Good prices, knowledgeable staff willing to help you get the right part! My heater blower motor died just before a birthday dinner party. With their help I got the correct motor for a 50 year old heater, Kevin even reviewed the pictures I had and checked the fit of the new motor. It did require a rubber adapter to fit in the old frame. They gave me a good price and had the new motor in 1 day. It was a fairly easy install and my heater is back up and running in time for my party. You might find parts cheaper on Amazon but will it be the right part? How would you handle a return? Will amazon give you any advice? Working with a local company is SO much better.

Not good to lose customers. Contractors parts store Only. I wanted to buy a part for my AC unit but because i did not have A, B or C10 licence they did not sell the part to me. I got it from Amazon ( cheaper and free delivery) and no questions asked. That is so 1980. We are in 21st century.

I needed to replace the ductwork on a 50 year old mobile home. It was full of leaks and such a thin gauge it sounds like an oil can popping every time the heat came on or off. They had all the flex duct and floor boots and all the other parts that I needed of a much thicker gauge sheet metal than the big box home improvement stores. Plus they rolled it all out in a big cart to my vehicle. Most importantly, the people who work there, especially JR (HVAC guy) knows his stuff and is very helpful. While waiting I saw him help a Hispanic contractor with a replacement motor for a blower fan. Some of the wire colors were different, so the contractor was confused. he went through it with him explaining the differences by comparing the 2 name plates and telling him the colors that are the same and the new wire colors that are different. He did this all in perfect Spanish, then helped me in perfect English. I know a lot of stuff can be bought online at eBay and Amazon, but for a lot of HVAC parts you are better off taking the broken part along with photos of your model and serial number to a store like this. They can usually cross-reference a replacement part that they have in stock. You'll have it immediately (things always fail on the hottest or coldest days) and not worry about if it's the right part or not. Plus a lot of parts online are not of the same quality and will fail later. Parts from a supply house are going to be better because they sell to contractors that don't want warranty callbacks.

Very friendly staff. Being a DIsabled veteran on a fixed income, the original price was a lil high for me. After finding out I was a veteran through discussion with another veteran in the store, Jose gave me like a 40% discount which dropped the price to something a lil more manageable for me. I will definitely be coming here for my heater parts from here on out. Truly a great store, thanks guys.

Went to their location in Hawthorne, CA and asked for a recommendation for a licensed, insured installer. The person they recommended was neither, did terrible work and I ended up firing them and hiring someone else who had fix the original guys work and complete the job. It cost me 40% more that my original budget. In addition, the Johnstone Supply location kept allowing this person to order & charge items on my credit card even without my approval, and after I told them they weren't allowed to do this. The manager of the location isn't helpful so I went to Johnstone's corporate office and they said that this is a franchise so there isn't anything they can do. I spoke to the owner and they aren't helpful either trying to send me back to the location manager that helped create the issue to begin with. I would go to another HVAC store like HD Supply or Ferguson who at least has a larger company behind them that might be more interested in supporting customers and having a focus on customer service.

I called to see if they had specific ac vents. They told me they had only and could order seven more to complete my order. I drove 30 min to the location to pick up the one piece in stock. Upon arrival he showed me a scratched piece with hole. I wasn't going to take that vent because it had side holes and scratches . The salesperson told me tomorrow will be all s olid. It was probably a return piece. He was nice and courteous. I came back the next day and received all vents . They were all scratches with holes. It was another salesperson who quickly got mad and told me I'll refund you but we will never sell to you. As I am speaking to him another lady jump in to say we have no control about what the factory sent . This is it . Dismissing anything I had to say. Poor customer service. They were mad that I wouldn't take their vents who were not what I ordered. In a nutshell I went there two days . My time is money too but I guess they don't care about. Go to Ferguson . Way better service. I will drive a little further for better service
