I came to the WSS (Lawndale) buy a pair of shoes. The first time, a young lady helped me and she was very kind and helpful. The next day, I came back just to exchange them for a smaller size, and unfortunately, the girl who assisted me this time was unpleasant. She didn’t smile and spoke in a disrespectful tone like I don’t care. (Probably because I speak in Spanish and she speak Spanish) I don’t know, but sometimes people think that we don’t deserve good treatment. (No everybody)
All we really ask for is good service — kindness and a simple smile. It’s so easy, and it makes such a big difference. In my case, it’s especially disappointing because I also work in customer service, and I’m truly passionate about providing a great experience for clients. That’s why I believe it’s important to choose the right employees to be in front of customers — or, if someone doesn’t enjoy dealing with the public, it’s perfectly fine for them to work in a role that doesn’t require it.
Other than that, everything else was fine — the store was great.

I went to ten shoe warehouses looking for a particular style from NIKE. No luck. I drove as far to LA MIRADA. No luck. I entered the location in Hawthorne on 120 st. After 5 minutes of walking I found the shoe i was looking for. They had other styles i will be purchasing. I will be loyal to this location. The staff starting with the MGR were friendly and knowledgeable.

The African-American gentleman, the one with the African accent, picked up the Phone, sound sounded incompetent to what I asked him said hold on put the phone down and never picked it up after 11 minutes. I had to hang up. Management you need to check your employee.

I recently visited this WSS location with my family, and I’m extremely disappointed by the experience we had. From the moment we walked in, the customer service was unwelcoming and dismissive. What made it worse was being asked for ID just to make a purchase with **cash** and to use my **rewards**, which made absolutely no sense. Register Violet Ramos
It felt discriminatory and targeted especially since others around us weren’t being treated the same way. We were literally pushed to the side and ignored, and the staff seemed more focused on rushing us out than actually helping us.
This visit left my entire family feeling disrespected and unwelcome. I expected better, not only from a store we’ve supported before but from a company that claims to care about its customers.
Until WSS addresses these customer service issues and trains their staff on professionalism and respect, I won’t be returning.

I recently visited this Warehouse Shoe Store in Hawthorne, CA, and unfortunately, my experience was highly disappointing. From the moment I entered, the environment felt unwelcoming and uncomfortable. The store had a pervasive smell of alcohol, which was not only off-putting but also made me feel uneasy about the professionalism of the staff.
The customer service was subpar. The demeanor of the employees was rude and dismissive, which is unacceptable in any retail setting. Additionally, there was an unsettling attempt at intimidation by the staff that made me feel very uncomfortable. This behavior included unwarranted profiling and creating an unsafe atmosphere for customers.
The store itself lacked a warm, inviting environment, making it difficult to focus on finding what I needed. Overall, the experience was distressing and unprofessional. I hope the management addresses these issues to ensure a more respectful and safe shopping experience for all customers in the future.
