Then as I drove away my car was shaking worse than ever before, it was like they didn't even balance them. All and all if you want a good job done take it to a mom and pop shop these franchises don't care at all. Worse tire experience I've ever had. And will be turned off of pep boys for the rest of my life.

I came here to get my headlight bulbs replaced. I wish I hadn't. First, it took them 4 hours to complete (4 hours for headlight bulbs?). Second, and more importantly, a few miles after leaving the shop, my dash lights up with warning lights (check engine light, traction control light, tire pressure system light), and the performance of my car is noticeably worse. When I got home, I plugged in my onboard diagnostic reader and looked up the code. It told me there was a "mass air flow sensor" problem. I understand that these sensors go out sometimes, and I thought I would need to get it cleaned or replaced. I thought it was probably just a coincidence that it happened right after the headlight bulb replacement. I decided to inspect the engine prior to taking it in to get fixed. Much to my surprise, the MAF sensor was left unplugged after the light bulb replacement! Luckily, I could simply reach down and plug it back in. This was incredibly sloppy work by the mechanic at Pep Boys that could have led to some very serious and costly problems for me. I will not be going back and I recommend that others find alternative repair shops. Oh, and I looked around to see what the normal charge is to replace headlight bulbs, and, lo and behold, I was overcharged significantly.

I'm going to start my review with a lot of regret.I do not recommend anyone to service this store.First, there is no one responsible. It's a general mess.I went to have my car aligned on Sunday 07/23 and arrived at 12:18 pm to request the repair.I was told that I could only do it at 3:30pm. It was an emergency, I ended up accepting it! I was waiting 2 hours at the store and called my wife to pick me up, at 3:15pm they called me saying it was ready.The worst was not the delay! because he told me the time, I was impressed that the 3 employees went to lunch at the same time and took 2 hours to return.I'll put a photo of the empty workshop.I thought it was disrespectful!!!!! 3 employees going to lunch together! But the worst is yet to come!! The steering wheel of my car is very misaligned. (photo)I don't know how it works here in America, because I'm Brazilian and there they line up by the steering wheel.The store is rubbish !!! Bad service !!!U$100.00 thrown away !!! As soon as I return from the trip, I will go back to the store to redo the service.The email they send asking for your suggestion does not accept 1 or 2 stars, only from 3 stars.Rafael Ribeiro.

You are not supposed to "special order" parts without getting authorization from the customer first! You cannot just "special order" a part and supposedly install it. I mean, you did "special order" said part without my knowledge so how do I know that it was actually installed?!? When I asked, "Did you know I needed this "special order" when I asked how much the oil change was going to be?" You said YES but still failed to inform me prior to taking my keys! You shouldn't take advantage of customers especially women. We should be able to come in and expect honesty from your business and employees! Is this why it took you over 2 hours to do my oil change? Or cancel my appointment so that I won't be able to track the progress of my service? This is not the Pep Boys Mission, Vision and Values!

I had a tough first experience regarding wait time, but after getting in contact with pep boys and Darnell, pep boys took care of me and ultimately I'm saving a lot of money having gone to pep boys. 3 month warranty assures if anything happens to the car or if pep boys makes an error, it will be corrected for free. Make an appointment over the phone and save yourself a lot of time. I will be coming back for my wheel alignment needs.

They were very friendly, were able to inspect my vehicle right away. Did not seem knowledgeable of my issue with the facts given. They did not have the tool needed to remove my tires, wanted to break my wheel locks and charge me for it. Misdiagnosed the issue with my breaks.. Left and went to a local mechanic who identified the problem with the details given, problem solved elsewhere.
