“Amazing customer service, will definitely be returning! My road bike sounded pretty rough and didn’t feel right. I swung in to have them take a quick look at it and get set up with a full tune up. On the spot they made some quick adjustments to get me back on the road until my actual appointment. My bike feels like a whole new bike already! Appreciate their expertise and being so helpful. I look forward returning.”
“Really nice wheels for the price. Have about 600 miles on them, so far. Noticed a comfort and speed difference from my Dura Ace C35s (rim brake, bonded carbon to aluminum), especially when spinning at higher speeds. I ride in heavy wind almost every day, and these do well with wind in any direction. FFWD is among the select few that sells good-quality carbon clincher/rim brake wheels. Very well packed and they look great on my Lynskey. They lost a slight bit of true after the first 100 miles. But I trued them back to perfection in a jiff.
Update with about 1600 miles - love em. Highly recommend them. Still perfect, true, fast, all good. No signs of brake pad wear on the rims, but I am careful.
UPDATE: I have about 2600 miles on these wheels. They have not had nor needed any maintenance except for cleaning and lubing the nipple threads. Great wheels.”
“We were on a road trip from San Diego and we stopped for 3 nights in Marina Del Rey. The hotel we stayed at offers bicycles to guests with 2 hours for free, except they don't have kid bikes for 9 year olds. We walked down Washington Blvd towards the beach and found West LA Bicycle. The owner was super friendly and unfortunately the medium sized bike was already rented out but my daughter got a smaller size which was good for her. The price is really competitively favorable for an all day rental and we had a great time bicyling on the bike path down to Santa Monica Pier and back.
We came back the next day so we could bicycle around the Venice Canals neighborhood. I am not sure of the need in the area for kids bicycles but it could be a good niche rental market to have kids bikes and even training wheels. There were a lot of families staying our hotel and I could see a lot of parents with kids on Washington Blvd and at Venice Beach towards Santa Monica Pier.”

“Purchased two RX and both are up and running. There were any a couple issues and they both may have to due with shipping via FedEx. One, the front disk brake rotor was bent and had to be replaced and the other I cannot get the back derailed dialed in. I’ve had a couple shops look at it and one said it was bent. I’m not sure about that but seeing how the boxes were so beat up I need to look further.Performance is incredible. I live in Golden Colorado and as you can imagine the selection of terrain is endless. I’ve been to the top of hills and mountains where I had no business being. Lesson learned.Im looking forward to getting things fixed and riding this coming season.”

Went to two other shops in town and was told I would have at least a week wait. I rolled up to Helen's and spoke to the service manager Wilber. I explained to him that we were only in town for the day and taking our mountain bikes out to death Valley And needed them turned around as quickly as possible, he initially said the following morning but then when we realized we would be leaving town before the shop opened he said no problem I will have them done before 5 PM. I got a text at 1 PM saying the bikes were done!
Went to pick them up and as soon as Wilber saw my van rolling into the parking lot he was doing a final inspection and wheeling them out. Both bikes were serviced way beyond my expectations. Not a single detail was overlooked and they both rode flawlessly. Thanks to Wilber and his team for doing such a great job with my bikes!”
