Really good customer service and if you're in the area and you ever need a public scale and can't find one of these places have one make sure you have cash on you cause they take cash only I believe it's $10 or $20. All these places have public skills they don't advertise it, but they will wear your truck for a fee.

While an interstate move is never pleasant, Alexanders Mobility Services made it oh so much worse.
They were subcontracted by our primary moving company to deliver our stuff in SF from PDX.
From the first moment of interaction, when they demanded extra money to pay overtime for a Saturday delivery in October, to our final contact in mid-January, they have been nothing but a headache.
While there are many things to discuss, such as the lack of timeliness, the driverâs surliness, etc., the primary point of this review is to shine a spotlight on their business practices.
The driver who delivered our belongs, despite (allegedly) having been at the delivery site previously, brought a truck that was way too large for the buildings clearance and caused several thousands of dollars of damage to our building upon exit.
Adjudicating this seemed simple. We had video footage. We had witness statements. We had obvious facts that if you bring a fully laden 12.5â truck into a 13â clearance garage on a ramp, bad things will happen.
But, Alexanders appears to self-adjudicate claims against itself. Yes. Self-adjudicates claims against itself.
So, we have video evidence, eyewitness accounts that say âI sawâ. The driver, clearly lying as he says he left on 10/26/24 and it was dark when sunset wasnât until 6:17 that evening, couches his lies in âmy guy never said I hit anything.â His subordinates, apparently with no choice but to go along with Alexanderâs driverâs lies, say âto the best of my knowledgeâ and âI donât recall hitting anythingâ.
Our witness statements are âI noticed a broken clearance bar on the truckâ and âthey were backing up and hit the clearance bar.â
Get that. I donât recall versus I saw.
But, given Alexanderâs self-adjudication of claims against itself, they accepted âI donât recallâ, and endlessly dragged our case on. They got to a point where âwhy didnât they call the copsâ⌠well, because your driver left after refusing to give his information to our witnesses, who werenât able to block a massive delivery truck from leaving?
They then became perfectly ridiculous. Well, can I see the damaged item before it was damaged? Well⌠our property doesnât focus our security cameras 13 ft above the street in San Francisco. We generally find that competent persons wonât be interfering with our property at that height. Weâre more worried about, and thus focus, our security cameras on the street level. Also, the truck was so tall there was no light between it and the ceiling of our building.
Our claims handler, after having strung the case on for over two months with new requests, finally said that after consulting with her other Alexanderâs employees they found themselves not culpable and wouldnât be paying the claim.
So convenient for them⌠but would you ever pay a claim against yourself even if you knew you were in the wrong. Of course you would, because you are an honorable person. But not Alexanders. Nope.

They were not supposed to move my safe. They tried multiple times to take it, moving the things sitting on top (also told not to touch) removing the American flag I had covering it, wadding that up in a pile and exposing my safe to view of the general public as they loaded the rest of my garage. They then left everything that way when completed. Very unprofessional

Iâd highly recommend Alexanderâs to anyone in need of moving services! This is the second time Iâve used them and both times have been great experiences. The moving crew was on time, efficient and carefully handled me and my girlfriendâs property. Alexanderâs is great about making sure youâre taken care of. Iâll be using them in the future!

Maybe this isnât on Alexanderâs but they contract to Atlas in moves, which is a wildly unethical company. They broke over 1.5k worth of my belongings in a move without compensation despite insurance, six moths now after the move. Alexanderâs did nothing to step in on my behalf. These two companies should not even have a business license.

Best movers ever!! From start to finish, every single person was on time, helpful, and helped to make our move easy from California to Colorado. They gave us packing tips, communicated the entire process, and even did their own research to ensure they could park at our place without blocking traffic. Weâve moved 5 times and Alexanderâs is by far the best.
